I was initially a bit hesitant about booking a trip from the UK through a travel agent in Hanoi, Vietnam, but Best Price Travel came highly recommended by a friend who did a similar trip last year. I decided to go for the “Deep Insight Soft Adventure” tour, which was an 18-day journey.
From the very beginning, I communicated with Rosie Nhung Nguyen, and I have to say, she was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. She replied to my emails within the hour, even outside of office hours. I made some changes to the standard itinerary, adding a few extra activities, and Rosie was more than happy to accommodate all my requests. I also celebrated my 30th wedding anniversary during the trip, and Rosie went the extra mile by arranging a room upgrade and a bottle of wine. It’s clear that this company is flexible and truly cares about making your experience special.
The accommodations were all top-notch, handpicked by Rosie. I had no complaints about any of the hotels or the food. This was my first time on an organised tour, and it was just me and my wife. We only had to show up at the hotel reception at the agreed-upon time, and the tour guide took care of everything else — from tickets to meals. At the end of each activity, the guide would call a taxi to pick us up, and we’d be handed ice-cold water and refreshing face towels. The tour guides spoke excellent English and shared tons of interesting information about Vietnam’s history and culture.
Over the 18 days, we traveled like a relay baton being passed between guides and drivers. We started in the north and made our way to the south, covering over 1,100 miles. Along the way, we had six different guides, six different taxis, one overnight train ride, a cruise, and two internal flights. Thanks to Rosie’s incredible attention to detail and planning, everything went like clockwork. We never missed a connection or an activity — every “runner” was exactly where they needed to be at the right time. I’m still amazed at how flawlessly everything came together.
Having a local travel agent was a huge plus. With no time zone difference, I knew that if there was any issue (which there wasn’t), Rosie would be available to help immediately — a far cry from dealing with the usual 6-hour time difference when booking through agents overseas.
I highly recommend the 18-day tour, as it offers a deep dive into the culture and people of Vietnam. I just wish Rosie could arrange tours in other countries for me too!

Very pleasant experience. The booking process and the advise given (Cindy Pham) were excellent, accurate and very efficient. The tours booked (day tours as well as Halong cruise) have been a great expierence and did meet all expectations. Very difficult to deal with, initially they were great until they got money, called numerous times to get tickets issued were continually told they would be issued in next 48 hours, also tried to call and speak to James (agent) but kept getting run around. They also have their business address in Wellington NSW but having driven past there it doesn't exist. We have ended up placing a dispute and will pay the little extra to book directly with Qantas. Stay well clear of these guys.

I was looking at booking a 3 day 2 night cruise to Ha Long and Lan Ha Bay and needed a little help navigating the best boat/cabin/itinerary to suit our needs. We booked a boat tour (3D2N) with Peony Cruise incl. transfer from Hanoi/ to Ninh Binh with bestpricetravel and also a sightseeing flight over Ha Long Bay by seaplane, which took place before the boat tour. We recently returned from a wonderful 7 day tour of Northern Vietnam professionally arranged by Janet Tran, who not only recommended this particular tour but also personally stayed in touch with us throughout the tour to make sure everything was as expected.
Our tour itself was hosted by Tom (Tung) who did a tremendous job of explaining the highlights and making sure we were well fed!
Talking about highlights, it's hard to beat Ha Long Bay, but Ninh Binh comes close.

Everything was absolutely amazing ~ Haley in BestPrice Travel looked after our booking & she was excellent ~ brilliant communication & updates. The cruise itself is fabulous, food on board is superb & staff are extremely attentive. Go for the Executive Suite, if you can.

Absolutely thrilled with the experience we had booking through Mỹ Uyên at BestPrice Travel. We reached out pretty last-minute from Australia looking to book a 2-day, 1-night cruise in Ha Long Bay, and despite the time difference and short notice, she came through brilliantly. Her communication was clear, prompt (even with the timezone lag), and incredibly helpful. She made what could’ve been a stressful last-minute scramble feel easy and genuinely enjoyable. You could tell she really cared about getting us the right experience – not just making a sale.

Now the cruise – absolutely fabulous. The boat itself is stunning and everything felt five-star: the room was spacious and beautifully designed with a private balcony, the food was fresh and delicious, and the service onboard was impeccable. The staff were attentive without being over the top, and the whole itinerary was well-paced with a nice mix of relaxation and activities.

Only thing I’d flag – if you’re not into crowds or heavy tourist spots, maybe skip the Sung Sot Cave excursion. It’s beautiful but very busy. Everything else felt much more peaceful and well-curated.

Unforgettable Ha Long Bay Experience

My partner and I recently enjoyed an incredible cruise through Ha Long Bay, and it exceeded all expectations. The entire experience was seamless, from booking to disembarkation. We arranged the trip through My Uyen at BestPrice Travel, who was fantastic to deal with—responsive, professional, and incredibly helpful. She made the whole process easy and stress-free.

Once on board, the service was nothing short of outstanding. Bobby, who looked after us during the cruise, was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. He really made the experience feel special.

The scenery itself was iconic—breathtaking limestone cliffs, calm emerald waters, and peaceful bays. Everything on the cruise was run like clockwork, yet still felt relaxed and effortless. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned, the food was delicious, and the overall vibe was calm and welcoming.

If you’re considering a trip to Ha Long Bay, we can’t recommend this cruise highly enough. It was truly a highlight of our trip to Vietnam.
