I was left without accommodation the night before my. Wife's Funeral ceremony. No access code unless I paid an extra £100 Security fee to the owner. I declined as I paid my Bill in full via PayPa... See more

Ignore the one star
Ignore the one star, I wouldnt even give it no stars. We trusted this company and they have totally thrown that away. Me and my best friend went to Venice for a long weekend and we were forced to move hotel on the first night due to inappropriate comments made my the staff at the hotel even after acting like they needed to move us to a different hotel because the “scaffolding” they didn’t have… the hotel was in perfect condition with no faults, when we walked to the “sister hotel” it was a closed down abandoned one which wasn’t even on the maps anymore. We refused to stay and moved to the back again no even connected to the hotel where we originally were. After paying for a different hotel and reporting this back to Agoda they done nothing to help us redeem the money we lost and if it wasn’t for us moving we wouldn’t be here right now. Cannot tell anyone enough to not go through to Agoda and especially not stay at hotel Antigua Panada !
WARNING!!!
WARNING!!! Do NOT use agoda.com!! They are a dishonest company and will take your money! I wanted to them zero stars but couldn’t.
Fake AGODA job scam
I didn’t book a holiday but I was scammed out of 4000 usdt
Stupidly I was approached by a lady who said they worked for Robert half and put me in communication with a lady named Eliana who works for ‘Agoda’.
I’ve contacted agoda who said it’s scam. But basically these scammers pay people to do fake 5 star reviews for attractions. I put money into there site and and ended up losing a lot of money.
I’m not sure if this is real which I doubt, haven’t had much luck speaking to anyone from the company properly. I definitely should have been smarter but I’m depressed and have no idea where to go.
No customer service, stay away!!!
No customer service, no contact us or so on the website. How the hell are we going to contact them??
It would be zero if possible!
It would be zero if possible!
Horrendous company. Customer service awful.
After waiting over a month still no refund. Asking for bank statements, even though a pdf copy of transaction provided all of there info requested.
Numerous different personnel replying. They don't look through history of what's happened.
Do not use!!!
Perfectly established Online(corporate) money launderers.
I would be glad to give something even lesser than 1star.. it was my 1st exp with Agoda and it was that bad, trust me.. I did a hotel booking in chennai, TN, INDIA and when i walked into the hotel and gave the ID proof the hotel had a separate policy(which was not mentioned anywhere while booking) with which they declined and demanded for additional documents. So, I had to opt fr other hotel and when reached for the refund of booking over calls - I couldnt reach them forever (always in queue for 30 mins and hungs) .. wrote some 5 seperate emails to customer service and follow up notes within 10 days.. 0 replies in return.. Imagine that good is their customer service. Lost 3.5K INR to these scumbags..
Better choice is Makemytrip and Tripadvisor - atleast from my past experience.
Pity there isn't a 0* option - DO NOT USE
Pity there isn't a 0* option - DO NOT USE, its not worth the risk!
We booked a room for £200 in Dublin & when we got there, the hotel had no record of it. Agoda were no help at all. We ended up having to drive home - 100 miles up the road at the end of a long day. Sickening! Agoda is a total conn - good luck to them in jail
TERRIBLE
TERRIBLE - Called to change dates for a fully refundable reservation for two rooms. Spent 90min mostly on hold and ended up with rooms on two different nights and held as none refundable. The absolute worst service and customer care I have experience in 30+yrs of travel
Made a booking with Agoda
Made a booking with Agoda, got the confirmation and took our money.
I arrived at the hotel with my 2 small children and there was no booking and no rooms available. The hotel said they deal only with Booking and don't know Agoda and they never got any confirmation with our names.
I sent an email to them and I got a silly reply on one line. Sent a few other emails, but they never replied, they stole the money. More than the money, the stress with small children and no place to sleep. Agoda destroyed our holidays. The people at the hotel did their best.
We were victims of fraud by Agoda. 1 month later and 6 emails and still no reply
Wonky But Ultimately Worth It
Agoda was able to beat Priceline, Hotwire, and the other booking sites on price by quite a bit after factoring in taxes and fees. From what I can tell they charge little or no fees, plus have great promo codes and bonuses for future bookings.
