Bike Tow Leash Reviews 

With two active, energetic dogs living in a city, we've found that using the Bike Tow Leash and the extension has been the best method for exercising them. The BTL installed easily on our trike and has worked very well to give our dogs flexibility in their movement while continuing to keep them in a safe place on the side of our recumbent trike.

They get so excited when it's time to run. We can barely hold them still as we prepare to take them out. It was one of the best purchases we've made for our dogs and ourselves.

This is the only leash I trust to bike with my husky. He loves biking but will chase any wildlife , dogs, people he sees. With this leash, I'm able to fully control him and hardly feel any pulling. The bike doesn't move at all when he pulls. I'll never use anything else!

I am so glad I ordered direct from the manufacturer. Shortly after I placed the order, I received a phone call from them to make sure I was getting exactly what I needed, because I had ordered a quick release clamp which typically people use for the right side attachment. He kindly made the adjustment to the leash so that it would aim the correct direction when attached to the right side and we had a great chat about how to use it safely. I chose the right side because I wanted him to be on the sidewalk side when I am in my neighborhood and on the side of the trail instead of risking oncoming traffic. I was more than a little nervous using this with my 20lb mini poodle. The first time we used it seemed to go well, he kept up with the bike just fine and I was careful to make sure I wasn't pulling him however he did have a sore foot afterward for a few days (he is 100% better now). I blame myself, the leash did a great job, the little guy was just so excited to run that I think he pulled a muscle. I should have stopped and calmed him down instead of letting him pull so hard. Aside from that, I was very nervous at first that he might lunge under the bike wheel or pedals, but despite the leash not being super long the flexible arm did a great job of guiding him away from the danger zones and the continuous spring action guided him into the right position - he never came into contact with any part of the bike despite his vigorous lunging forward and some careful turns. It worked better than I expected. It will take some time for both of us to get used to this and I intend to remain super vigilant about maintaining moderately slow speeds and careful slow turns to avoid dragging him around by accident. With time I am hopeful it becomes a little less stressful but that is entirely my issue, not the product. The leash itself is everything it promised and I'm thankful to have it.

Bird (my standard poodle) and I are LOVING our new leash. She took to it right away and we’ve used it every day sense it’s arrival! Bike Tow Leash is a fantastic product that keeps both of us safe as we happily move along.

This is the greatest product. I bought two of them to mount on my trike for 2 XL dogs. We go out daily for rides and this is the best way to burn some energy on active dogs.
Highly recommend for anyone investigating options for dogs on bikes.

Great leash for bigger dogs; just ordered this for my niece’s lab after having mine for 6 years. Mine is still in great shape, keeps my dog safely away from my bike...highly recommend!

The Bike Tow Leash was exactly what I needed for my high energy dog. I couldn't get to a dog park often enough to let him run and play. I saw someone using the Leash and quickly ordered one. It's been the answer for a much happier household now that we take turns giving him a little run. He's also much happier as well.

We have seen great use from our BTL but knowing that it needed a separate component for it to fit on my bike, on the right side, was frustrating to find out. Once fitted, it's been a gem! My older huskies were "meh" about having to go for a bike ride. My roommates boxer mix, who walks like a beagle (never a straight path) did AMAZING with a little head collar guidance with some bunny distraction. We hit 10.2 mph in no time! Now I know hiw to really work him before we train! Thank you!
But, maybe make a right side mounted rig too?

I have an unusual bike- it is a Cruzbike Softrider.
I reached out the the inventor-owner, Michael Leon with questions related to my particular bike. He responded very quickly, and I semnt photos with him. He helped me with choosing the product that would work for my bike.
He also helped me iron out a problem in ordering that I created myself as I forgot to order an appropriate dog collar when I originally ordered the BTL. He was able to send them out on the same shipment, saving me an extra shipping charge ( of my own making).
The product is as advertised, easy to use. My standard poodle- Maddie and I have already been out riding. Nice product. Good company. Excellent

I am so pleased with the product as well as the customer service. Zero worries about a dog pulling me down, and I bike various dogs throughout the week. Such a great way to change up exercise in the summer months. The dogs appreciate it so much.

I can bike with both my huskys fairly easily with this. I still feel like they get a little close the front wheel - but miles away compared to other options on the market.

Unfortunately my dog does not like it. Whenever I hook her up, she backs out of her harness and runs off.

Purchased abot 5? years ago.
My pooch and I enjoyed many hours of riding together using the bike tow lead .
One day we were riding and got distracted by a Great Dane and lost focus. I crashed and broke my ankle. Pooch was fine.
My family has banned me from further use of the lead.😪

My dog and I enjoyed the bike tow leash for several years. Now that my dog, Sadie is 12 she has retired from running alongside the bike. This is a great product and I would recommend it to any dog lover. It’s a much safer choice than riding while holding a leash.
