Ouch. Again, I see that if I had read the TrustPilot reviews first, I wouldn't have used you. My error. We have been trying to get hold of someone from accounts (or anyone) about being overcharged... See more

I am a ready to be advertiser at Awin and after I saw a lot of good reviews about Awin online we decided to start an affiliate program at Awin.
But I never got support from Awin and I initially hoped to apply for affiliate programs in multiple countries. At the beginning, a customer service told me that our website can apply in these countries, and he asked me to fill in the application forms for these countries. While I was scrutinizing Awin's reviews online in these countries, a guy called the Director of Global Business Development said our site needed to be optimized for affiliate networks. When I told him that our site already exists for these services, he has no news. No matter how many emails I send. They either don't reply or take a long time to reply.
I have absolutely no idea what to do now.

A warning to Advertisers.
I am involved in two separate matters relating to spam emails sent to me by Awin and their affiliates on behalf of Awin’s Advertisers.
You should be aware that under UK and EU law the Advertiser is responsible for spam sent on their behalf, this is regardless of what agreements the Advertiser may believe they have in place with Awin to protect them. The in eyes of the ICO and the UK legal system, the Advertiser instigated the sending of those spam emails. Awin will not support you. Awin will eventually admit that the their email advertising is unsolicited and there never was any opt-in. Awin will then fall back on the UK law and tell the Advertiser that the spam was sent on behalf of the Advertiser at the Advertisers request. The Advertiser is then left with responsible for the fines issued by the ICO, the costs and damages issued against the Advertiser, resulting from a legal claim from an angry data subject, wanting to know who is processing his data so he can stop the barrage of spam they are receiving form Awin and Awin’s affiliates. The Advertiser will also need to deal with their own legal costs, lost time in dealing with the matter which and the damage to the Advertisers reputation. The Court can and frequently orders that the Advertiser traces the sender of the spam email and provide those details to the victim, even if Awin claim not to know the true identity of their own affiliate, the job becomes yours and it can be lengthily and very costly.
Awin do know the true identity of their Affiliates because they pay them for their services, Awin always refuse to break their confidentiality agreement with their Affiliates and will lie and fabricate names and addresses in order to protect their partners.
Update August 2022, I have responded to Awin’s marketing team and as yet they have failed to reply.

The worst of the worst. Scammers, no feedback, whatsoever. Been an Affiliate, tried it out, absolutely a NIGHTMARE.
Asides, seen tons of fake 5 star reviews on here. Horrible way of trying to get a good brand exposure and awareness.
PS. This is not our real account as well, but I am a real affiliate within AWIN (not active though ;-)!)

We’ve worked with Awin for the past 8 months and have built a great relationship. Their team Andrew, Alexa and Dan have been a great source of support, very quick to respond to our inquiries and we’ve developed creative forms of engagement to meet both our business needs.

We had high hopes of driving affiliate review and approached this expansion in our marketing strategy with high hopes. Unfortunately this optimism was unfounded, the Awin platform has one of the worst web interfaces I've seen in a long time, it's difficult to use and looks like a relic from pre 2000's.
We found the affiliate base to be awful, mostly discount code websites and no genuine content producers.
We're now arguing about additional charges above our minimum 6 month commitment.
The whole experience has been such a drain and one I'd recommend businesses avoid at all costs.

The affiliate base for fashion and accessories is very small, invitations for affiliates are long on hold while you continue to pay for the program with no conversions, and there is no account manager dedicated to your account.

I worked with awin to sponsor my company's products, there's no quality in the people who claim to be influencers or bloggers

As an Advetiser, I am not getting any support by mail regarding various questions. Even after writing several times, I do not receive an answer to my questions for weeks.
Unfortunately, you don't get a fixed contact person, because you can and have to contact them via the general support email every time.
The platform works, but you need a lot of time to learn all the functions yourself if you don't get any support from the operators.

I was told by a merchant to sign up with Awin. After many days I got an email from Awin Saying "Hello,
Your application has not been approved as it does not meet our quality requirements for approval.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you, if you would like a refund for the signup fee please do let us know and we will arrange this for you.
Regards,"

The network with the best Chrome extension is extremely easy to use and has all the available codes in the publisher built-in, so once you create your link, you can also copy the available discounts all in one go.
The reporting has everything that a publisher may need - advertiser/product/device/click rate performances for the same day or weekly, monthly, yearly checks. I find the earning reporting extremely easy to read and understand, wherewith other platforms you are just waiting for payment and no explanation as to why the commission is not paid e.g. cancelled order.
The customer service is quite fast to respond, however more often doesn't answer the question directly. It would be great if we can suggest advertisers to the platform, without getting a generic ''we currently do not work with this merchant'' email.
Things that need to be really updated and some annoying features:
- opportunity marketplace. Great idea, but no growth. Merchants never check them nor make any offers or collab propositions. This makes publishers have to go to another platform to find these.
- dashboard can benefit from an ''all regions'' tab
- brand rejection responses are extremely generic and never give any feedback. Other platforms require brands to write at least a few words.
- ''create-a-feed'' tab can benefit if publishers can request from merchants banner sizes, photos, videos etc.
-pay-outs for different countries will be much easier to set up if there was an option to just set up one generic payment.
-give us the option to request affiliated or non-affiliated discount codes with long-standing merchants.

They are extremely slow to solve tracking problems. 1 year and 1 month without any payment at all now from a big ferry company. This makes affiliate living a huge problem if using Awin should be the only option. Other affiliate networks solves their issues within 1-2 months and pay out missing revenue. Nothing from Awin still after 1 year and 1 month

Nice service and quick response. Maybe the fastest I have ever experienced. And professional! I will recommend it

The worst affiliate network! Thieves!
Both Awin and their subsidiary ShareASale are the worst networks to join. They stole our commission and closed our account without even sending us any email, notification or even to tell us the reasons why they closed our publisher account!!
They just kept our money like that!

Since the different relaunches the backoffice for publishers got really really slow. Also the UX got worse. It's really difficult and slow to get your reports.
The Automated E-Mail templates the platform is sending to publishes are buggy and not well tested.
Feels like there is a lot done for Advertisers but barely nobody at Awin / Zanox tries to use the platform as a publisher.

I've been using the AWin platform for 7+ years as a publisher. The internal support has always been a great help in answering analytics questions as well as getting us points of contact in a timely manner. The network takes great care in determining optimization tactics for their brands as well as informing publishers of new opportunities.

This is the worst Affiliate network I have ever worked with. The employees happiness reflected in the performance and their ability to assist and manage our programs. If you are looking to work with Awin US do more research before joining them or shareasale from looking into their reviews online (Awin in Baltimore MD) to speaking with previous or current employees (linked in) in Account Management, Account Executive and Publisher Management. I have noticed that Account Manager employee's do not stay long which is a problem for me as I did not want to work with different people once I've already built a relationship with someone. I have switched to Impact and it has been the best decision I have ever made.

I just realized that they not want to pay out my comission. They want know how the traffic happen where came from ?
Even after explaining not had a response yet. i never had issues with affili.net or zanox btw.
i will update this review once my issues with awin dach will be fixed.
--------------UPDATE____________
First i need to admit is was my mistake to not regulary checkin my spam folder. as DACH - Partner Compliance emails seems ultimately being delivered to my spam folder and gone before i could read them.
As when i finally had a back and forth conversation they did understood and accept my explanation.
I also agree their doings as it is for the quality of the traffic and so i can only now recommend every Advertiser and Publisher to workin with awin, just remember and know how the traffic is comming to ur website and be able to give a detailed explanation and all will be fine.
thanks awin dach am looking forward to continue workin with u.
regards jessica
