Took my Volvo here to resolve a problem with a flickering headlight. They mistakenly diagnosed the problem as requiring a new headlight.

Over £2,000 spent, problem not fixed, it turned out it wasn’t the headlight at fault, it was a control board, which should have cost a fraction of the price.

Best they could offer to remedy the situation was to do the correct work for free, which would have left me over £1,500 out of pocket.

You take your car to a specialist garage to trust them to get it right. Failure to get it right is bad enough, but to refuse to accept their own liability, thinking it’s ok to cost their customers thousands for wrongful work, is despicable.

And then they refused to even do the correct work because I wouldn’t agree to sign away thousands agreeing to their pitiful offer!

I’m left over £2,000 down for work which never needed doing. And still needing to get my car fixed elsewhere.

Moral of the story, don’t entrust your car to these people.

We’ve used BMC for several years following a nightmare experience with our local Volvo dealership. We go to them for routine servicing, and any issues that crop up in between. They’re honest, reliable, and know Volvos inside out. Highly recommended.

Have used BMC for years; always thorough, reliable and good value. Outstanding last week; was advised by Volvo main dealer in Oct 24 (9000 miles ago) that XC90 rear brake pads were 80% worn and tyres need replacing. Booked in at BMC Feb 25 for pads; they called within 20 minutes saying the pads were not yet 80% worn at all and didn't need replacing for at least another 8000 miles. No charge at all, despite the use of a loan car for a morning. Brilliant. Total respect to these guys. Honest and trustworthy thank you!

This was the first time I used bmc-volvo, I'm very pleased I found them and I will be using them in the future. My first contact by phone left me confident they understood the work needed and really new how to do it economically, they explained what was needed and quoted a fair price. When I collected the car today there were no unexpected extras and I was given an itemised bill for the agreed work. Thoroughly recommended,
