None of my paystub info has ever been provided. The app simply says that the paystub will be in the box on the screen after first payment. They do not talk to individuals so there is no way for me to get this corrected.

What a frustrating typical ignorant company... press the help button, more questions that don't work. The password they send you on the phone is so delayed it has expired! You call the help line, you get no where but pissed off and frustrated with their automated service ONLY!
So to my surprise they actually answered this. Called my employer to verify. It worked for one day! next day, same thing, doesn't matter if I say current employer or past, it goes round and round. How am I suppose to be able to get documents in the future?? Do I need to download every document and pay stub because ADP won't give you past access??? and DO NOT REPLY emails, phone number that's automated useless, all other attempts don't work! Still frustrating company!

I hadn't checked ADP for a long time, they closed the account because of that. Signed up again. Tried to log in, they sent a code to the mobile app which I don't have or need. Tried to load the mobile app on my phone, didn't work. Back and forth, back and forth. I HATE ADP! IT SUCKS HARD. SHOVE YOUR MOBILE APP UP YOUR MOBILE ASS.

ADP is extremely frustrating to deal with. It’s almost impossible to reach a real person, and when you finally do—after waiting 30+ minutes—the representative often cannot communicate clearly in English. This is unacceptable for a company that handles my 401(k) and my money.
I honestly don’t understand how ADP runs payroll for so many companies while providing such poor customer service. Very disappointed.
Awful awful company. Trustpilot reviews say it all.

Tragic. As a HR practitioner, please for the love of your sanity I highly recommend avoiding ADP if you can. Their support is terrible with wishy washy, generic dead-end responses e.g. to call their support team (who in the past have hung up on me after I asked for my request to be escalated), and the functionality of basically every area of the system is awful compared to literally every other HRIS I have used. I've been using this system for about 1.5-2 years now.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Used them from 4/25 to 12/25. Worst experience I have ever encountered with a company. They cost me money. I was so tired of them not filing my withholding taxes, I called the IRS and just paid the fines to get rid of the problem. My accountant has taken over payroll for me as she was doing all the work (calling, emailing ADP) to try to help fix their mistakes.
I think I lost 5 years off my life from the absolute chaotic mess I had to deal with for 9 months with this company! Nightmare from H3LL!

Absolutely useless. Impossible to look at payslips, takes a huge amount of time to log in, only for it to throw you back out after 1 second. PLEASE DON'T USE! Archaic systems from twenty years ago are substantially better than this. In all of my experiences attempting to use a payslip/HR system (twenty years) this is the worst.

The payroll processing is fine. As long as you don't need any help from anyone at ADP , it works. If you need assistance, either from your account rep or because of a tax notice, good luck. There are very few people able or willing to actually think about what is happening and help you. They hire people who have never done payroll to somehow help you with payroll. The last person we had was a recent college graduate who had majored in Sports Medicine. They seem to be saving money by hiring people who can't do the job, especially in the Tax Department. The Tax Department people do not read the documentation they are sent, and they just ignore anythng they don't understand.

ADP retirement has simple been the worst company to deal with . Please do not get there service, it’s expensive and not worth the service and when you try to cancel this account , they make it a nightmare to try to cancel , reps are not trained enough to deal with this service . Its been a nightmare is all I can say!!

Awful customer service! Stay FAR away from this terrible company called ADP! They do not give a damn about you or your company OR your employees! The example for today. Two weeks ago, I asked them to produce an ROE for an employee that had to take medical leave. TWO WEEKS LATER!!! Still nothing from them. I asked why this was not done. The response was " I don't know". So disappointing but not unexpected. I am terminating ADP as a payroll provider. Because it is a useless company with customer service representatives that are barely able to speak english. And I regularaly need them to repeat themselves as I have no idea what they are saying. In fact, on a previous phone call. I had to ask them to repeat themselves so many times that they got frustrated AND HUNG UP ON ME!!! If I could give negative stars, that's what ADP deserves.

