I honestly cannot thank Laura and the team enough for everything throughout this process; from guiding me in the ring design selection process, to the design work, to all the updates. Even with me going back and forth and being completely confused at times about what I wanted, she was incredibly patient. They really went above and beyond, the outcome - an absolutely stunning ring.

I recently had a bespoke Celtic engagement ring made by Blackacre, and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. From the very first consultation, Laura, Minnie, and the rest of the team made me feel completely at ease. What could have been a daunting process turned into something genuinely enjoyable and exciting.

They took the time to educate me on everything I needed to know - especially around diamonds. They helped me understand what actually matters when choosing a stone, what to look out for, and how to make informed decisions without being overwhelmed. Rather than taking a sales-driven approach, they guided me toward a ring that was truly perfect - unique, personal, and exactly what I had hoped for.

Throughout the process, they kept me fully informed and involved - from initial sketches to CAD designs, incorporating feedback, and even sending pictures and videos at various stages of the ring’s creation. The craftsmanship is absolutely stunning. They brought my vision to life with such care and attention to detail, and my fiancée is absolutely in love with the ring.

My experience with Blackacre has been truly excellent from beginning to finish.

From the moment I first contacted them, to initial meeting and discussions about design concepts, to being kept in the loop throughout production and, of course, to collecting the beautiful finished ring, everything was enjoyable and perfectly orchestrated.

My now fiancé, Fiona, is delighted with her ring and we will treasure it.

I was looked after by Henrietta, who was absolutely superb throughout. Before I was advised to seek out Blackacre by a close friend I was feeling quite overwhelmed and disillusioned by the engagement ring market - it was a daunting new world and I hadn't felt very inspired by many of the other rings I had come across.

With Blackacre however, I instantly felt I was in the right place, as Henrietta made every effort to equip me with everything I needed to know, helping me to decide on specific design features of the ring. She was also very diligent at keeping me up to date throughout. Henrietta and the team at Blackacre easily met the deadline we had set in order to complete the ring, so that it was ready for my planned proposal.

The ring itself is truly stunning. The attention to detail is immaculate and the craftsmanship feels unrivalled compared to other rings I have come across. The education I received with regard to choosing the diamond/gemstones was really appreciated and I have left the experience feeling empowered.

Sam was our contact throughout the entire process, guiding us through the different design stages with passion and patience, and sprinkling in educational titbits about gemstones and craftsmanship. We felt at ease right away and relaxed through out a process that could have been stressful, given that it was for such an important piece of jewellery! We were never under pressure to do anything we weren't ready to do, which allowed us the time to really think through our choices and ask all the questions we needed to. At the same time, Sam gave us honest advise about technical and design sensibilities that would produce the best quality ring possible.

We are so happy we with our bespoke ring, and we love the idea of passing it down as a truly unique family heirloom.

They took onboard the ideas that I already had in mind, and with their expert design skills and craftsmanship the team transformed it into reality and it was perfect. I approached Sam and Blackacre on the 1st of May, 2025, and within hours, had a lovely email back suggesting a consultation the very next day.

Following this, we were able to get an in person meeting arranged for the day following, where we were greeted by Sam and one of his team. This was perfect as we had a whole hour and a half dedicated to our ring, with no other customers in the office.

We were presented with an in depth overview of the ring designing process and an assortment of different centre stones of varying size and quality that Sam thought would suit our design.

Following this, we had a full quotation by the 6th of May, and by the 13th we had agreed a design and price.

Having paid a deposit, we received weekly progress photos of the 3D design, the wax models, the moulds, and the finishing, before the ring was completed on the 18th of June.

I proposed to my now fiancé yesterday and she totally loves the ring.

Overall, I could not be happier with how the process turned out. From what seems so daunting at first, Sam and the team make designing a custom ring so easy. I always felt listened to and valued as a customer, not just another number on a spreadsheet. Sam and the team were accommodating with our wishes and timeline too. To top it off, they provided us with a ring box, a gouache painting of the ring, and a lovely book which contained our GIA diamond certificate, care guide, and everything we needed to get insurance.

I hope the above overview convinces someone to take on Blackacre to design and create their engagement ring, as they are well and truly fantastic.

I found Blackacre’s website while looking for earrings. After emailing, I went up to their offices to try on a similar pair and discuss my requirements with Laura who was very professional, knowledgeable and so welcoming. Throughout the making process, I was sent photographs of the cad design and castings which made it an exciting journey. I am totally thrilled with the earrings - beautiful design and very high quality.

They have subsequently remodelled an heirloom ring into a beautifully designed bracelet and I was very impressed by how much time they took to find the stones to colour match another of my jewellery pieces. They’ve also resized and refurbished another inherited ring which now looks amazing.
