terrible company

constant issues with our distrubution , releases not listed under the correct genre (they blamed us for it even when we proved this to be incorrect). late delivery of our releases. Broken promises to get us to sign up to them and leave our previous distrubution site such as preferential tereastment with Beatport (they are their sister company so we believed them but they denied this!! ) when joining loads of our releases didnt get updated correctly, the supprt at the time was terrible , its not much better now. We have lost countless sales due to them. I run 3 labels and we have gone from being one of the most supported labels in our genre on Juno to getting nothing since joining them! Juno said this is because the optics all reset when we joined ampsuite making us look like a brand new label. 2 years down the line and we have half the sales we used to. Never join them you will regret it , dont believe their sales pitch.

Good but not appealing.

Their platform provides numerous superfluous features, yet lacks direct split sharing with your artists. You must manage that independently. The primary concern is their utilisation of additional Admin features to solicit an increased deal share. Their agreement allocates 65% to the label and 35% to the distributor, which is unappealing to label owners and artists who will receive 50% of the 65% share. Ampsuite (Beatport LLC) has consistently been recognised for its avaricious business practices, initially evident with its previous Baseware Distribution Platform and increasingly pronounced following its acquisition of Ampsuite. I advise labels with extensive catalogues to utilise Symphonic Distribution, since they offer an 85/15 revenue split and a direct split share feature for artists through the creation of a complimentary Symphonic account. Moreover, they have integrated significant features such as Spotify artist claim and YouTube artist claim right into the platform.