The app works fine but if anything goes wrong with your booking, things can get dicey. Calling customer support often results in their automated system hanging up on you or not recognizing your booking ID number. Once you do reach a live person, somewhere in Asia, the phone connection is terrible, the agent's accent thick, and you'll have to endure considerable background noise from other agents. It's slower but using email is a less frustrating means of dealing with Agoda customer support.
Despite all my frustrations of dealing with customer support, in the end, Agoda has gone above and beyond what any other booking site has ever done and refunded my payment on non-cancellable reservations in which either I or their system had made an error in booking.
I RECCOMEND YOU DON'T USE AGODA
I RECCOMEND YOU DON'T USE AGODA. polite on the phone but wont actually do what they are supposed to do!
I need a refund as the hotel I booked had a fire and closed .. you would think it would be simple but they still wont refund me. Now I have the hassle of contacting my bank to recover the money.
The most unreliable website
The most unreliable website. It never keeps the promises made during bookings. Should never book any hotel from this website
I will Never use agoda again
I will Never use agoda! They cancelled my booking, sent me 2 emails saying it's been cancelled, so I booked elsewhere, they or their system created another booking, and charged me for it (a couple of days later ) When enquiring why I've been charged, they said they would refund within 30 days, now they are refusing to refund me saying I made a second booking, why would I rebook if they have already told me they cant honour it? Customer service send me standard templates as an answer or play they doesn’t understand and every email is answered by another agent , it’s terrible 😢 still not have my money back!!!!
RIP OFF MERCHANTS
DO NOT USE AGODA!
Booked a one night stay for my wife and child in the Lake District. The price given on the Agoda website was for 3 people to stay including dinner and breakfast for a guaranteed price of £212.96 . Upon reporting to the hotel I was told that my son was not not included in the booking and was subsequently charged an extra £65 for him to be accommodated and fed. I've tried countless time to reclaim this charge from Agoda due to the price guarantee they offered and after weeks of chasing they finally told me that I'm liable for the charge.
There was a mistake in syncing the Agoda website with the property management system
We reserved a double room with a quiet zone as a special request for two nights on the Agoda website. However, the Agoda website sent information to them that I booked an accessible room and didn't send any note to property, the property offered us a double room with accessible near to the road. I attempted to contact Agoda, but received a response four hours later stating that there was a mistake in syncing the Agoda website with the property management system. However, they never offered any alternatives to assist me, just stating that an accessible room is larger than a regular room. I replied them but no response until this time. So I have no choice to stay in the room that I haven't chosen.
The point is I didn't want the accessible room and the bathroom weren't designed for us. Importantly,I just need the room that quiet enough. The property can changed the room for me but only the same type of room which is an accessible room only. The layout of the accessible room is in the same (next to the road), just the different floor. So it didn't help me anymore. If we would like to change to the double room without window, we must pay an additional 10 pounds.
Using Agoda has been a poor experience forever. So bear in mind that you can get the room that you haven't paid on it.
Never use agoda!
Dont use agoda, they cancelled my booking, sent me an email saying it's been cancelled, so I booked elsewhere, they or their system created another booking, and charged me for it (after a week, on the day of 'the booking'). When enquiring why I've been charged, they said they would refund within 30 days, now they are refusing to refund me saying I made a second booking, why would I rebook if they have already told me they cant honour it? Customer service is appalling.
DO NOT USE THIS AGENT UNDER ANY…
DO NOT USE THIS AGENT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!
I searched for accommodation in Vancouver Canada - while I was IN Canada. I needed a room with two beds for two people. I chose Agoda as they advertised the best price for the chosen property. Once I processed the transaction, my credit card company advised me of an international transaction in USD. I booked this stay while in Canada, for a Canadian property and with a Canadian credit card. Regardless, the transaction was quoted in USD - with no indication that it was not in local currency. Additionally, the booking confirmation was for a single room and for a single occupant! When reaching out to Agoda, they said their policy is strictly no refunds and no changes regardless of the circumstances. After many fruitless attempts at communication with Agoda, I was finally able to sort something out with the hotel directly. What a stressful and unnecessary experience. DO NOT USE!
