Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 99 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the customer service, finding it unresponsive, unhelpful, and difficult to reach a live representative. Customers frequently encountered issues with payments being rejected or blocked, often without clear explanations, making it impossible to use their cards for purchases. The website was also a source of frustration, with problems like failed sign-ups, non-functional password retrieval, and pages that would not load. Some people were dissatisfied with the lack of transparency regarding card acceptance, with many prepaid cards not working on major platforms or with common online retailers, leading to funds being inaccessible. Additionally, some customers reported issues with their personal details being capitalized, which prevented transactions, and experienced unexpected card blocks due to security checks without prior notification.

Total scam

If it was possible, I would rate this company a minus 100. Why on earth would a reputable company use them for any part of their business? DirectTV owes me a refund and they use this my payment vault group - worst customer experience ever. I did not want a prepaid card. I wanted a cash refund. They tell you to go online to their app and you can ACH the money to your bank account. Except their system never sends you the verification code you must have to move through the process. I tried countless times; called every customer service number online and on the card and no way to get to a person. I called DirectTV for them to say they no longer have control as the money was sent to my payment vault. I’m certain hundreds if not millions, give up and never get their money just for these people to keep it. Oh, and I was given an email address which I used and no one has replied. I won’t hold my breath.

I would give less than Zero stars if I could

I would give less than zero stars if I could. I believe this company is a scam company. I’m not sure why they are still in business. I received 10000 dollars worth of gift cards based on points I’ve been accumulating for years from my company. It has been the nightmare of my life trying to use these cards. They tell you the cards are good everywhere Mastercard is accepted, that is not true. Tried to use the cards to make a big purchase since they were about to expire the cards would not work. Was told the cards were damaged and needed to be reissued. I went though a lot of runaround and weeks of back and forth with their customer service before the cards would be reissued and in the nick of time too before the original cards expire. They also had an habit of locking my cards every time I try to use them and I would be forced to call them to get the cards reactivated. Any roadblock they can put in you way to keep you from using the cards, they will do it. Every time I try to log in online to check my balance it’s constantly makes me prove my identity and forces me to change my password every time I log in. I think their goal with these cards is to wear you down and make you give up on using the cards so they can expire and keep the money. Customer service is Zero and everything about this company is a Zero. I hope to never have the misfortune of dealing with them ever again.

Account randomly on hold

After getting a prepaid MasterCard and successfully using it on the first day, it disappeared on the second day. According to customer support (they were very nice and helpful actually) my account was on hold - out of the blue and for no reason. I received no email or any kind of message about this.
Also, their mobile app is terrible.

Cards with several limitations

I've received a certain amount of "money compensation" to be redeemed by means of the Gogift (Mypaymentvault) cards, without really knowing the various drawbacks behind.
1) Each card has a maximum capacity of 500€, therefore the original amount had to be split in several cards, making not possible purchases greater than 500€
2) Most critical point: the cards have several restrictions. In addition to not be used to withdraw money, they can´t be linked to Paypal/Revolut accounts, but still can be used for online or in shop purchases..They said! With big dissatisfaction, I realized they could not be used to purchase flights. The payment is always rejected after several tries and on several airlines companies
3) Customer service does not really exist. After contact via online form, the replies I got seems to be bot answers. Not sure if a human operator has ever read my concern, since they keep asking information already provided. I imagine that via telephone would not able to solve anything as well, also considering I should call an USA number from Europe..

Scam alert!!!

The worst customer service in the world. We are currently going back and forth with emails, chats, etc. I cannot access the account with the payment. In response they are telling me to do the things ON THE ACCOUNT I CANNOT LOG INTO.
It's a joke.
I am editing the review, because after another few days they'll sent me another email with not working reward. Also Irish Survey who is paying you through Payment Vault doesn't do anything. It looks like a one big scam.
Stay away!!!

I wish I could give a 0

I wish I could give a 0. I am unable to access my account and have been trying to get help for almost a week. There is no way to speak to an actual person and it takes forever to get an email reply. They sent me a code to use that did not work and I have been emailing and calling to try to get help. It is absolutely ridiculous that you cannot speak to a person to deal with a card that has your money on it. I have never had a problem like this with any bank or credit card company. I have been trying to access these funds to transfer for over a week now.

You can be randomly selected to lock your card

Apparently, they can randomly select your gift card to be checked for security measures by flagging your account for fraud, and lock your gift card. Your account will be locked for 5 days after you call in and report it and they help you. Even after answering their questions and confirming your transactions you have to wait 5 days. I was told this by a rep when it happened to me.

