Luke is focused and positive instructor…
Luke is focused and positive instructor I took his course after transitioning from the guitar and found it great course to get up and running on the bass his course is always moving forward and never boring the great part is you can do it at your own pace, you can move forward with the lessons or go back no pressure and the cost is less then all the books I bought and never completely used , plus you get many backing tracks to use , you will defently be a better bass player then when you started
Deceitful selling methods
The course materials are good, but the selling methods are really the worst. He pretends a course is 299$, but this is with extras that nobody takes. He offers a cheaper version without the extras, that is almost 50% cheaper.
This means that when he pretends to give a 50% discount during a certain time period, it is simple the same price as before. And you DON'T get the free "extras"!
Then when you try to buy, there are three buttons all saying "add second course now" in different ways and a tiny one in the corner saying "proceed without additional course".
So you end up getting another course for the same price you never wanted.
His support team helps you undo it, but it's still unnecessary hassle and you feel deceived.
Perfect beginner bass course
I've done a few beginner bass courses, but this one is hands down by far the best in every aspect. It will get you playing real bass lines to real songs in no time. So the focus is on the fun part, but without neglecting theory, you will learn just enough to understand why something does or does not sound good. The backing tracks provided are amazing. Plus the course is really affordable, the value is outstanding given what you get for your money.
This is an excellent Bass Beginner…
This is an excellent Bass Beginner Course.
Luke is an outstanding tutor and understands the beginner journey. The tutorial videos are clear and consise.Every day of 21 days is a stepping stone to playing success and above all growing in confidence.
My playing has improved beyond recognition. I now know how to grow forward from a firm foundation of knowledge and skill.
What a bargain! Highly recommended AAAAA
Great Bass learning program
Before I started Luke's course I had just started going back through my lesson books I had back in my Mid 20's. I am going on 68 and retired and wanted to get back to playing. The books were ok but when I found Luke's course it sounded like it would keep me focused. I thoroughly enjoy the way Luke presents the lessons and the materials that go with it. It makes each lesson fun and not wanting to stop. Anyone wanting to learn to play Bass, this is it
Worth every penny
Worth every penny! If you are a beginner, or novice bass player, you will most definitely benefit from the program. The instructions and demonstrations, exercises and tips worked perfect for me...
If you are beginner or intermediate, you absolutely need this course
I keep seeing all these instrument courses online that promise to make you sound like Geddy Lee or Jimmy Page in two weeks. Let me assure you—there are no shortcuts.
I stumbled upon this course, and it looked pretty solid and reasonably priced, so I figured I’d check it out. I’ve been playing bass for 40+ years, and before you ask why I’d take a beginner course, here’s something important—just like in martial arts, you are forever learning. There is absolutely nothing you are above doing.
So, I went into this with an open mind. Did I learn anything? A few things, yes—but here’s the biggie: the material in this course covers what would otherwise take you decades to figure out on your own. I can’t stress enough how many gems of knowledge and nuances are packed in here.
Here’s the thing—you can download Green Day tabs (or whatever) for decades and never actually improve your playing. Just learning songs is a dead end. If that makes you happy, by all means, keep at it. But if you want to play with other musicians, you need real musical knowledge like this.
And here’s the biggest takeaway—being able to walk into a room and jam with musicians on songs you don’t know (or have never even heard before) is priceless. This kind of knowledge makes you a valuable player in any genre.
If you want to write and perform original music, you need to know some theory, and this course packs that in too.
For beginners, I highly recommend going through all the exercises. Will you be playing like Flea in three weeks? No. But you’ll build a foundation that many players—even those who have played for years—still lack.

I can highly recommend this
I can highly recommend this! This is so helpful and fun. The best course on demand I‘ve seen so far!
Great bass lessons
The course gave me more than it has promised. The material was easy for me to understand ad do in practice. I feel that if somebody is very beginner (what I was not) it is also something that I'd recommend.
21 day beginner challenge
Luke makes the experience of picking up the bass fun, easy and comfortable. His focus on avoiding injury and making sure you have fun while practicing skills keeps you practicing without getting tired or bored. I love his indomitable cheeriness and his clear explanation of the whys and hows. I keep going back over the lessons to pick up further nuance and I keep finding more info as I make progress. Thanks, Luke!
Started off knowing nothing
Started off knowing nothing, I am a 77 year old senior, bought a Hofner bass, joined the challenge, love the slower pace of learning, stuck on muting, went back over that a few time, mastered it somewhat, enjoyed the complete course journey, I am now ready for the Bassist's Hall of Fame.
You can do and it’s Worth your time and money
At 62 I’ve gone to a few base courses. I’ve lost some dexterity in my mainly left hand, which is my fretting hand. This course is really helped me gain some of that back. I lost it due to high-dose chemotherapy the number of years ago, and continue chemotherapy, but there’s nothing like getting that feeling back. I highly highly recommend the 21 day challenge.
Thoroughly recommend for rapid progress in 3-weeks.
Having read the other reviews on this site, I'm not sure how much I can add. This course is extremely well structured, easy to use and great value for money.
It assumes little (although any music or guitar knowledge you have is a benefit) and teaches the basics from the ground up.
The website, videos and accompanying material are easy to navigate, download (if you desire) and use.
I'd really recommend this to beginner bassist who want to make rapid progress in 3-weeks.
Love the course
Love the course. Simple but efective. Thank you Luke for making me try to play again.
This course is fantastic
This course is fantastic. I couldn't believe that I was playing songs - songs I knew - after the first lesson. The content provides a really strong foundation, and by the end I can actually contribute a competent bass line to any song. And Luke's teaching style keeps things fun and interesting. I can't believe how much I got out of just 21 days!
Become a bassist 21 day challenge
Luke is a wonderful teacher. He explains things in a way that you can understand without having to know anything about formal musical theory.
The practice challenges are just the right amount of musical information and hands on practice that keeps you interested and having fun.
For less than the price of a set of strings...
For less than the price of a new set of strings "Become a Bassist" has taken me from being lost, to jamming with their 21 day challenge. I feel this course is a "MUST"for any new bassist!
It taught me not only the how's, but the why's, and how to use what I've learned. I can't forget to mention that this course is a total blast!!!
Beginning or returning bassist this course is a must.
5 Stars I had decided to start playing bass after about 30 years of not playing. One of the reasons I started agin was when I started see Luke Becomeing A Bassist course on my FB feed. I really liked what I saw.
Why I decided.
First it was the way Luke was presenting the material.
Second was the Price.
When I started it was like being in a room one on one with an instructor not just watching a perfect studio video with no imperfections. When Luke presents the lessons if he momentarily miss speaks something he just corrects himself and moves on so it's not like watching a perfect actor. You can see and feel his passion and desire to make you Become a better bassist. The way Luke encourages you to learn and use proper Techniques is awesome. Luke presented all the material in a simple way you can understand and the short inter active play along parts are amazing.
It actually took me more then 21 days by my owne doing because I enjoyed some lessons so much I would repeat them for a couple of days.
I learned more from Luks course then I ever did when I was ayoung kid back in the 70s taking lessons.
In sort if you are a new beginner or a returning Bassist Luks course is the one to start with you will not regret it
Very efficient methode and fantastic teacher
Luke is a very efficient teacher. Compared to other experiences on internet, this is to my opinion, the best method to learn Bass. Have learned many useful tricks from Luke during the 21 days challenge. To advise to anyone who wants to begin with this instrument, method is based on clear explanations, fun, you can play after a few days a bass line and improvise on a track. Will certainly go further with Luke's courses.
