Mens Beta Down jacket

I recently bought an Arc'teryx Beta Down jacket colour Forage and I love it.
This is a great jacket in all respects. It looks really smart so can be worn on the high street with confidence.
I've only tried it at -1C and it's very warm with just a single wool jumper underneath.
I've read reviews about how noisy the modern Gore-tex fabrics are and I totally disagree that this is an issue. I hardly notice it and I love hearing the rain just bounce off.
It was expensive compared to other manufacturers but you get what you pay for. When you study the specification the Gortex waterproof performance and 850 down speak volumes.
If I had to criticise anything it would be the cuff tightener velcro not being shell colour but I had to think very hard to come up with something negative.
Looking forward to using it in the Scottish highlands in April!

I bought the Beta jacket for my sons…

I purchased a Beta jacket for my son as a Christmas gift. When it arrived, I was surprised by the materials almost “crisp packet” feel, which immediately raised concerns about durability — concerns that unfortunately proved justified.

The positives first: delivery, after-sales information, and sizing were all excellent and exactly as described.

However, the jacket was worn outdoors only twice, in reasonable conditions, and the pockets had not been used. On the third occasion, while my son was simply placing gloves into the left pocket, the zipper failed. It was not caught on anything and no excessive force was applied. When the zip failed, it caused a tear of approximately 2cm in the jacket fabric. Given how new and lightly used the garment was, we were both shocked.

I immediately raised a service request via the website, submitting photos and a detailed explanation. Each time I submitted the form, I received an error message stating the submission had failed. I attempted this three times. Later, I discovered all three requests had in fact gone through, leaving me with three separate reference numbers.

The following morning, all requests were answered promptly, but each response asked for different additional information. I proceeded with the request requiring the least resubmission. I then received a reply stating the jacket may qualify for a zip replacement and asking me to select a replacement zip colour — including options such as magenta, yellow, and blue — despite the jacket and original zips being black. I was also informed the repair could take 5–6 weeks, with return shipping and insurance costs to be covered by myself.

At this point, I was extremely disappointed and disillusioned. Given the minimal use and clear product failure, this should have been a straightforward refund or replacement.

As a company that prides itself on sustainability, I would also respectfully suggest reconsidering policies where damaged stock is repaired only for return to customers often at their own cost or written off entirely. Repairing items and donating them to charitable organisations would better align with sustainability values and help reduce landfill waste.

Update:
Since submitting this review, I contacted the senior leadership team. My complaint was forwarded to a resolution specialist who responded immediately, apologised for the experience, and resolved the issue quickly and efficiently. A replacement jacket and a free returns label were provided, which has somewhat restored some faith in the brand. However, such extreme measures should not be required and there is definitely room for improvement in customer service attitude and response. I have raised my star rating from 1 to 3.

No help with damaged product

Terrible experience with a damaged product, I wrote them a message for a beanie. I had it for less than a month, they told me that they are going to replace it but I need to look on the website to find the product online and only if its available they would replace it, I‘m waiting over 1 years looking every week and its never available. I don‘t get any help and they promote themself as a expensive brand an good quality but they don‘t are about their clients when there is a problem !!!

Poor warranty experience

I've had several arcteryx garments and the quality is generally good, except their waterproofs which perform poorly compared to most other premium brands. I had to use their warranty service recently. I had to chase twice and send multiple pictures only to be told I'm not covered and they don't supply any material to help repair. Really poor service given the premium you pay. Too risky for future purchases.

Their Return Policy is False!

I purchased Gamma MX pants as a gift at their Manhattan store and was told that I could return the product within 30 days if the size was wrong. It was wrong, but now I am told I can only return to the store. I don't live in Manhattan. They don't allow returns on-line. So, effectively, you can't return store bought products, even though they say you can. NOT what I would expect of a product that is this expensive! Not to mention outright deceptive advertising.

High Recommend Ski Bibs

I wear ski bibs 100+ days per year and believe this is the best ski pant on the market. Their ski bib design is excellent with multiple pockets, front zip, and side zips. Love the two cargo pockets for easy access to a phone or radio even with glove liners on. Upper leg or chest pockets are good for flatter items like a ski pass or thin wallet. Integrated shoulder straps are nice and easily adjustable. The size zips allow for significant ventilation. The bottom cuffs have thick polymer for extra wear protection the inner gator is easy to slide over boots. The Gore Tex feels like the right material thickness for durability and breathability, especially because the side vents allow for cooling on a warm day. I'm happy there is little to no insulation. Waterproofing feels best in class, will know later this season. I'm 5'9" 190# and bought an MS (medium short). The inseam, waist, and hip sizing is ideal for my mobility. Grateful for the Short Inseam offering, getting a standard length hemmed is not easy or durable. Order #XXXXX593 Nov 2025 Ski Use 18 days so far Dec 2025.

