It’s there broker I have had problems…fx prime Funchal madeira

It’s there broker I have had problems with. Because I did a Google review fx prime Ricardo. He sent an email to my friend . It was full of lies about me. This guy took my apartment insurance in November. He sent email to me canceling him as a broker. I still have the insurance but no broker. My friend emailed. Richado asking for proof of the allegations. No response.

HORRIBLE SERVICE.

It took me 3 days, numerous phone calls (2+ hours each) just to get the policy for which I've paid for. Horrible service and pricing. Do not recommend. Lost out on a government apoio because they took too long to generate me proof of insurance.

Wow...where do i start

Wow...where do i start. This has been the absolutely worst car insurance experience I've ever had. I've never seen service like this in the UK, but Portugal managed it.

My wife and I are very closer to suing your company for damages and a ruined holiday.

Yesterday, at 15:19 we made the first call to Allianz Car Insurance Portugal because we were stranded in the middle of nowhere in rural Spain with a flat tire and no spare. They told us to call the international number, which we did and eventually someone called back and got a recovery truck to come and tow the vehicle to a random scrapyard. There, they told us we needed a new tyre and the car hard to stay overnight, and that you, as the insurance company, would find a garage the day after (today, 17 April) to get a new tyre.

We then tried to contact Allianz on several occasions to get a taxi and they were not helpful at all. We were stranded in the middle of nowhere, stressed, tired and really cold, without being able to communicate in Spanish, with the phone battery dying, and they told us to call the international number and wait for someone someone get back to us. It was around 7pm already, the international number was in Portuguese, which we don't yet speak, and we could not figure out how to get through to an assistant. It was horribly stressful and the insurance broker, Mafalda Moura Ribeiro of Contact Life (look her up) wasn't helpful at all. She told us we wouldn't be able to reimburse a taxi if we didn't book it through Allianz, which she was also unable to organise for us. In the end, we had to pay €80 for a taxi ourselves, explain in a broken mix of English and Spanish where we were going, which was an hour away, and only then were we on our way.

Meanwhile, the car was towed somewhere - a location we still don't know - and we were told to go through the insurance company, to sort everything out the next day. We sincerely hoped this is what would happen. However, as I write this, it's 6:35pm in Spain and we have called Allianz repeatedly since 9:58am this morning to attempt to fix this. Every time, we have been told that they will get back to us right away. No one ever called us back.

At 16:36, we again called again, after having to walk 1 hour into the town because we are staying in a rural location. When we called, no one seemed to have any idea of what was going on with our car for a long time, and eventually we were told that all garages are closed today and nothing can be done until Monday. Nothing at all, including a replacement vehicle or any compensation. When we asked why we were not informed of this this morning, the agent had absolutely no answer or reassurance for us. They just said we have to wait.

This is entirely unacceptable for an insurance company that charges us more than €800 a year with the promise of roadside assistance, replacement vehicles, and support whenever we need it. When Mafalda was selling us this deal, the document you provided expressly showed roadside support in Spain, as well as all other European countries, and many many more. So where is this support? Where is this roadside assistance? Why are we not being kept informed of our case?

I think what has happened is that Allainz doesn't know how to deal with this, so they have just left us stranded in the middle of rural Spain, with no support and no help whatsoever. We are running out of food, the nearest town, as I said, is 1 hour walk. I was supposed to be having a birthday weekend, instead it turned into a nightmare. All because Allianz is entirely incompetent and unable to deliver the service they have offered.

So where does this leave us? Because I would like my money back and compensation for a wasted holiday. I would also like a formal apology. And i would really like everyone to know about this and never ever ever book insurance that is in any way connected to Allianz Portugal.

Unfortunately

Unfortunately, my experience with Allianz Portugal has been very disappointing. The insurance package includes more services on paper than what is actually covered in practice.

For example, when I visited the Germano de Sousa laboratory, I was told that the tests would be cheaper without insurance than with it. This raises serious concerns about the real benefits of having the policy.

Another major issue was the initial refusal to cover my daughter’s treatment. The insurance company cited a diagnosis that was not covered, but in reality, the diagnosis was completely different. After a month of persistent efforts and multiple attempts to get a fair resolution, I was finally able to secure the payment for her treatment.

I hope Allianz takes this feedback seriously and improves their customer service to prevent similar issues in the future.

Terrible service and no 3 year safe driving discount offered

I have lived in Portugal for over 3 years - I moved here from the US.

I am not a golden visa expat, but a retired man who moved here to live in peace in a peaceful country.

My first major purchase was an almost new auto 3 + years ago and the dealer advised I use Allianz for insurance - I purchased the best complete coverage.

Each year Allianz raised my premium even as I had no incidents or claims.

This year Allianz raised my premium an amount that seemed exorbitant to me given my exemplary driving record and no claims experience - and when asking them about this in email and receiving no bonus discount for my clean driving record Allianz basically said we need to be profitable and if you don't like it we don't care.

As part of discovery about auto insurance in Portugal I learned that there is a Portuguese car insurances system of No-Claims Bonus (Prémio Bonus Malus) for good drivers who haven't had an accident for three years from the beginning of the time when they start their policy.

Allianz never offered this to me and my only rational way to explain this is it seems Allianz understood it needed to reward my 3 years safe and no claims driving experience with a significantly lower premium but instead spiked my annual premium which I now believe was intentional to drive me to look for an alternative.

I have asked Allianz and their ombudsman service about this in email but have no reply to date.

In the only way I understand to be helpful in suggesting ways Allianz could improve based on my 3 year experience I offer the alternative I found that is such a different experience than Allianz.

The terrible customer service was a blessing in disguise because I was led to Abbeygate Insurance.

I now have the same complete insurance package and at a price way better - let me say that again - way better than Allianz.

Price is always important but so is "Customer Service" and what a difference in the service I am receiving from Abbeygate.

Emails are returned right away - phone calls are returned right away - WhatsApp replies are received right away. This is much different than my former business experience that took days to get replies to emails - phone calls were never returned.

And in English - as much as I am working to learn Portuguese I do "need" English especially for documents, which Abbeygate provides in such detail.

I am so impressed and pleased with Abbeygate.

I see from reviews of the larger Allianz corporate offices in other countries that customers seem better satisfied and offer more positive reviews than I can based on my direct experience.

So my experience to be clear is only with Allianz auto insurance in Portugal.
