Bookings all taken care of, email updates were relevant and helpful, and everything worked out as planned.

My experience with bookatrekking was great! Organising the hike was seamless and the app navigation was very helpful.

Bookatrekking took all the stress out of planning the stays at the different rifugio- and this let me focus on training and preparation for the trek.

Slightly too long the daily treks for us (we did the three-nights four-days Short AV1). Would also suggest staying in Toblach instead of Cortina before the hike. Otherwise perfect.

we were able to do the AV1 backpacking wihotu any hassel with all the refugios booked by Bookatrekking. The email notifications and information provided was very useful. They recommended making the bus reservation which was a great tip!

Bookatrekking took care of all accommodations, the headache of planning the itinerary, and the app with the route was exceptional! We were raving about bookatrekking to everyone on the trail!

This review is primarily for Bookatrekking's service. We booked the Comfort TMB trek for August 2026. The core value expected from Bookatrekking is securing accommodations and arranging luggage transfers for the premium fee they charge.

However, they failed to deliver on the accommodation they confirmed was fully secured. On Day 9, after an exhausting hike with my wife not feeling well, we reached our hotel only to discover there was no reservation. Bookatrekking had used Booking.com (a platform we could have used directly), and the reservation had been canceled back in December 2025 Bookatrekking didn't even have any clue it has happened and couldn't figure why it did happen.

Instead of accepting responsibility and offering immediate assistance, they engaged in lengthy back-and-forth before booking us into an inferior accommodation—disregarding our clear, written agreement on an acceptable replacement. To top it off, they initially asked us to take public transportation to transfer ourselves.

Given their lack of accountability, diligence, and responsiveness, I strongly advise against using their service.

Really if I could give 4.5 stars that would be more correct. This was the trip of a lifetime. Here are some things that were great and then just a few things that would have made it just a little better.

You did all of the booking for us. Planning this, particularly lodging, on our own when not knowing the area at all would have been difficult and stressful.

We loved the tracking our location in reference to the trail in real time. That was so helpful!

Booking some of the same people at the same lodging each night turned out to be such a blessing. You become comfortable with the folks you are sharing sleeping quarters with.

All of the information about packing etc provided ahead of time is great. There really was a lot of information provided to prepare ahead of time.

suggestions:
2 of the 5 nights' lodging were pretty far off the trail. All of the backtracking the next day that that meant was very frustrating. The night in Grassonet was particularly exasperating. Please provide an alternate route if there is a shortcut even if it means going through a town. We spent hours going around the town on a less than stellar backwoods trail at the end of a very long day, just to end up at the end of the road through town we could have taken. Then the route the next day was to backtrack that very exasperating couple of hours! Thank goodness some more savvy travelers than us, figured out how to take a bus closer to the actual TMB trail head. Maybe just include these kind of options in the daily route run down. Also if it's possible not to use this particular refuge would be an improvement.

Seamless organization, probably more emails than strictly necessary but very thorough nonetheless

We had a lot of fun on the trail and the sights were amazing. The food at the huts were good. There were a few challenging sections, but I would definitely recommend the trail.
The Bookatrekking app prepares you well and has all the info you need.

We used Bookatrekking.com to handle logistics for a 4-day Brenta Dolomites trek, with hotel stays on both ends. From the moment we booked (well in advance), their communication was excellent — quick, clear responses to every question we had. All the hut and hotel reservations went off without a hitch.

If you're looking for a short trek in a truly stunning environment, this is it. My wife and I have done treks all over the world, including multiple trips to the Dolomites in both summer and winter, and this one stands out as one of our all-time favorites. The huts were fantastic, each in a more beautiful location than the last.

One thing to plan for: this is a point-to-point trek, not a loop (Madonna di Campiglio to Molveno), so if you leave a car or extra luggage at the start, you'll need to figure out how to get it to the end point. We had a rental car in Madonna and were headed on to Selva di Gardena afterward, so on the last day two of us took a bus back to Madonna to retrieve the car and everyone's bags — about 3 hours there, 1 hour back. There are several ways to handle this logistically, but it did make for a long final day. Worth knowing in advance so you can plan around it.

Overall, a fantastic trip made easy by great planning and support from the Bookatrekking team. Highly recommend.

Stays were well organized and seamless. Navigation was easy. Communication was excellent. Highly recommend!

It was nice to be able to do the tour without having to worry much about the logistics. Bookatrekking set up all the accommodations and every refuge was nice with no negative surprises. They also have a nice app that consolidated all of the info you need in a concise manner. All the routes got from current hut to next hut and were really easy to follow. The weather and packing checklist were very useful as well.

Im not sure that other booking sites allow you to book solo but this is a good one for people wanting to do a solo/self guided trek. It was nice being able to go at my own pace but then having the social aspect at the refuges. You tend to meet a lot of people along the way which makes the tour more memorable

As for the hiking itself, the trails were well marked and maintained, there were a lot of people on the trails but not in a crowded sense and the views and food were great. A truly great trek. It was challenging but very doable

This is my third Trek with Bookatrekking.com. Each trip has been fantastic. As much as I hate to increase their popularity and competition for future treks, they deserve it. Well done. Thank you for all your assistance, and I really liked your new app.

This was my first booking with BookaTrekking - but certainly not the last!

From the first contact on booking (which was simple and well-explained) to last the comms were excellent. They made great efforts to change dates when one hut wasn’t available, and responded very quickly to emails.

When an issue did crop up - one hut takes cash-only (I understand this is the first year they have run this trek, and having led first expeditions around the world myself, I expected some wrinkles along the way) - they were available on the phone and between us we resolved the issue very quickly and with common sense.

The trek itself was terrific. The Alps in Liechtenstein are much quieter than other better/known areas - bit no-less spectacular.

Having been highly recommended to me by a colleague I was hoping for a satisfactory experience with Bookatrekking - and that was exactly what I got - and more!

There were three major issues with this company.

1.Response time to emails is abysmal. When contacted during our hike they said the office was shut for the weekend but they had over 24 hours after the weekend to respond but did not. They stated there was an emergency number to call. It was not an emergency, it was a simple request about bus connections that even when they did respond did not answer because 'we should have finished the trail by now'. Make this information much clearer in the your app please. Thanks for nothing.

2. Wildly inaccurate distances listed on app and dangerous tracks with no alternative listed. Day 2 of our AV 1 hike was in fact 21km not 15.5km. This was an issue every day of our 8 day hike. Clearly with this large distances being inaccurate it also made our times inaccurate. There was a dangerous part of the track on day 4 (it was raining) and we could not amend the app to guide is to a safer route with the knowledge provided by the rufigio staff.

3. Up to date information. The trails are outdated on the app. Some have been completely obliterated by landslides and washouts. Some major alternatives have been put in place. This is not reflected on the app. Someone needs to get out of the office and check the trails rather than swiping our cards and ignoring the reviews that are coming at you thick and fast.

The AV1 is absolutely amazing. It's a shame a company is too lazy to amend some important data which would make it a much better experience.

Everything went so smoothly for us on the half Alta via 2! The app with directions (including the alternate routes with via Ferratas) and information on our rifugio stays was a weight lifted off our shoulders. Well worth the cost. We had an amazing time and highly recommend booking this trek. It was the trip of a lifetime for my husband and I!