Arc'teryx - don't bother!

Arc'teryx - don't bother!

I have tried in vain to order from their site, it just refuses to move beyond entry of delivery address.

Contacted customer services and they were no use either. They asked me to enter my address details in my account so they could do a manual order - however there was nowhere in the account menu to do so. So they did it for me (although I'm unable to see that on the account). Then the item I wanted to order went out of stock and they confirmed they couldn't do a manual order on it.

I would avoid Arc'teryx as they seem to be unable to get their website working - I even asked others to try and they all had the same problems. It's just not worth the effort!

Appalling Gortex Jacket Quality and Customer Service

We were appalled that Arcteryx Customer Service representative, Wyomie, recommended patches for my husband’s Gortex Arcteryx jacket, deteriorating after less than two years ownership, and which he wore only when it rained. Not only did she suggest patches, but she explained that she would send black patches for a jacket that had a grey interior. We had sent photos, but there was little evidence that she looked at these. After bringing this to her attention, she eventually explained that the company can provide grey patches. After several emails, Wyoming agreed to provide my husband with a $200 gift card for a jacket that likely costs $500 - $600, plus tax. This is like going to a restaurant, getting poisoned, and then the restaurant offering to provide another meal, at a discount. The fact that customer service is providing patches for their Gortex jackets indicates that the product is obviously inferior. Why would one spend money to buy another Arcteryx Gortex jacket when, at the most, one would only have four months wear?
Our family has been buying Gortex since the company first started, and we were thrilled with the quality of the rain gear and customer service, in the past. We probably have ten Arcteryx jackets. We were amazed that Arcteryx, in the past, had a lifetime warranty and honoured that warranty. I still wear and love a jacket that I purchased more than twenty years ago.
This, however, will definitely be the end of our support for Arcteryx, and we advise other people to reconsider their Arcteryx purchases. The present quality and service is appalling!

Disappointing customer service

I had a package marked as delivered that was never actually handed to me. It was left in a public area of my building and went missing. Despite clearly and consistently explaining this, Arc’teryx refused to take responsibility and repeatedly referred me to the carrier.
What’s especially disappointing is that Arc’teryx states that shipments are insured, yet when something goes wrong, this apparently does not apply in practice. Instead of helping the customer, the process became unnecessarily slow, difficult, and frustrating.
I am still without a replacement or refund, €50 out of pocket, and now without a Christmas gift to give. For a premium brand, I expected a far more professional and customer-friendly way of handling delivery issues.

Package didn't arrive and no refund

Package didn't arrive, asked for this to be redelivered and the courier has lost the package and I still haven't been offered a replacement or refund now. Weeks have past without resolution leaving me unable to purchase Christmas presents.

Customer service is responsive and polite but doesn't seem to have the power to do anything so rather unhelpful and waste your times over numerous calls and emails

As others have said quality does not match the high price and their warranty team is horrendous. They give you a fraction of the price and then say that basically nothing is covered which means don’t spend your money on a place that doesn’t honour quality like the horrendous place

IArc’teryx ReBIRD™ Deceptive Listing – Unwearable Product & Horrible Customer Service! am extremely disappointed with my…

I am extremely disappointed with my recent ReBIRD™ purchase Thorium Hoody Women’s, CAD 379.68 total). Here’s the shocking experience:

The product page only showed stock model photos (no actual images of the garment) and was labeled “Excellent” (claimed “no visible signs of wear”). Critical details about a repair were hidden behind a “Learn more” link, with just a tiny note saying “professionally repaired.” I never imagined this meant a huge, unsightly black patch across the chest—it’s so prominent that the hoody is completely unwearable in public!

I contacted ReBIRD™ customer service immediately to request a refund, but they dismissed my concerns and refused to help. I then reached out to Arc’teryx’s main customer service, who told me they couldn’t intervene because ReBIRD™ handles their own orders. It’s absurd that a premium brand like Arc’teryx allows its ReBIRD™ program to sell defective, misrepresented products and ignore customer complaints.

For a $300+ “Excellent” rated item, this is nothing short of deceptive. Save your money—ReBIRD™ lacks transparency, has misleading ratings, and offers zero accountability. I’ve already prepared a complaint to the Competition Bureau of Canada and will never buy from Arc’teryx ReBIRD™ again.

Avoid ReBIRD™ at all costs if you don’t want to waste your time and money!

