I rented a car from this company for 4…

I rented a car from this company for 4 days in November 2024, attracted by their competitive pricing. A key reason I chose them was that their representative on WhatsApp assured me I could leave a cash safety deposit, which was important since international credit cards from my country were not accepted in Dubai at the time.

Before confirming the booking, I explicitly asked: "How will I get my deposit back after 30 days, when I am no longer in Dubai?"
The manager replied: "Don't worry, we will give you a solution."

After returning the car, I was no longer in contact with the original representative. A different manager took over. As expected, the deposit was not returned in cash, contrary to what had been promised.

Due to international restrictions, I could not receive bank transfers, so I asked them again after 30 days. At that point, no one mentioned any fines or deductions. Only vague replies followed. This raises a serious question: if fines truly existed, why weren’t they mentioned at the time? Why did this only become an issue 6 months later?

When I followed up again much later (once I could accept Western Union), I was told that only 542 AED remained from my original $500 USD deposit, with the rest allegedly used for Salik and traffic fines. When I requested documentation, they replied that the fines were already "paid and deleted", and could not provide any concrete evidence.

In summary:

The company did not honor promises made by its own staff.

There was no transparency regarding fines or deductions.

Responsiveness dropped significantly after the car was returned.

I was never informed of any fines at the appropriate time.

Do not rely on verbal promises or anything said by their managers when they are trying to convince you to take the car.

I strongly recommend avoiding this company
