I recently purchased a Defender 90 from Arkonik, and the entire experience was exceptional from start to finish. From the moment I found the vehicle on their website, the team delivered true white-glove service.

Communication was seamless, transparent, and highly responsive throughout the process. Every detail—from vehicle specs to delivery logistics—was handled with professionalism and care, making what could have been a complex purchase feel effortless.

Arkonik goes above and beyond with customer service after the sale. I purchased a used Arkonik build that was done 10 years ago and was neglected some. They have given me parts and helped me source hard to find parts that I was struggling finding. I would highly recommend anyone to join the family.

Recently purchased a 50th Anniversary V8 from Tom and the team. I have some extras with upgrades on the sound system. Arkonik attention to detail is second to none and customer service is excellent. Can’t recommend enough!!

Arkonik resolved things fairly.

They will not Answer their phone. After having multiple issues your several Defenders with all kinds of issues from t-case leaks, hubs leaking, power steering pumps leaking multiple custom radiators Arkonik does not stand behind their work and will leave you to figure it out for your self because they can not answer the phone.

This is my third review on Arkonik (see March 2018 and January 2021). The original order from 2018 was deferred because my job took me out of the country for several years. I finally got back in the queue in 2021, and what follows is my experience regarding that build . . .

My wife and I have visited Arkonik's headquarters in Mells, UK on two occasions, the first visit being in 2018. It took years for me to be in the position where I could pull the trigger on a build, and while the road has not been without its bumps, I would (and possibly will) do it all over again.

My 110 was delivered last month after about a two-year delay. The delay was frustrating, but Arkonik kept me informed and the finished truck was waaaay nicer than I had expected.

I give them the benefit of the doubt and expect that issues such as the pandemic, changing import regulations, and challenging economic times all likely played a role in the lengthy build time.

Truth be told, the experience did test my patience. But I had faith in Arkonik’s reputation, having visited their headquarters in the UK gave me lots of reassurance, and I trusted they would ultimately deliver. And they did . . . in a big way.

I can't leave the driveway without someone stopping me to gawk over the truck— from road construction workers to an 80 year-old grandmother in the parking lot, and those are both true stories from the first week of ownership.

I've had a couple of minor warranty issues (bleeding the brakes, adjusting the engine for high altitude) that have been readily handled and covered by Arkonik.

Quality and craftsmanship are harder and harder to come by these days. If you own, have ordered, or are considering an Arkonik, you likely know this to be the case. Their Defenders embody both. You can practically feel it when driving the truck.

Given all of the factors mentioned above, I believe that Arkonik had a choice to make: maintain the delivery schedule and sacrifice the quality of the build, or maintain the quality of the build and sacrifice the delivery schedule. They chose quality, as I assume they always do. It shows. It’s the nicest Defender I’ve ever seen.

Having visited them in person, I can say with absolute certainty that they are a group of honest, hard-working, well-intentioned and dependable guys and girls who have a passion for what they do.

I expect that things will ultimately work out for everyone out there who's in the queue. Be patient. An Arkonik Defender is a thing of beauty and is worth waiting for.

Thank to the team at Arkonik, what sets out a good company from a great one is attention to detail. The whole team showed great enthusiasm with my D90 Tomb Raider addition, they identified the root cause very quickly and not only delivered a smooth running 2.5 automatic but also did a few extras that really makes difference. Thank you Tom looking forward to the next phase.

20,000 miles in and loving my Defender. It’s been a pleasure from day one working with Tom and Andy from when I first visited their shop in Bath England to reckless abandonment across my ranch in Texas. The Queen would have been proud to call the truck her own. God rest her soul

I couldn’t be more happy with my Arkonik Defender. I have nearly 10,000 miles on it and it is absolutely fantastic. It was always intended to be an heirloom vehicle for our family and it has certainly fit that bill.

Arkonik refurbished a 110 Defender for me over 5 years ago in 2019. I drive it most days and it puts a smile even as I see it waiting for me in the garage in the morning. My kids love the sense of adventure it portends, and the throaty LS-swapped engine has carried us to numerous camping trips and hikes. People are continually asking me about it, and its led to numerous conversations. Arkonik has been great over the years whenever my local garage has a part question, as will happen with good and continual use. The Arkonik Defender is all about the the journey.

Arkonik are the most fantastic customer. A true British icon. Very dependable, loyal and genuine.

I grew up in a Defender 90 - surf boards thrown in the back, dad driving us to the beach.

When dad passed away a few years ago, I decided to build a custom defender 90 to honour his memory.

I needed help.

After loads of research, I settled on Arkonik.

They had the dream cocktail:

- exacting standards
- lots of experience
- and the ability to take customisation to the next level

And they've delivered. Even creating custom "Sheriff" chassis art (dad was nicknamed Sheriff).

I can't recommend these guys enough.

Yes it takes some time (all proper resorations do).

But I wouldn't trust another company with the the job.

We had the most incredible experience with Arkonik from start to finish. They were extremely adaptable in hearing our needs for our Series III. We run a wedding car business, Dorset Defender, and need our cars to be running perfectly all year around. Therefore, we decided to transform our Series III with a new 200 TDI engine. Arkonik went above and beyond with not only providing their advice and adapting to our needs but with the finish being spectacular. We even enjoyed a fantastic in-depth tour of their factory upon collection and met the team behind our build. The transformation has been fantastic and she drives like a completely new car, now going up hills in 4th gear like a dream. We never thought an engine bay could look so beautiful. We are forever grateful and will be back!

Well, it's been over 5 years now as an Arkonik truck owner and I have to say that it's been a rewarding experience. I have met amazing people in the Defender community and having like-minded conversations with good people is fulfilling to say the least. Owning these trucks teaches you a lot about the ups and downs of restored classics, and Arkonik has been supportive through my entire journey. They stand behind their product and value long-term customer relationships and in this day and age, that is truly valuable in the car ownership landscape.

We have owned an Arkonik D110 since 2015. It's a wonderful rig, we love using it and we receive questions, comments and complements wherever we go.
From the initial configuration and build, through delivery and an after delivery service visit, the Arkonik team have been exemplary. Even today, I received an immediate response to a question about our vehicle, and wanted everyone to know what a great outfit they are.
