I’d been looking for some time for a custom pair of jeans and wasn’t disappointed. With so many styles to choose from I was expertly guided through the options and within half an hour I walked out with a pair which were machined in house to my chosen length.

I bought some Moonstar high pumps. They had my size in stock. Service was very friendly, quick and easy. I will go back. Jeans and range of clothing looked on point.

Quality products. I still wear every pair that I have bought over the last 10 years, also partly to do with the free repairs. Customer service is also excellent. Quintin noticed I had a pair in for repair when dealing with another online order I had made and put my repaired jeans in the box with my delivery. Saved me a one hour round trip to collect them.

Jeans straddle the line between fashion on one end and working class heroes on the other. That's why I love them, they're really versatile not to mention a great way to add texture and patina to an outfit. In this case they offer Japanese denim. There are cheaper alternatives that also use Japanese denim and personally I'm not really aware of what definitively separates these BLA jeans from, say, Naked and Famous, or Unbranded, given the higher cost.

That being said, Blackhorse Lane Ateliers sell some good jeans. I have owned their Japanese selvedge denim jeans for about five months and no issues whatsoever so far. Always a treat to wear these and look forward to doing so whenever I have the time to - the weight (oz) of the denim is perfect for colder and even some degree of warmer conditions too. It protects against wind chill which is a lifesaver in inclement weather. However, I ultimately had to sell them on as I changed my mind about the loose fit, I'd recommend buying the slim fit unless you have a good reason to want a looser fit.

To shed more light on the higher retail price, they offer a lifetime repairs guarantee, this really does add some value and shouldn't be underestimated I say. But I'd imagine the repairs are simple patches if the jeans were to rip or wear through.
