Horrible service
A ticket was cancelled due to medical issues. They promised me a refund in May 2018. It is now mid October 2018 and after numerous emails, phone calls and empty promises I still don’t have my refund. When I call, they tell me they will email me, I state they always say this and I never receive any emails. I get yelled at and stated “how can you predict we won’t send you an email” when I reply I have been told this exact line for months by many staff I again get abused. Never booking with them again. Horribly rude staff! I still don’t have my refund.

Absolute Crooks
Absolute crooks. I wish I had read these reviews before booking with them. Call centre in Philippines, make you wait for hours on phone and hang up. No call back. When finally connected, as usual the Filipinos are rude and aggressive and ofcourse with very limited English skills. Charge you for seats but no seats assigned even though Thai Airways lets you select seats for free as part of the fare. Dont fall for the $100 cheaper fare, you will eventually be ripped off one way or another. Just book directly on Thai Airways and get the service and respect you deserve as a paying customer.

They changed my flights when they couldn't get the airfare price they advertised online. Thanks to Bestjet I'm now stuck in Santiago with a 12 hour transit. When I requested a refund they told me it'll take 12 weeks.

Do not use them - they are a con. I booked three tickets to Canada and they deducted money from my credit card. They now say that the airline hadn't updated fares and that the price is now $310 more per person if i want to book. As if Bestjet - I'd rather swim there than book through you ever again.

DIdnt tell me I needed a visa for the flight they sold me. Denied Boarding.
I bought a return ticket Syd-Paris from this company flying Air Vietnam. The return leg had a domestic flight Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh, which requires a visa as it involves leaving the international airport & entering the domestic airport. I had no idea about this & when I bought the ticket this was not mentioned. A couple of days prior to departure they sent me a message saying I would need a visa if I left the airport at Hanoi, but didn't explain this would be a necessary part of the trip due to the domestic flight component. When I asked them for clarification, they sent me the same email verbatim with no attempt to clarify.
I was unable to board in Paris for my return trip due to not having the visa I didn't know I needed, so ended up having to buy myself a new ticket. Thank you Bestjet for the delay, expense and stress of that episode.
Bestjet will take no responsibility at all for this- claiming it's on me to make sure I have the correct visa. I don't know how one is supposed to know a visa is required based on the information supplied.
How can a company sell you a product with a special requirement they don't tell you about, when that requirement makes the product unusable?

I am a student, so my first priority when buying a plane ticket is to find a cheap ticket. I have read reviews of people, at first I felt a little anxious to buy tickets here, but read carefully, I see most of the reviews is about a bad customer service, but in terms of ticket quality, the 5 -star review also said already. Moreover, 1-star reviews have no case of "can not check-in". The reviewers say the refund or change date fee is expensive, but before confirming, they also have a box with the content "I have read and agree to the following (other types of fees and other regulations ), I can clearly see that they have fully stated all about the refund or change date fee, they also say there is a charge for each different situation with particular amount.
I decided to buy a plane ticket here, and check every detail of my information for accuracy to avoid contact with them. After confirming the payment, I received the tax invoice from them immediately. But since I'm a student, I got a 40kg allowance baggage. I emailed Vietnam Airline (VNA) how it can be 40kg or it automatically, VNA told me to buy my ticket under student fare, and all travel agencies can do if I provide them my student card. But when I asked Bestjet, (they answered my email pretty quickly, in about 30-60 minutes), they said they were totally unaware of the problem, they said they could note me as a student, but about fare is subject to VNA. I asked them to wait for me to ask VNA how to fix this issue, they put my reservation on hold and asked me to tell them as soon as possible so they could action on my booking to give me that fare. However, VNA didn't assist me how to fix this issue, therefore I asked Bestjet to verify with VNA how to fix it. Because VNA only work to 5pm or they didn't reply me, I don't know, but me and Bestjet kept asking and assisting this issue till nearly 7pm. The next business day, Bestjet emailed me with the good new that they talked with VNA already and they could fix my ticket under student fare with 40kg baggage allowance. Also, they sent me my E-Ticket straight away with all correct informations. Idk how others feel, but I'm thankful and appreciate Bestjet team, hence it's a pleasure being their return customer. Booked a ticket for my partner, made an honest mistake with the date, contacted them within 4hours. There was no way we could make the flight as it wasn't even 24 hours later. We contacted them asap. But a general response only. And silence eticket arrived 6 hours after the flight had left.