The ever pay me on time short me 4 every single time. They don't update my info so they make it hard for to even access my account or even make one thiefs basically it's sad because I got bright instawork which makes it harder for me is like they know I'm at a shelter n yet they continue to steal my currency n delay it making it very difficult for me to trust that I will get paid for working hard and I cannot trust that I will get paid in full they lie so much and it's mostly when I work through the instawork app and for the renos sparks Aramark convention center

I am a certified HR Manager who stepped into my role during a period of company transition, with limited handover from the previous incumbent. Given this context, our top managers worked directly with ADP to ensure proper training and setup support would be provided.
Unfortunately, over the past three months, our experience with ADP has been consistently poor.
We were initially assured by a Senior Premier District Manager that training would be arranged. Instead, we were redirected to a Quality Assurance and Loyalty Analyst, who scheduled multiple calls that ultimately proved unproductive. These meetings appeared to be internal alignment discussions on ADP’s side rather than actual support or training for our team.
Basic system setup dragged on for months without resolution. Tasks that should be straightforward were unintuitive and difficult to complete. The platform itself is clunky, not user-friendly, and lacks basic usability features. Support was fragmented across departments, requiring long wait times and repeated explanations just to obtain a single answer or report.
Eventually, we decided to terminate our agreement and return to Payworks, which has been a significant improvement. However, ADP inaccurately recorded our reason for leaving as a “change in decision makers,” which was not true. The ongoing lack of support and inefficiencies were the primary drivers of our decision.
Offboarding was equally problematic. Despite being told ADP would manage ROEs and T4s, I was later instructed to locate raw CSV files without guidance, with no open support ticket and evident confusion from their own team. I was then advised that ROEs would need to be completed manually, line by line, despite having received no formal system training.
To top it off, weeks after our departure, ADP contacted us regarding a “missed payroll run,” unaware that we had already processed multiple payrolls with our new provider and that our service agreement had been terminated.
Overall, this has been the most disorganized payroll system and support experience I have encountered. There is little coordination between teams, minimal accountability, long wait times, and a lack of ownership throughout the customer lifecycle.
I do not recommend ADP. For organizations looking for a payroll system that functions effectively and provides reliable support, I strongly recommend considering alternatives such as Payworks.

I have been a customer for 33 years. They used to be great. No more. I recently closed my business, and in general, the process has been a nightmare. I've spent literally hours on hold this week just trying to pay a tax notice.

ADP are unable to give us our pay slips in a timely and acceptable manner even though they are legally obliged to do so. This has been ongoing since our company switched to them. 1 star only because you have to give 1. It should be more like minus 10. This company must be at this stage in breach of contract and are about as useful as tits on a bull.

ADP is the worst platform imaginable, when ever you want to access payslip the site fails, I don't know why anyone uses it
App and website are completely unreliable. On mobile it simply doesn’t work — I can’t access my payslip no matter how many times I reset the password. Verification codes arrive 20 minutes late (if at all), I had to try three times before getting confirmation that the password was “successfully” changed… and even then I still couldn’t log in.
This is a payroll app — basic access is the bare minimum, and it fails at that. Total waste of time and extremely frustrating.
ADP sends me an email about my W2, but I can't access it. I was terminated (retired) by Northrup Grumman this year, and ADP website shows that it can accommodate that. But, I put in all the necessary information. Its pretty simple, you can't screw it up, but it still says I can't be found. And ADP has no way to contact them. They obviously have my info, because they sent me an email. I've tried my user ID and password I've used the past many years. Didn't work. I tried the forgot ID route, the forgot password route. Nothing. Doesn't work. I tried the "my previous employer uses ADP" route. Doesn't work. So, ADP gets a 1. I'd give them a -10 if I could.

Why do so many employers use ADP? I have been force fed their bs for over a decade with a handful of employers. Every time ADP fails. The simplest of tasks prove unworthy of their expertise. It has gotten to the point that who handles the companies payroll should become an interview question, and if the answer is ADP I would get up and leave immediately. If a company uses ADP they do NOT care about you. Not even a little bit. There is no better way for any company to show you how disposable you really are than to outsource anything out to ADP. This year, all I need is my W2. That is it. They promised to email me when it came in, but they didn't. I accessed my account on my mobile phone. Could see my W2 was in but was unable to view it. I attempted to login on my laptop. My password didn't work. The same password I just used on my phone. So I changed my password. New password worked on my phone internet, but not on the laptop. I attempt their work around. Page 2 needs my phone number. I type it in and was told it was wrong. 3 times. Then I have them send me another link to change my password...you guessed it, to the number they said was incorrect. I tried 3 different browsers, cleared cache, set VPN, turned off VPN nothing. So I call them. Well I called a number and got an automated run around until they said they don't have actual people to talk to. Great customer service. Nothing says I care like a recording. Finally I decide to give their app a try, because I have nothing better to do with my afternoon right? Epic fail. It will not let me login. It doesn't say my login is incorrect, just thinks and then takes me back to the login screen. Now they want me to contact my previous employer to gain access. Can't bother ADP to fix their own mistakes. Now I have to contact my old manager so he can send me the correct number of the person in charge. But hey, ADP gets save on not having any real personal by making their clients clean up their mess. Get smart people and drop ADP.
