I had an issue with RAID expansion and raised a ticket. The support was really great and solved the problem. Not only a good product, really nice to know it's backed up by a skillfull support service as well.

For many years I’ve had Netgear ReadyNAS equipment, and for the most part, they have performed quite well. About 6 months ago, I decided that it was time to get a new NAS and began some reviews and evaluation on brands and models to fit my path forward. My initial research ended up pointing me in the direction of ASUS, QNAP, Synology, and Terramaster. After determining my current and planned future needs, the ASUS Asustor AS6704T certainly appeared to become the best choice.
I purchased the AS6704T and four new hard drives 4 months ago and had everything setup and running in very short order.
The Asustor NAS has been running flawlessly and performing without any issues from day 1. Very pleased with the features, capabilities, performance and reliability.
It has been an excellent choice and I would recommend this unit.

Avoid this brand. technical support as rotten as the totally unstable operating system I had to reformat my NAS 3 times in 3 months and the technical support and this indigent engineer F. tells me that it's my fault. Completely lousy technician! ashamed of such comments. ASUSTOR a good brand? it's a shame. does not come close to Synology. in addition have the nerve to ask to write here when a problem is resolved (according to them because my problem is not resolved and they don't care)

I have a very big problem because my router blocks everything from connecting to NAS, and also i have a problem of downloading and uploading really slow, thankfully Frank Eckardt help us big time!
He doesn't leave us blank, he helped us first on the slow network connection between the nas and the router, and also he helped us on our big problem which is the router blocks everything from connecting to NAS, He didn't leave us from the start. Very good customer support! If there were 1000 stars on the review, i will put 1000 stars not 5 star, but yeah as i was saying, if you meet Frank, your problem regarding the NAS will be solved, no matter what.
Thanks again Frank!

I had a connection problem with my Xpanstor and reached out to support. Frank E. replied and after troubleshooting my inability to see my drives, we arranged for a remote access. Frank had my problem fixed in about 20 min as I watched everything he did, performed a couple of connection issues with my NAS on my end. My experience was exceptional in the resolution of my problem. I'm now up and running with my NAS and Xpanstor unit operating smoothly. Frank was awesome and highly professional in his dealings with me. I couldn't be happier.

Great NAS systems and service!
I don't know why there are so many negatives. I've been using the 304T for 7 or 8 years now and had an issue when swapping to bigger disks.
Most company's, end of warranty is end of service.
But Asustor didn't mind to even help me via Anydesk remote login today.
They did the same a few years ago (also outside warranty) and fixed something for me.
Now that's what I call service!!

I have had an ASUSTOR NAS for several years. Recently, I started getting an error message on one of the drives, but the bad block and SMART scans did not show corresponding errors.
I created a support ticket and was very impressed with the promptness of service and the knowledge of the Tech Support Analyst Frank.
Over several days, he asked me to try out options and provide the diagnostic logs for analysis. He also asked me to try a solution which has worked so far, and the error has not repeated.
I was all set to replace one of the hard drives, but with the help of Frank at ASUSTOR, I have not had to replace it.
I think we must be on different time zones, because I would receive a response the next day after submitting log files, but that was perfectly acceptable.
Thank you Frank and ASUSTOR support for your excellent support!

I have owned an Asustor NAS for 10 years. It keeps family memories of kids grown old and loved family members no longer here. It has reliably assisted me with numerous hobby programming projects, and recently with some more mission-critical work. Always reliable, always on.
After 10 years, my Asustor NAS had to be retired, the motherboard seems like to have been the issue, as can be typical after 10 years with any computer or NAS. I bought a newer generation Asustor NAS unit and saw that the better hardware (10 years of progress in computer electronic design) immediately gave me improved experience.
The best part: I took the disks from the old NAS, put them in the new NAS, and everything just worked!
Fast forward a few months, and I had an accident: the NAS restarted due to a system update and this happened while a RAID migration was ongoing and the NAS under heavy read-write load. After the restart, the NAS was not reachable. I was starting to think all my data was lost and unrecoverable.
I flagged the issue to Asustor via their electronic help desk. Within hours, they reached out and gave me times and dates when they could connect to the unit remotely and troubleshoot.
Despite the complexity, their dedication and expertise prevailed. It took two troubleshooting sessions and a lot of persistence and ingenuity by Asustor technical support. They had the NAS back up and running, exactly how it was before. They restored my NAS without losing any data.
Asustor help was amazing. I will be forever grateful to Frank from Asustor and to the other helpful RAID engineers.

Bought an Asustor Drivestor 2 Pro - AS3302T - What a piece of junk, the software is far behind other NAS, and the shared folders can only be backup to a cloud not to a PC, there you must use EZ Sync and thes folders can only synch with a PC, you can't sync them to a Cloud and the buildin backup program can't take a backup of these folders, not the way it should work - Next is the web server, works fine, but your webapp can only use 128M and you can only upload 2M files to f.eks WordPress/Joomla/Etc and you can't edit the php.ini via the user interface as you can on other NAS - So i can't recommend Asustor to any out there - Buy Synology instead :-)
Like the other reviewers, I am very dissatisfied with Asustor. My NAS had a hardware fault after about 8 months of use and, fair enough, they agreed to fix it (I forgot how many weeks/months it took). When I got it back, I was told it could not work unless it reformatted my two 8Gb data disks. After many attempts to ask why I needed to either reformat my two data disks or put in a "spare" disk and reformat that (only to replace the spare with the other disks) they avoided my question and became angry. I asked (as politely as I could) why, if I sacrifice a spare disk in order to boot the NAS up, it would recognise my two data disks when I reinstalled them. I.e. why it needed to reformat "something" when it started but it didn't care what. The "support" would not admit he didn't know the answers to these questions and became abusive. He closed the ticket without solving the problem. I am left with a non-working NAS.
If anyone wants to see the transcript of my conversation just reply to this review and send me an email.
Really the most awful peace of S..., in hardware history. The support is practically non existent. I brought this for surveillance, but after some time they cameras stopped recording, and after numerous support tickets, they just stopped answering me. Now I turned it into a storage server with external USB connected HDD. but after several ADM updates it fails on every 2. update. Really hard to get it up and running after updates. and when It does. it might run for months, but suddenly fails every other week. I cannot recommend any of their NAS'