Support can be more consistent and better

Update 09.12.2025

I am updating this review to reflect that the issue has been successfully resolved. After my case was escalated, a Resolution Specialist (Vanessa) took over and immediately rectified the situation. She apologized for the previous miscommunication and provided the prepaid return label and a clear path for a replacement unit within hours.

This professional, efficient handling is exactly what I expected from Arc'teryx in the first place. While the initial process with the first agent was unnecessarily difficult, I appreciate the brand eventually stepping in to make it right.

----------------------
original review:
I bought a Delta Hoody from the Arc'teryx Outlet on 23 November 2025. I wore it once, washed it once exactly as instructed, and the zipper immediately started fraying and jamming. For a €220 jacket, that is pretty shocking. Still, defects happen. Fine.
What has really broken my trust is everything that happened after.
Customer service has been a complete nightmare. First I was told I could not return a defective item because I had washed it. For a warranty issue, that is ridiculous. After I pushed back, an agent clearly promised me a prepaid shipping label so they could assess the jacket. I actually felt relieved for a moment and thought the situation was finally being taken seriously.
Then, in the very next email, they completely reversed themselves and told me I had to sort out and pay for shipping on my own. No explanation. No apology. Just a copy-paste style reply that ignored what had just been agreed. It feels like nobody is actually reading my messages or taking responsibility. Just scripts and contradictions.
In the meantime, I had already bought a replacement jacket out of my own pocket (yep, again from them, finger crossed the zip is fine!) because I needed something for winter and trusted Arc'teryx to handle the defective one fairly. Instead, I am being made to feel like I am the problem for asking them to honour their own promises.
Right now I am stuck in an email loop, repeating the same information, chasing a simple return label for a product that arrived defective. It has cost me time, energy and money, and it is honestly draining. This is not how a "premium" brand should treat someone who trusted them enough to come back and buy again.
Update: Still waiting for the prepaid label that the agent "Dina" promised.

Black Friday Jacket Order Canceled — Serious Reliability Concerns

I purchased a Beta SL Men’s Jacket (Black) during the Black Friday sale with the expectation that a premium brand like Arc’teryx would have reliable inventory and fulfillment.

Three days after placing the order, I received an email stating that my order could not be fulfilled due to a “stock discrepancy.” The entire resolution was a refund. No offer of a replacement color, no comparable product, no attempt to honor the promotional price I secured.

This was disappointing for several reasons:

• A Black Friday order should not be canceled due to poor inventory controls.
• A premium brand should make reasonable efforts to offer alternatives.
• This was a one-time annual opportunity to purchase at a discount.
• Customer service provided no meaningful assistance or options.

The gap between Arc’teryx’s reputation and this experience was significant. For a brand selling high-end equipment, reliability should be non-negotiable. I expected far better.

I will be reconsidering future purchases, and I hope this review helps others make an informed decision.

Long Lasting / Good Serivce

I own 3 shell jackets (Sabre, Beta & Rush) plus a Proton insulated jacket. All have been amazing. Plus a family member accidently washed & dried my 8 year old Rush jacket which wrecked all the seems. They took it back and repaird it at no cost. Yes they are expensive but in on the wet west coast the investment is worth it.

Awful

Paid the extra for quick delivery and after a week still hadn't arrived despite contacting them ( they never bothered to respond!) It came after 17 days and was far too small. Contacted them again no reply for refund of coat and express delivery cost. Terrible customer service and clearly not UK size.

Ordered joggers

Well it's pricey and it did take some time to reach though we have a shop here, but the quality is nice.
First of all, the fabric is great and it was a bit oversized but I don't mind that because I don't like tight trousers anyway. I doesn't get dirty and it's easy to wash too. I've been wearing that for a month now and I am totally satisfied. I still think the price can be lower tho, and I would be hitting the store once they lauch some discouts and etc. Because the jackets costs a lot on their own.

I am so upset

I am so upset. My son was given a Cerium hoodie jacket. It got a small tear not caused by him. He put a piece of Seran wrap over it and than a piece of tape to protect it until I contacted support. Support said because he put a piece of clear scotch tape over it the warranty was not valid. The jacket is not even one year old. It is hardly worn. There is no reason why this cant be fixed the tape never touched the tear or anywhere near the tear. This is terrible service.

poor quality

I bought some base layer (boxer shorts). The quality of manufacturing was VERY impressive, but only after only several times wearing them (and this is not 'a few times wearing them while doing tour de France') they started tu run in a couple of places, unthreading too. In short, poor quality.
btw, they're made in Vietnam, if I remember from the label, then shipped to... Switzerland, then shipped to me via DHL to the UK. Green way to go, eh!