Received a $100 virtual gift card from my job. The card is stewarded by mypaymentvault.com. Activated it and used it for a small $6 purchase at my cafeteria with no trouble. A week later I try to use it again at the same place for same amount but this time transaction is declined. I try to check on the card online and receive a message saying due to account status I cannot access the card information. So I call and was first told they suspected fraud and locked the card. I pointed out that I used the card once successfully and then attempted to use it again at the same place, so which transaction was suspected fraud? If I can confirm the transaction can the card be unlocked? The rep then told me actually you were randomly selected. After I finish answering their questions, they can unlock my gift card after 5 days. I asked to escalate the issue to a manager. The rep says there is no manager. I ask to speak to someone else. The rep says there is no one else. I ask for a phone number to headquarters so I can escalate. You guessed it, There is no phone number. I do not recommend gift cards from this place. My purchase was done at the business that gave me the card in the first place, so I feel that this "fraud" flag is ridiculous. I can't imagine what it is like to have an actual bank or credit card account with them in the event that you have an issue. There is no manager? Unacceptable!

Avoid My Payment Vault at All Costs – Feels Like a Total Scam

If I could give zero stars, I would. My Payment Vault is one of the worst payment platforms I have ever encountered, and dealing with their so-called "support" team has been an absolute nightmare.

Our cards were fraudulently used, and trying to get help from them has been like pulling teeth. No one knows what they are doing, and every interaction with their support team leads to more confusion. They contradict each other, provide misleading information, and ultimately offer no real resolution. It honestly feels like they are deliberately making it difficult to resolve issues—perhaps hoping people will just give up.

This service is so poorly run that I can’t believe they are still in business. Their complete lack of accountability and basic customer service makes them seem more like scammers than a legitimate financial service provider.

If you’re considering using My Payment Vault—DON’T. Save yourself the frustration and potential financial loss.

Absolutely disgraceful. Stay far, far away.

Worst virtual payment site i have ever…

Worst virtual payment site i have ever had the misfortune of dealing with! Unfortunately it is the only option to get paid from a site I do surveys for. Every single time I get the notification email from them that my payment is here (in the form of a token) that I have to login to their page to claim, it takes over an hour of dealing with their "support" team on the phone, and half of them don't know how to fix the problem. I was told today I have to wait 3-4 business days while they "escalate" the matter to find out what's wrong! They send an email after I login and try to claim my token, saying they need to verify me?! (didn't you just do that with my username and password???) then they send another email saying click here to verify, and that link ALWAYS errors out saying they have detected I was "redirected from another page or search engine"??? No I was redirected from THEIR EMAIL!!! and it sends you back to the main login page. So you can never "verify" yourself (after you have successfully logged in!!!) Stupid setup!!! Almost seems like they want you to give up and let them keep your money.

It feels like a scam!

It feels like a scam!
I got a gift card and tried to use it. The card was declined. I tried to login again but the email address added by who gave me the gift card was wrong, so I’ve been stuck in a endless email tread (more of a monologue, as I need to send multiple emails to receive generic responses) and cannot solve my issue or use the money.

Charging for replacing card

I hope I can give zero star. The card I received doesn't work well. It worked occasionally at couple places, but most of the time, it doesn't work! I called mypaymentvault and ask for replacing the card. But they charge for the replacing. All the cards I have so far, mypaymentvault is the only one charges for card replacing. If you are unlucky and received a bad card, you will need to pay...

Also when I set password on mypaymentvault, I keep failing on it because I used special character, such as '*' and '@'. Issue was gone after I removed these characters. But I began to have concern on security...

do not use!
I tried to redeem and I got prompted to send over my identity and was sent a token that does not work.
When I contacted them they keep sending me repeated auto-generated emails about verification of my identity which I had already done.
Then I was told to create an account first and try to add the token which also did not work.
Then I was told to try multiple devices, clear browser cache etc etc which also did not fix the issue.
Now I am stuck in this loop of sending them support request and get responded with another auto-generated email which tells me the exact same thing.

Mixed feelings

Mixed feelings. I don't think this is a scam at all, it's just reeeeeeally badly operated and I'd advise anyone reading this to just not bother.

From what I can tell, Amazon purchases will not work at all.... Something to do with CVV verification at checkout.
Got a purchase to work on AliExpress somehow.... It was initially declined, so I messed around with my details to make sure everything matched exactly and it worked after a few attempts.

This is just not the experience people expect with a pre-paid card. Customer support is lacking too. Very nonchalant attitudes and long wait times.

I don't know if the back end is overly secure or just badly implemented, but either way, if it's hit and miss whether you can spend money, it's not worth it.
