I was on a waitlist for a Renaissance…

I was on a waitlist for a Renaissance Fair. 7 of us coming from out of town. They sent an e-mail at 4:30 PM. It went to my Promotions tab. Now my waitlist request went to my Primary Tab. The 3 solicitation e-mails went to my Primary Tab. But the Waitlist went to promotions. I don't understand. I had 12 hours to respond but I don't look at promotions daily-- honestly I get 100 a day. My Primary tab got the "Cancellation" e-mail because I had not responded. Ridiculous.

They never told me I would only have 12 hours to respond. When I signed up they told me they would just charge my card and it was non-refundable. Great! There was a vague statement about watch your e-mail because we might need a timely response.

If I could give a negative 5 stars....

If I could give a negative 5 stars I would. There's absolutely no reliable access to customer service. Emails go unanswered, voicemails are not responded to. 2 days later, their email response is completely useless. Worst ticket buying/customer service experience I've ever had.

Poorly Created and Performing Site

Company wants your full credit card info up front including CVC security (bad paractice). Finally get an email with less than 24 hours to the event and it denies my CC. Called my credit card and they knew nothing about it. So flaw in Big Tickets system. UPDATE: I just found out that this site automatically gives the company a 3.5 starting out? I was wondering how the two reviews here both gave this company a 1 star and it has a 2.9 overall rating. Trust pilot...that is counter to building TRUST!

Terrible website. Worse customer service

I tried using this site to buy tickets for an upcoming event and had difficulty from the very beginning. I did not have a phone number from the country they wanted me to have a phone number in, so I reached out, wanting to know if there was another way to verify my identity (other than by email, which I had already done).

Once people in the time zone where big tickets wanted me to have a phone number woke up, I tried again. I tried logging in to the account that I had just created a few hours prior but could not. I tried resetting my password, but it wouldn't send me the email to allow me to do so. So I opened a new account with a new email address. Everything's good and verified, only now it keeps telling me there's a problem with my credit card. I try again. Same thing. I wonder if I have the billing address wrong and enter my foreign address for my US card (my bank understands that people may live abroad and keeping in mind that the website allows you to select your country). No. I finally try with my foreign card. No. I give up and have someone else try. No. I reach out again to big tickets for help.

Big tickets gets back to me treating me like I'm either a moron or a criminal. They mansplain their company to me (they are a *US* company selling tickets to *US* events) and say they don't accept foreign info due to fraud and only accept US credit cards, etc. Sorry, but not everyone who lives in another country is a criminal. Where would you have gotten that xenophobic notion? Some people really want to travel to the US and *gasp* buy tickets to events. Plus the explanation was baloney since I had entered my US information into the website and it still had a problem.

Look, this isn't my first rodeo. I've been living abroad for a decade. I know a lot of US websites block foreign users and foreign websites block US users. But I've never had a website be so broken as to allow me to create an account but not access it and allow me to enter a foreign address but not use it while customer service talks down to me and lies about their website's use.

You think all foreigners are criminals? Block the website from foreign ip addresses and don't allow users to select the country of their billing address. Don't have the website gaslight users and customer service be belittling, lying jerkfaces.

edit: I cannot believe "trust"pilot gives all companies 3.5 automatically. That's not neutral or advocating against bias. That's favoring crappy companies like bstickets.com, artificially and arbitrarily giving them more than customers have said they were worth. I'd be pissed if I owned a company with a customer who had given me a 5 star review and trustpilot felt the need to downgrade me to be fair to other crappy companies.
