Paid next day delivery and as soon as email saying order dispatched, received email from DPD saying order delayed - basically Amara offering next day delivery by Dpd but is not honouring. Me - I just paid for it and you cannot contact Amara

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.
Firstly, the quality of the products are AWFUL for the price. Shein is better quality and much cheaper. I wanted to send the item back which they make very difficult. They didn’t want me to return it and said I could pay £9 to EXCHANGE it for another size. I said I wanted to return it and the process to return is very over complicated and expensive as they don’t want you to return it. Scam!

Like other reviews about this company DO NOT GO NEAR IT, it should be shut down. Goods have to be sent back to China, which you would not be aware of until wanting to return as their front pages lead you to believe they are sent in the UK. It is only after you look at their returns policy that you discover goods come from Asia and they have to be sent back there at your cost. Despite entering into email correspondence with them they are now not replying. I had to pay £12 to send back the dress I ordered which I might add was poor quality, the package has now been sitting in customs in China for 11 days. This company is fraudulent, shame on you Amara.
The email responses this company post on here are just as INEFFECTIVE as their returns policy; They have my details and have STOPPED RESPONDING to my emails to them. Need I say more!

Don’t buy anything from this company they advertise clothes and shoes and when u get them they are nothing like the product. Stuff has to be sent back to china, but the postage is £25 so not worth it, you will lose your money whatever way you decide! They offered me a 25%discount and even with that I still have lost £48.00 for the tat they sent, which is only fit for the bin

I have lost £49.95 for a jacket I bought from Amara and tried to return.MY saga is too convoluted. They did everything they could to make it hard to return the jacket, and I failed to get my money back. BEWARE.

I purchased from this place in good faith. The dress was beyond rubbish and when I go to return it has to go to China not UK, which costs the same as the dress did to begin with. This place is operating with a fake name. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HERE.

I ordered a number of clothing items for my holidays. The items looked lovely in pictures but when I received them the material was horrible. I was returning them but there was no invoice in parcels nor anything about returns. I had to email them for help in returning the goods. When I got the form I completed it & saw a Uk address for returns which is where I sent it to & thankfully got tracked post & the parcel had been delivered to the Uk address. I checked my credit card account there was no refund after 10 days. I contacted them about this & received an email asking me why I didn't send the parcel to the address on the returns form in China & that this would delay any refund. I have sent a copy of the post receipt showing its tracker number & proof of delivery
I have explained about returns to China but yet the parcel had a return address for UK.
On the website it states they're based
In London but they expect you to return them to China at your own expense. I have explained that the address on the parcels address label stated another address in UK. My return cost me £14 to go to UK address it would be a lot more expensive.
This company misleads customers by stating they're a company in London & doesn't say anywhere on there webpage about links to China & that any returns would have to be sent there.
I'm hoping my credit card company can help me with this if they try to avoid refunding my money & I am going to trading standards with this as I feel they need to look into how this company operates

Dress was nothing like the advertised photos. Material cheap and returns process made impossibly hard. Name suggests a UK based business, this is NOT the case. Had to return to China at my expense 😡

This is a rubbish company. DON'T BUY FROM THEM. Everything comes from China and for an exchange or return you need to send the item to China first. The PO will not guarantee delivery except at vast expense. The company says Amara London but it is NOT in London. DON'T BE FOOLED

I ordered what I thought was a flat shoe from a store London based as that’s what it said on FB , I went onto the website as i wasn’t to sure about shopping on FB . It said clearance sale leather flat shoe and a lovely pic of a nice leather flat shoe. I ordered in good faith I thought when payment came out as Hewynandre for £39.95 it was sus! How right was I , i finally received what can only be described as a piece of tatt !! Cheap cant really be described as leather, a plastic sole no tags in a ripped poly bag and to top it all off the elastic to button the rag onto your foot wasn’t even stitched to the so called shoe . I knew I’d been scammed but was going to chalk it up to experience but at £40 quid I don’t want anyone else falling for this SCAM!!! THEY ARE NOT A UK BASED SHOP AT ALL THEY ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR HARD EARNED CASH !!! Just because we order what we think is a bargain shoe doesn’t mean we don’t work hard to earn money to buy things we need . They had the cheek to say send it back to china or take a 15% discount wtf for crap that’s broke !!! STAY CLEAR PLEASE
I’ve tried to attach pics of these but it won’t let me :(( very disappointed this is happening with loads of stuff online made to look like it’s from a shop and it’s not
In answer to your reply I was in contact with you Amara via email and the same outcome as in all the other reviews on here you are just putting off and stalling so more people fall into your trap and give up same way I did , we get No resolve from you all via your emails apart from asking for more money and a fake China Address to return item too as I said on my last email to Amara enjoy my £40 its the last il be scammed of and hopefully loads of others who fell for it too !!!

I'm surprised this rating is as high as 2.4. Amara London ('Classic British design') is a scam that relies on misleading pictures and the fact that customers won't realise that returns have to be sent to China at their own expense. I bought a pair of shoes that didn't fit and turned out to be badly made plastic. I wasted time filling in a form I found online and approx £6 to return them to an address in the UK, billed as Amara. My package was sent back with a note enclosed (and a business card with the same Amara London logo as on the shoes) telling me to send them to the correct address. A rabbit hole journey to find this address means emailing back and forth with 'customer service' who, after offering various 'discounts', then provide an address in China.

The quality of the dress is nothing like the photo, like a previous review (which I wish I had read first) it looks like a cheap t-shirt. The colour is completely different so by the looks of it, as I haven't heard back at all from my numerous emails, I have wasted nearly £40. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

The dress was not at all what they showed, the material was jersey kind, the Small size was not small, too big, no fitting, sleeves disproportionate, arrived after 20 days, looked like a market stall dress. By naming it Amara london it looks posh, ,there is not even a name tag on it. Made in China. Very very disappointed

DO NOT SHOP WITH THIS COMPANY AMARA LONDON. THEY ARE MAKING MONEY OUT OF SCAMMING YOU ONLINE. I BOUGHT A DRESS NOTHING LIKE THE PHOTO THEY WHERE SELLING. IT WAS CHEAP T-SHIRT MATERIAL. FAULTY STITCHING. MEANT TO BE A MAXI, ONLY KNEE LENGTH. HAD TO RETURN IT TO CHINA COST OF REFUNDING WAS HORRENDOUS. THEY DONT WANT TO SEE THE FAULTY ITEM. THEY KNOW THEY ARE SCAMMING ONLINE CUSTOMERS EMAILED THEM WANTING A FULL REFUND FOR FAULTY ITEM NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN. WE SHOULD MAKE THIS COMPANY GO VIRAL ON INSTAGRAM SO INNOCENT HARD WORKING CONSUMERS ARE NOT TRICKED INTO BUYING FROM THEM

BEWARE! SHOP ELSEWHERE. They promise an easy returns process within 45 days BUT return postage has to be paid by customer and the address is in CHINA. Whether it ever gets there or is even a real address is not proven. Products of very poor quality and shoes come up small, very slim soles, didn't fit. Their website states Trustpilot rating as 4.7: NOT TRUE!!!!

Keep away from this company. They sent me the wrong colour shoes. The product is cheap plastic, nothing like the photos on the website. Their returns policy is hopeless - you need to return your product to China at your own expense. Have nothing to do with them.
You can see below that they are trying to connect with me, by demanding more information that they already have. This is so that, if I don’t respond, my review will be taken down. So, uf anyone is listening, you have all my details, so feel free to send me a refund. The shoes were so bad I couldn’t even give them to a charity shop. They went in the bin. What a scam.
