Unavailable Stock/Faulty Items/Slow Shipping
I recently purchased online items via Hilfiger Australia as a Christmas gift & paid additional express shipping to get it in time for December 25.
I received an email two days later to advise my package was on its way. However, one of the items was missing from the order.
When I queried this, I was lied to & advised that the item was being “sourced” from another warehouse.
Another 3 days after this I received an email advising that the stock is unavailable for the missing item & offered a “free shipping code” in its place. The original package still hasn’t arrived even though express shipping was paid for. A total of 5 days. I now have to find another present for the person this item was intended for. The entire reason I purchased early, online & opted for express post was so I don’t have to battle the shopping centre crowds. Now I have no choice but to.
About a month ago I also purchased a hoody. It was faulty - unable to remove marking on it & the pill that came off it in the wash was a sign of a low quality garment. Again it took about 3 weeks for return & replacement. Some items run really big, others run way small. There is no consistency to their sizing across their range.
The online experience & reliability of this company has taken an absolute nosedive. Up until this point I have purchased a lot of their clothing. After this, I will not be purchasing any more Hilfiger items again.
I would avoid this company at all costs if you want to avoid headaches & guaranteed disappointment. Your only other option is to visit in person if you can be bothered with their limited in store range.
