Bow broke within 48hrs

Bow broke within 48hrs. Contact support say they will send a shop near me the parts I need. Sounds good untill you get there and the shop says it's like $200 for what needs to be done. EVERY person in the shop told me it's just bad business on yalls (BEARS) end since the bow was so new it's no reason they didn't just send me another one. So just having to pay to get it fixed bc its time to hunt. No one has time to take 2 plus days for a repose and get the runaround, and by the time the parts get here after the shop talks to yall would be 2 more weeks without a bow
WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T GO WITH BEAR. The bows and services are TERRIBLE

Fred bear has poor quality bows and i…

Fred bear has poor quality bows and i would not recommend their bows to anyone.

The reason for this is i bought a Custom Codiac T/D bow 5-6 years ago, used it less than 10 times, and when i sold it yesterday i got a message back from the buyer after he had inspected the bow closer, he found that there was a crack in the stringer arm exactly where the locking bolt is, a clear manufactering flaw.

When paying 700$ for a bow one would expect it to survive a lifetime of usage, but this bow didnt survive 5 years being stored away in my cabin not being used.

Also they refused to make things right and give me a new part, saying the waranty is no longer valid on the bow, even though the crack is a clear manufactering flaw on their part.

So yeah, if you are reading this and are concidering a recurve bow, i would find someone else, someone that cares about theie products and reputation.

Spoiled the Legend of Fred Bear for this Michigan family

Purchased a new Royale RTH compound bow from an online retailer. This bow is a smaller, lightweight bow, it's not labeled as a youth bow by the retailer or the maker. After twelve days of target practice the string came off the cams.
Since it was less than twelve days before bow season,
we contacted a local outfitter who wanted $120 to restring the bow. Then we contacted the retailer who doesn't stand behind the products they sell, told us to contact the manufacturer. We did contact Bear Archery about the warranty. They offered to restring the bow after following their specific instructions for returning it to them, or else we could have the local outfitter order a string from them. Nothing was said about shipping, repair or parts covered under warranty.
We are from Michigan. Fred Bear is a true legend, especially in this state. His museum started in Michigan and was here for many years until he moved it to Florida a couple of years before he died.
We thought the products made and sold by Bear Archery, using the Fred Bear name, would be of legendary quality and also under warranty.
I'm very sad and disappointed that the company that uses the Fred Bear name and legend for manufacturing hunting gear doesn't stand behind the quality of the product nor care about the safety or satisfaction of the customers.