I am about to put a complaint regarding regarding return of the money for cancelled tickets. This is my second encounter with Bestjet company when I purchase the and had to cancel the tickets. Every time after 12 weeks (required by rules) company does not refund the money and I have to call and call again to chase the money, almost force company to refund it. Considering that Bestjet deducts VERY big commissions from ticket-holders (about 150. AUD) this situation is NOT acceptable!!! Bestjet is liable in the face of law to refund the money to a customer because we pay for tickets directly to Bestjet and not the airline, so after 12 weeks it is the Bestjet's responsibility to refund the money.
DO NOT USE this company if you have ANY doubts you might have to refund/change your tickets.

I recently flew from Australia to UK with a flight I booked with bestjet. My ticket clearly only said Economy on the ticket they emailed me so looking at the airlines baggage allowance I packed my bags accordingly. When I arrived at check in, the airline informed me it was a Saver ticket and I had 1 too many bags. I was forced to pay a fee to bring the extra bag. I emailed bestjet on arriving with no reply, after 2.5 weeks I emailed them again, where they specified that my invoice said 1 bag, although no where on that did it say a weight allowance or anything other than a ticket type. It took another 2 messages over 2 weeks before they replied again with no assistance. They do not care about customer care or support. Did not receive a reply in less than 2 weeks, would be awful if this had been an urgent matter. If it is too late and you have already booked, please look at your invoice not ticket (that would make too much sense) for possible baggage allowance, but beware they do not specify kgs.
AVOID at all costs. Not worth saving the extra few dollars!!!
Malicious intentions with tiring rebooking/cancellations

I love skyscanner and cannot think about booking an Air ticket or a hotel without searching on the website. But with the enormous growth that the website has seen, it has failed to a keep a check on the basics of what the websites listing their fares are offering. Websites like Bestjet.com who have the most competitive fares will get more clicks from your page and thus destroy your reputation because they not only take away business from a legit deserving booking partner just by flashing low airfares but also then treat customers with appalling airfare rules and booking hurdles.
The website in question is one of the very few (or the only one) which will not give an online smart system to rebook your tickets or cancel them. They prefer you fill out forms requesting the same with new dates and flight numbers and they will get back to you with a 'quote'. If somehow you manage to get through their 1980's process of going back and forth with emails or forms with every date you want them to give 'quote' for, they will come up with a fare difference charge that is 2 times what their website actively suggests ( the difference between current search on 'THEIR OWN' website and the fare you initially booked at. On being enquired about the discrepancy you will be told that they will have to charge you a full fare(which we cannot see in their website) because its a re-booking along with a change fee ($100) and an admin fee($140). This is a scam. Its just preying on customers in distress and redirecting them to 'their own' rules and policies later.
I strongly suggest not to fall for their low fares and avoid them even if you have to pay 5 percent extra to another provider who will not try to scam you when you are in a problem.
NOTE: I just realised there are two websites with similar names.
Bestjet.com is different from bestjet.com.au. You can find hundreds of similar experiences by people through a simple google search on productreview.com or other consumer experience blogs(tripadvisor) for BESTJET.COM
Bad service
Bad service, long refund process and inflexible company policy. It costs me cancelling the all ticket from Syd to LA return and want to charge me a new ticket for over $1000 with forcing me to take their inflexible policy and mislead me wrong wrong airlines information and taking the same airlines eventhough I deny to fly with the airline company. Bestjet please train your customer service to talk politely to the customer and review your policy to more customer needs.

I specifically asked what I need to do to add an infant ticket to my booking as I was expecting my daughter to be born before the flight. I was given promised it would not be a problem.
When it came to booking the ticket we ran into massive problems that cost us money time and nerves we still do not know if we can even take her on the flight eg. we might have to stay home and miss my sisters wedding...I am not even lying...
Worst is they were super unprofessional, rude and arrogant to deal with..literally saying to be mam that is not our problem and refusing to compensate us in anyway for not adhering to what they promised to deliver.

The online booking went smoothly enough but just days after booking, we had to cancel due to a terminal illness diagnosis in the family. We were told it would cost us $340 each to cancel ($1800 was spent for both fares so this is over 30% of the original cost). We still cancelled. We have now been waiting 14.5 weeks and still not refund. I cannot get anywhere with them by email or phone. The “assistant” says that all they can do is email the “refund” department and request urgent attention (have asked for this to be done twice but still no result). They tell me no-one can phone the refund department -not even them! Give me a break! Is this the way to operate? DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. They are just money grabbing without any consideration for customer service.
