This company took our money without notifying us for the service of 2026 in October 2025. We decided not to use their service from 2026 and asked for the refund. It has been almost two month since we requested, they ignored our request and we had no refund so far.
This is very disappointing that they have not refunded to us. Legal action will be processed next if they continue to refuse to refund to us.

Overall, it has been a good experience with AVASK, even if the process was not always easy. Throughout the journey, they always proposed answers and solutions, which is essential for complex VAT matters.
The VAT number process was quite fast in Italy (3 weeks), Germany, and the UK (around 6 weeks).
Charlotte was a great help for these countries and provided very precise and efficient support on the documentation required.
Spain, however, took much longer, almost 7 months for the Nif and 13 month for the VAT EU, with many back-and-forth exchanges.
When Riccardo took ownership of our case, things moved forward. He handled our file seriously and professionally, with clear and pleasant communication, which allowed the process to be completed.
For the filings, which we have been managing for almost one year, everything works well in self-service mode with our Amazon account and is largely automated.
Each filing still needs to be checked, and small payment update errors can occasionally occur, but they are easily resolved by contacting support.
Response times can sometimes reach 2 to 3 weeks, and follow-ups may be necessary, but we can clearly see continuous improvement.
Considering the price, AVASK remains a very interesting and valuable service. AVASK is perfectly suited for Amazon businesses using self-service.
However, if you sell through multiple sales channels and manage more complex VAT operations such as exports or manually issued invoices, it is recommended to choose their Premium service.

Review:
We engaged AVASK in early 2025 to handle VAT registration and compliance for two companies (Borner Inc. and Recovella E-commerce LLC) in Spain and Germany. After signing contracts and paying all fees in advance, we expected AVASK to obtain VAT numbers and manage ongoing compliance.
What went wrong:
1. No VAT numbers obtained: Despite repeated follow-ups throughout the year, AVASK never secured a VAT registration for either company in either country, meaning we could not legally operate or file returns.
2. Conflicting information on fees: AVASK (via Hannah in February) clearly stated that monthly fees would only apply once the VAT number was active. Yet charges continued even though no VAT was ever issued.
3. Change of entity mishandled: We were told the original company’s documentation (Good Standing) would delay the process. Based on AVASK’s own advice, we created a new company (ABAC Capital International) and provided all required documentation. AVASK agreed and began working with the new entity. Later, AVASK required a new contract and additional payments, ignoring the amount we had already paid and contradicting earlier commitments.
4. Inconsistent communication and lack of service: Internal handovers between AVASK UK and AVASK Spain, unclear instructions, and contradictory statements from different team members left us with zero results after many months. We ultimately had to hire another provider to obtain the German VAT number in ~20 days — something AVASK never achieved.
Overall, AVASK charged for services that were never delivered, despite repeated assurances and clear documentation, and failed to communicate consistently throughout the process.
We are requesting a full refund for services not performed.

What a nightmare! AVASK promised me both EORI and VAT numbers for £150. After 12 months of delays, I finally got my German VAT number. Now they're demanding another £150 for the EORI number, which was supposed to be included!
Their explanations are contradictory and they seem to just make up excuses to extract more money. Complete waste of time and money. Avoid this company at all costs!

The AVASK team is completely incompetent. Answering basic questions is impossible for these people. If they owe you money, you might as well forget about it. They don't hold their staff accountable and are completely useless.
They have owed me over 2,000 EUR for months. They say that issuing a refund takes them months. Ridiculous, objectively false, and incompetent are the 3 words I would use to describe these people.
CHOOSE A BETTER VAT SERVICE PROVIDER. AVASK IS TERRIBLE. In my opinion.

Absolutely terrible experience with Avask.
Last year, there were a lot of miscommunications. We were put through to Avask by Amazon after their EPR Services by Amazon ended.
Eventually, we decided to only go with France EPR registrations via Avask. Other registrations that I initially filled in, like Spain and Austria, could wait. Costs were €450.
Apparently, on 2 october, in between the other barely relevant newsletters they sent, they sent an email saying we would be automatically upgraded to their premium EPR service and that we would have to reply within two weeks to opt out. The pricing was hidden somewhere in a hyperlink in the email. I did not see this.
Now, they are billing us not only €1530 for the same compliance for France, but also an additional €1560 for Austrian compliance which we never signed for!! So the annual cost went from €450 to €3090, with more than half of that being costs that we shouldn't be getting billed, because we never ended up going through with our Austrian registration last year in the first place!
Tried to get in contact with them on the phone where false promises are made. Then, after mailing they take forever to reply. Meanwhile the disputes invoice is long overdue and they are sending automatic reminders with threats of debt collection services within 7 days!
And when you call them you get "oh sorry sir I can't get a hold of the credit handling department right now they'll give you a call back."
Please think very well before you do business with Avask! I personally think automatic renewal at 3x+ the costs without additional agreements needing to be signed is shady enough, but they are also holding on to wrong billing and when you try to dispute it, they all pretend like they aren't the one that can fix it and that they can't get a hold of the ones responsible for solving it.
