I honestly don’t understand what’s going on with this company.
I opened my account, received my very first SEPA transfer of €500, and immediately lost access to my money. Card payments are declined, SEPA transfers don’t work, and I can’t use my own funds.
I’ve contacted support several times, but I keep getting the same copy-paste reply: “We’re working on your request. Please wait.” No explanation, no estimated timeframe, nothing.
I even asked if they could simply return the €500 to the sender, but they refused and told me to keep waiting.
The worst part is that nobody has asked me for any documents. I’m ready to provide whatever they need, but instead I’m just left waiting with no information and no access to my own money.
This has been an incredibly frustrating experience. I chose BlackCatCard because I expected a reliable banking service, but instead I found myself unable to use my account after the very first transfer.
I really hope they resolve this soon, because at the moment I simply cannot recommend this service.

Funds Eventually Released, But the Process Was Stressful
I had a very stressful experience with Blackcatcard. After receiving €1,000 into my account, I was unable to make transfers or access my funds. Every transfer attempt was cancelled, and customer support repeatedly told me that my case was “under review” without providing a clear timeframe.
At one point, I became concerned that I might not be able to recover my money because I had €995 available in my balance but could not withdraw it. Communication was slow, and the uncertainty was frustrating.
However, after several days of contacting support and following up regularly, Blackcatcard informed me that the issue had been resolved. I was then able to transfer my funds successfully, and the money arrived in my Vivid account.
Freezing money and dont allow you to cash out
I have about 301.67€ in it, and they shadow freeze my account and don't allow me to access my money.
I tried to do a card transfer to my prepaid Mastercard, and it was pending for hours. I opened the chat again to ask why, and they canceled it, saying they needed more time to look at it.
Then, I tried to do an IBAN SEPA transfer to my IBAN, and it was instantly rejected as soon as I clicked send. I tried a different IBAN, and the same thing happened: instant rejection.
Next, I tried to use their virtual card on Apple Pay, and after completing the 3DS on the app, the payment showed "rejected by the bank"
I opened the chat and asked why this is happening and why they are freezing my money and not allowing me to cash out. The support agent just gave excuses and kept saying that they are working on it - not even sure if it's a real human... it seems like an AI-based agent.
DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR MONEY

I started a blackcataccount, everything was smooth first week. As soon i got a withdrawl to my blackcat card for bigger sum not to big but 1400 euros, poof same second i cant pay with the card. I cant transfer, i cant do nothing with my money. Chatt with support for over 2 hours, now is has been 2 days and nothing, no solution. This is suposed to be a bank. Not a shady casino, but they doing the same thing. Saying We looking in to what happend, and still no soulution. I mean no bank in the world take that time. I ask can you sen me my money to another bank? No then i have to close my blackcat account and it take atleast 1 month they say then after that they can transfer the money. I have contact authorites. I have contact MFSA. Black cat is locking money acting like they dont know Whats going on, to benefit off you, im so dumb i opened an account here. And still no answer, ill Will be doing a video on all platforms since i have over 500.000 followers, to warn about blackcatcard. Stay away!
Very disappointing customer service
Very disappointing customer service. I requested to close my account and have my personal data deleted, but the company keeps refusing or delaying without giving a clear legal reason. The process has been frustrating, unprofessional, and stressful. Customers should not have to fight to exercise their basic rights. I expected transparency and proper support, but instead received poor communication and no real solution.
Unable to use or transfer funds
I have €26.49 in my Blackcatcard account, but I am currently unable to transfer, withdraw, or use my funds for payments.
I contacted support multiple times, but I only received generic responses saying the issue is “being reviewed” with no clear timeframe or solution.
It has already been several days, and the problem is still not resolved. Support also closed the chat without providing any actual help.
This situation is very frustrating, as I cannot access my own money.
If this is not resolved soon, I will escalate the issue to the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA).
This seriously affects trust in your service.
Works perfect

The problem is that it works for incoming transfers but completely blocks any outgoing ones and payments. Even if I try to transfer between my own accounts.
No reasonable answer from Support, be it compliance or technical issue, no timeframe for resolution.
I got message from Support that SEPA is fixed - everything works perfectly, so 5 stars insofar.

This has been an extremely frustrating and worrying experience.
For more than 1month I have not been able to access my own money due to a technical issue on their side. I transferred funds to this account because I needed to use them, yet they have been effectively locked without any solution, even before making payment in account they straight said that it’s everything working smoothly.
What makes this situation even worse is that the support function been blocked for me, because I was asking to find solution to my funds :) which means I cannot even contact support through the normal channel anymore.
For two days I have only received generic copy-paste responses telling me to wait, with absolutely no clear explanation or timeframe. This is not how a financial service provider should operate.
Access to your own funds is the most basic responsibility of any financial platform, and failing to provide that for days is extremely concerning.
If this situation is not resolved immediately, I will proceed with filing a formal complaint with the financial regulator and submitting a full case report regarding the handling of customer funds and support communication.
At this point I cannot recommend trusting this service with your money, because I believe they using clients money and delaying so they can cover up their daily expenses. Please do NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP, NEVER if you don’t wanna lose your money.
Blackcatcard is acting like a fraud.
Blackcatcard and Mastercard are not trustworthy. Between November and December last year, Mastercard Malta ran a campaign offering €20 cashback if 5 transactions of €20 were made, totaling €100 in purchases. I carried out these transactions but did not receive the €40 that was owed to me.
Blackcatcard took more than two months to reply, simply stating that I was not entitled to the campaign based on the transactions made. However, Blackcatcard does not realize that I made the same type of payments/purchases through MeDirect Malta.
In short, Blackcatcard kept my money and simply decided not to pay me, clearly demonstrating fraudulent behavior.
Bad experience in EVERYTHING
I don't even know where to start from... worst customer service ever, that needs you to repeat the same question multiple times, to multiple people, before getting some sort of help (usually useless anyway).
Worst app ever. Slow, unclear, unresponsive.
Worst website. It forces you to login again each time you reload the page. Login itself is a nightmare, forcing you to select country each and everytime.
Moreover, it took them nearly 6 months (and multiple messages) before giving me an IBAN code. Making the account impossible to use in all that time.
Their card can't be connected to google play, and many sites and stores refuse it.
DO NOT GET AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM. There are way better alternatives out there.
Unable to access money
I created my account in December, received my card, added money but turns out the payments don't work at all, not in store or online. In addition I'm unable to send out any money out in any way and the support in addition to being very slow just says that they'll look into it and will send you an email that never actually comes. The app is also a buggy mess.

Unable to use card it’s being declined for tap - online & chip n pin transactions. It won’t work & funds available.
I also cannot transfer funds even though transaction goes through successfully on app the bank thencancel transaction. My money is stuck & I can’t access it . I think they are in breach of European Central Bank regulation PSD2. When I contacted bank they say their individual team is looking into the issue . That was 2 weeks ago almost . This bank is TERRIBLE
