In 1998 Bicton Travel, a family-owned West Australian owned and operated travel agency, began sharing its passion and expertise in luxury travel. Founded by Carole Smethurst and her son Phil Smethurst, what started with a team of two has steadily grown to become Australia’s most awarded travel agency. Not a claim we take lightly. No other agency can claim the number of professional awards that Bicton Travel has won. Today, we remain a WA-based Family run company operating from our offices in Bicton, Western Australia. We are proud members of Independent Travel Group, Cruiseco, Virtuoso, CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association) and are committed to ongoing AFTA (Australian Federation of Travel Agents) ATAS accreditation. Booking with an ATAS accredited agent means you’re in safe hands and can travel with confidence. Further details about ATAS accreditation and what this mean can be found HERE In 2016 Carole Smethurst was inducted into the CLIA Cruise Hall of Fame for her service to the cruise industry. The CLIA Hall of Fame Award is a formal recognition to honour an individual whose efforts and accomplishments represent a significant contribution to or noteworthy achievement that has positively impacted the development of the cruise industry.

We have used Bicton Travel for many of…

We have used Bicton Travel for many of our overseas trips, most of them organised over the phone and emails.
They are a wonderful organisation and the consultants are very knowledgeable and helpful. The advice given is much appreciated.

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service. One thing I will mention though. When Jasmine tried to email us our account, she had written down our email incorrectly. She kept getting bounce backs. Instead of calling us, she left it. I phoned in the afternoon wondering why I hadn’t received anything. Problem fixed. Just feel initiative could have been used instead of repeated bounce backs.

Bicton Travel is the best

Can't fault the service I receive from Bicton Travel. Always, friendly, efficient and trustworthy. Nothing is too much trouble. Have booked through them for years and will continue to do so.

Have travelled on many adventures over…

Have travelled on many adventures over the years and Bicton Travel have been marvellous. Always feel confident that I have the best possible arrangements and deals available through them. Wouldn't think of booking through any other agency.

Matt provides good service to us and always tries to help. Good at times to get extra on-board spending money due to Bictons volumes.

Easy as

Easy as, I walked in, no appointment, was directed to a consultant, there was no pressuresome sales pitch, found what suited us, booked there and then, no problems, I’ll be back.
