About Bluebird Care
Written by the company
Since 2004, Bluebird Care has been here to keep loved ones where they feel safest: at home. We started as a family business, and today we’re honoured to be a trusted partner in home care for families across the UK through our network of over 200 local teams.
Our purpose is simple yet profound: we’re here to enrich the lives of those we care for—helping them stay independent, maintain dignity, and enjoy the everyday comforts of home. Our team of compassionate professionals is dedicated to making this possible, day in and day out.
At Bluebird Care, we know how hard it can be to balance care with life’s many demands. We understand the emotional weight that comes with aging, illness, or disability, and we’re here to provide support that feels not just capable, but caring.
We offer a wide range of services, from personal care and companionship to dementia support and end-of-life care—always tailored to the unique needs and wishes of each person we care for. And we’re here for families, too, helping lift the responsibility from your shoulders so you can focus on being the son or daughter, rather than the caregiver.
Bluebird Care stands out because we genuinely listen. We make sure that every service is crafted around the people we serve. With us, you can trust that your loved ones are in gentle, reliable hands, so you can have peace of mind and they can have the comfort of home.

Working for bluebird care
I started working for blue bird care on the 3rd December. They are fantastic. The manager and office staff are so friendly, helpful, supportive, approachable and always at the end of the phone whenever you need them. The whole team are always happy to help and also very supportive. It’s a pleasure and privilege to work for such an amazing team! I can not wait to see what the future brings me while working for blue bird care.
The training they give is amazing and the lady that runs the training sessions is amazing!

Avoid- toxic
This is the most toxic workplace I have ever worked in. One of the directors has done everything she can to discredit me or get me to quit. Selina is a bully. The other director is great, but whilst Selina is there I do not recommend this company.
If you value your sanity work elsewhere. I wish I had read the reviews before joining. Whilst there are positive reviews these do not reflect my experience or that of several other people who Selina has forced out of their roles. I would also call into question the validity of some of these 5 star reviews which have been left by people who didn't receive care from them and didn't work for the company.
For Bluebird head office- you will continue to lose good employees unless you intervene.
Proud to work for Bluebird Care - Lancaster & South Lakeland
I've worked for Bluebird Care - Lancaster & South Lakeland since May 2025, this is my best experience of employment in this industry. Where I thought there was no hope of ever saying i loved my job, what i do and who i work for, I've finally found that feeling and I can truly and honestly say I love my job, what I do and who I work for. Bluebird care for their staff as much as they do their customers. I am grateful and proud to say I work for Bluebird.

First Class Company - Highly recommend!
From the very first phone call to Bluebird Care in Andover we felt relieved. A very professional, friendly and efficient team set up an initial visit to discuss our mum's situation and from then on it went very well meeting the carers who looked after mum brilliantly.

My interactions with Bluebird Care
My interactions with Bluebird Care – covering Newmarket, Fenland, Cambridge & South Cambs – have been outstanding. The caregivers are not only compassionate but also highly skilled, consistently showing real empathy and honoring the dignity of those they assist. The team at the office communicates exceptionally well and is consistently responsive and helpful.

Good staff welfare
I have never seen a company as interested in staff welfare like Bluebird Care Shropshire. Birthday vouchers, Christmas goodies, flexible rota, good pay as well.

At the beginning everything was so good...
At the beginning, I truly liked the company. The training was super, very informative, and professional.
Later, when the company was sold to a different person, many employees left, and we who stayed weren't supported as we should have been.
Some Managers allowed abuse from senior employees of the ones who were new.
It was sad what happened... Very judgmental and unfair.

The best care provider I have experience of!
I needed to find a new care company to undertake a weekly shopping visit to enable my uncle to continue to live independently. Having searched on line for local companies in Walsall and speaking to a few Bluebird came over as the most promising so I arranged a meeting between them and my uncle where they assessed his needs and offered further options to help meet his needs. It didn’t seem to matter that we were only talking about a single weekly visit rather than a care package. My uncle found the Bluebird carers who called to be more reliable and supportive than the previous company. One improvement was that the calls were by regular staff so my uncle was able to get to know them. I also arranged for Bluebird to take my uncle to one of his hospital appointments so that he knew he would have a backup option if I was not available. That went very smoothly and my uncle was very impressed and reassured. Unfortunately after a few months my uncles health deteriorated and I had to speak with Vicky about first suspending the calls as he went into respite care and then canceling them on his death. Vicky was very understanding and flexible during this time. Bluebird are a very professional outfit and I found them very easy to work with. While their charges may be a little higher than other care companies out there they are worth it, you pay for what you get!

My name is Mrs Natalia Bryan
My name is Mrs Natalia Bryan. I am a client of Elenorecare in Bournemouth. Spent 6,5 years with the company. I have a severe Rheumatoid Arthritis and pains in my body. That restricts my mobility. The situation in the company is very difficult. They employ very unprofessional people from different countries who do not have a training. Because of that I had an Indian girl called Manuka who did not know what to do. We all have a plan; it would take several minutes to learn what I want her to do. I asked her to leave. I pay a lot of money for the visit and I need to have a proper service. So I asked her to leave. She phoned the company, complained and Blessing ( the name of the woman who was in charge at the time ) pleaded with me to leave her. I agreed. I asked the girl to heat up my food in the microwave; she did. Because I have a pain in my legs it was only 6-7 hours later I saw plenty of water in the sink. It was nearly overflooded. And because I had a leaking tap before the sink was full of water. I think it was a malicious act. But whatever it is my sink is completely blocked and I may have to phone the plumbing company. The question is: why do I have to pay for somebody who does not have any training and to call a plumber after her visit?!!! Not fair. Also we do not have rotas any more, why?

A very good start with Bluebird Carers
From the first phonecall to ask about Bluebird Care Agency to the assessment visit with Kate Lancaster and meeting the new Carers ,everyone was understanding and helpful. They understood this is a big deal for us and tried to match the Carers with our needs. They have all been very patient and kind.

A Gift From Poland
A Gift From Poland!
Anete Palska came to my rescue six weeks ago. Exhausted as I was from a long stay in hospital, she was certainly a superb and sensitive companion when she saw that that was needed, while quietly getting on with such things that would make me more comfortable and medically secure. As I got stronger, she got more imaginative in the way she prepared my food, always presenting it in an attractive and appetising way (I had not been able to eat anything in hospital)
I could go on about her quiet and yet firm attitude and her insistence on strict adherence to her company’s regulations, but I will just end by saying that she makes me feel better and that she is a credit to bluebird care.
Thank you.
