I attended a 1 week, on-site PRINCE2 course through my employer. The first part of the course was geared towards the Foundation exam. The trainer delivered a good mix of PRINCE2 theory spiced with examples from his working life and from previous course participants. We also practised exam papers which meant there were no surprises during the exam.

The second part of the week was preparing for the Practitioner exam which involved intensive work on exam technique and topic revision. The exam tips paid off as during the exam I felt I was able to concentrate on working out the correct answer rather than 'how' to answer.

And I passed the exams, so that has to be the final seal of approval!

My experience of Advantage Learning and the PRINCE2 course was very positive. Advantage Learning provided pre course material as well as continued help and advice which was invaluable. Our trainer had an excellent knowledge of PRINCE2, he kept us fully engaged for the whole course, drawing on his own experiences to demonstate what we were learning. Overall it was an enjoyable experience.

Our trainer Stephen was really engaging and friendly, and very positive throughout the week. The work was well-paced with a good ratio of group exercises.

I booked my PRINCE2 Re-registration with Advantage Learning in July 2015 and they were a pleasure to deal with from start to end. They were keen to help and very reliable pre-course, and during the course everything went very well. The trainer, Steven, was one of the most knowledgeable trainers I've ever met. I felt welcomed to the course which wasn't easy considering I only needed to join the class for the past 2 days. I passed my exam with flying colours and I'm so pleased! My experience with Advantage Learning was excellent right from the start. Booking onto the course was easy and efficient, the pre-course contact and training materials were top class, and the training itself was brilliant. Our trainer was organised, personable, and approachable - he knew the course inside out and was happy to spend as much time as was needed going over the material. It is a tricky exam, but he made it seem much more reasonable!

Got everything what was expected from the course... Steven (trainer) has experience and full knowledge of the subject which he taught in organised and friendly way. Plus you get all the information (tips and skills) to help you pass the exam.

I took the Better Business Cases Foundation and Practitioner training with Advantage Learning.

The trainer Colin was extremely knowledgeable and had lots of good techniques and tips to help us logically remember the key content of the course.

The training manual was OK, some elements could do with restructuring and some of the visuals just could not be made sense of, so these should be reviewed.

It is a difficult course to deliver though as because this is a relatively new course there are still some teething issues with the Green Book Guidance, which has some contradictions within it and is a very dry book with little in the way of visuals or diagrams. There is also very little structure as to how this can be practically applied, with information dotted around all over the place. So Advantage have done the best they can with guidance that still needs some more thought and development.

Communication with Advantage Learning both before and after the course was good, with quick responses to any queries and proactive notifications as to what we should expect and when in terms of course materials being delivered and course results being processed.

Overall I would recommend Advantage Learning and would use them for other courses in the future. The training was delivered at a conference room in a central London hotel and was very comfortable, with food and drink provided which was a lovely bonus.

The course was well structured and presented. Our tutor (Ray) explained the concepts well and included interesting examples and group exercised to help us grasp the new material.

While the course gave me a good understanding of Agile within a Prince 2 organisation - the exam was far to subjective (often there were several right answers and we were asked to pick the 'most right' or we were asked to pick the best of 4 wrong responses to a scenario). The exam didn't really allow us to demonstrate our understanding of the course.

It was an intensive course but done in a relaxed atmosphere. Great tutor, very knowledgable, who answered questions at any time and managed the different speeds of learning of each candidate well. Humour made things easier to learn and remember.

The course booklet was really useful and comprehensive.

The communication in booking the course was quick and efficient, as was the speed of getting the results.

Excellent customer service, proactive dealing with enquiries. There were very understanding when I couldn't attend training due to work commitment.

In terms of training itself, good content, the quality of revised training material are better compare to previous. Fantastic trainer, very knowledgable in different topic and that made huge different to general discussion in the class room. Good venue! Thoroughly enjoy it, definitely I will recommend it.

Trainer was excellent, very focused and knowledgable, professional delivery - a fully enjoyable course

Prince2 can seem complex and full of jargon and not usable in the 'real world'. Steven, our trainer had an incredible knowledge of prince as both a trainer and in using it to manage real projects. The syllabus, slides and pace were well suited to the mixed group and included a range of group and single exercises to reinforce the learning.

The training built up daily, with nightly and morning summaries and reviews to go over before moving to the next topic. It was clear, easy to understand and made to feel usable, scalable and makes sense.

I would have no hesitation in recommending advantage learning to deliver your prince, Msp, mop, agile or benefits training.

I would definitely recommend the PRINCE2 course run by Advantage Learning. Firstly their tutor, Steven, was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and engaging which makes the difference on such a long and difficult week. Secondly the handouts and practice questions were thorough and the breakout sessions enabled discussion in groups.

Steven managed to pull together a complicated subject and by the end of the week I think I actually enjoyed the course. I’m glad I don’t need to go through it again but I would recommend it to anyone wanting to know more detail about Project Management.

Excellent course material, trainer and support

This course helped me to pass the challenging Prince2 Agile exam. The course by Advantage Learning was well structured with lots of interaction and practical examples and the home work helped to put the knowledge into perspective for the exam. The course brings together Agile concepts and shows how they fit with the stages and roles in Prince2. This is for Agile projects and not for Agile as BAU. Well worth doing if you need to use Agile in projects.

Knowledgeable, practical and understandable training delivery.

It was a great experience. The sign up process was easy and people from Advantage Learning were very polite and always available to discuss via email or over the phone to explain the process and answer questions.

The PRINCE2 pre-course manual arrived at my house well in advance giving me sufficient time to read and prepare. The venue the course took place was Glasgow's Novotel hotel. The classroom was very bright and clean, there were several coffee/tea and snack breaks as well as a lunch break. All of very good quality.

Finally, and I left the best for last, it's the tutor, Steven Gardiner. He was simply put, amazing. He managed to go through the entire manual in only 4 days (the 5th was the final exam) and managed to make complicated terms, comprehensible.

English is not my first language and yet I passed the test, and I can safely say it is thanks to Steven's method of delivering the material. He was very supportive through the entire process and I could not be happier and luckier to have had him as a tutor.

Shortly after the the exam, I received an email letting me know that I passed along with the grade. A few days later, I received my certification again via email.

I had a great week in training with Advantage on the Prince2 project management method. The instructor (Julie) was very knowledgeable and related the material to real work well. The practice exams were very helpful in determining areas for further review and to give some confidence that I was on the right track.

This course was jammed packed with great information.
Julie broke it down into manageable sets of information, reviewed and reinforced in a logical practical manner and set us up for success.
She managed and balanced the personalities in the room and gave adequate time and attention to questions.
She shared her extensive experience to bring theory to practice in an interesting and concrete way.
Definitely recommend!

I'm really glad I did all the suggested pre-course work as recommended, since the pace of the course is very fast and there were some very late nights during the course doing homework. However my instructor was brilliant, his delivery was excellent and he kept the mood light with humorous real life examples of the application of PRINCE2. He certainly knew his stuff and expertly built up our confidence throughout the week and had us all in a confident (and calm !) mood for the Practitioner exam.
