Pretty straightforward
Pretty straightforward. Premium was quite competitive: not the cheapest but very good value for a reputable company. Opting for Silver cover made sense.
Room for improvement: the excesses are fairly steep (£500 tot) considering we are a retired couple precisely at the time of life when you are fit and clear of mind, but not likely to be racing (especially with a car such as this!).
All in all a positive experience.

We purchased a car today
We purchased a car today, the app wouldn't change our registration, after several attempts the app wouldn't do it, contacting Allianz was an absolute joke, we had to pay over £45 to get cover for 3 days until we can get them to sort, we bought the car at 10am this morning, it's now 6:30pm and still you have not contacted us

Straight forward purchase.
It did not demand a mobile phone number halfway through the purchase process. Make it very difficult to get past the help bot and make the ridiculous excuse that it was necessary for two factor protection, particularly when they offered more expensive insurance without a mobile phone number. In other words a more straight forward approach to providing a service.

I’d give zero stars if I could
I’d give zero stars if I could. Today I bought a new car - went online to change my policy details and despite logging in on three different devices I was unable to complete the process. Their ‘chat’ was a bot who when asked to put me through to an agent said they were all busy. For 2 hrs this happened until I finally gave up - cancelled my policy and went with another provider. Shocking - now I have only 30 mins to drive back to the garage to collect my car. What should have been a painless experience was dreadful
