Product discontinued and delays getting a refund
I had an overall disappointing experience with Baby Kingdom. We wanted to use a gift card we received from our family, but it didn't work on their website, and the link to the terms and conditions was broken. We contacted them by phone and were given another one. I placed an order on 30 April for two sleeping bags, using the gift card plus my own funds. They were advertised as in stock on their website. On 14 May, I received a shipment notification: only one could be shipped; the other had been discontinued. I requested a refund to my credit card because I didn't intend to shop at Baby Kingdom again. A customer service officer named Rose initially refunded the wrong product to the gift card, the one that had been shipped. I asked for the right product to be refunded to the credit card, not the gift card. She wrote on 18 May, "Yes, it should go back on your credit card." I waited; still nothing. On 1 June, I was still waiting for a refund for goods that were never delivered. This is unacceptable. I will take further action. Don't order anything from this business.
***Update - on 5 June, I confirm I finally received a refund on my credit card, as well as a refund on the original gift card, which I used to buy another sleeping bag from them, delivered today with no issues. The day after I posted this review, I finally got the refund... It's a shame we have to apply pressure to get them to comply with basic obligations to their customers. I believe their customer service officers do mean well; however, they are not supported by management and are let down by a terrible website that can't even provide accurate stock levels... Do yourself a favour and purchase what you need from another business.
