Worst gift card experience

Worst gift card experience. To verify transaction I'm inputting OTP code and after it's asking second verification which of the options is my recent transactions. Answer is none of them so it's a real pain to shop.

Scam

Scam. Received a gift card from my company. Unable to use it. Called in the hotline to verify address. After verification, was told it's not complete?! And they cannot continue to activate the card. No help given and the customer service is absolutely horrible.

This transaction cannot be processed.

I received a credit from my job. Card not accepted when attempting to purchase on Bandcamp. The messasge, This transaction cannot be processed. Please try a different card, or use PayPal to complete your purchase. The payment shows as authorised but it was blocked, Transaction Blocking. I read a few other reviews to see if it was just me, unfortunately not. If I knew this, I would not have chosen the card and got something else.

I want to give negative stars if I can

I want to give negative stars if I can. this company sucks. I am surprised they are still in business. they make it impossible to use my card. I called multiple times but they cant fix the problem. such a waste of time. useless dumb company.

Stay away to safe your sanity

Anyone in the UK - stay away! Wish i had read the reviews before i redeemed my thankbox collection for a prepaid mastercard. It was hell trying to spend it - got blocked by all retailers I tried (and it was many!) - including Boots, Lidl, petshops,... in store and online. Also couldnt link to paypal or wise. Finally, after studying all reviews I managed to buy Amazon giftcards. It took multiple tries and I had changed my address to all caps (which is what someone else found helped). Not sure what made it work in the end but it did after a lot of tries. Maybe this helps someone else who fell into the trap.

Total Scam in Europe

Total Scam in Europe. Might work in US but no retailers in Europe take it either online or physical.
the ONLY exception to this is Amazon. which in itself raises eyebrows if there is some deal going on between them both. Work handed out these cards to loads of staff and no one could use them with the exception of Amazon so they got about 30k out of us!

I’ve had an extremely frustrating…

I’ve had an extremely frustrating experience with MyPaymentVault. Every single payment I attempted was declined, with no clear explanation provided. I reached out to customer service multiple times, and not only were they unhelpful, but they also failed to answer any of my questions. It felt like I was being completely ignored.

To make things worse, if you receive a gift card from them, don’t get your hopes up—it’s basically useless. You’ll just end up wasting your time trying to get it to work.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.

Had 2 prepaid cards and had no end of…

Had 2 prepaid cards and had no end of trouble trying to spend them. Managed to spend my £20 after numerous emails backwards and forwards and blocked card. The 2nd one they keep saying it’s because I’m buying a gift card (I bought one with my other card eventually! And from the same company!)

Trying for days to use my other card, Amazon have looked into it and they say it’s definitely not their end, I keep getting told it’s me putting the details in wrong (it definitely isn’t) still waiting to spend it. I wouldn’t bother using them at all! Awful!

My Payment Vault suspects me for fraud

I am using My Payment Vault to redeem awards from my employer. Yesterday I created a card in My Payment Vault, but the payment done with it was repeatedly declined by the merchant. I called the merchant and also the payment mediator passing the payment to the merchant. Both of them found no issues. My prepaid card was no more visible in My Payment Vault. Asked online help, they said I am suspected for fraud, and they are investigating it which will take 3-5 business days. The card suddenly appears in My Payment Vault this morning and the payment was successful. My advice is never use My Payment Vault.

Mypaymentvault is a nightmare

Mypaymentvault is a nightmare. They did KYC checks on my account without any heads-up, and now I'm locked out of using my card for up to five business days. Terrible communication and zero transparency. Never again!

Shady company that offers prepaid…

Shady company that offers prepaid Mastercards that are not accepted on any of the big platforms (Google Wallet, Paypal,...). Customer servide is very poor and they do not offer a solution except: 'you should not use the card with Google Wallet of Paypal'. It's nowhere in the FAQ-section on their website that it can not be used on these platforms, altough all of the reviews here state similar problems. The company is very aware of this problem, but the prefer one-off customers not redeeming their money before the expiration date of the card, rather then returning customers. Stay away from this company!

Stay clear

Please stay clear. Incredibly poor customer service, can’t access my money, continually blocked payments, told I keep entering the details wrong and problems at the merchants end. Won’t say which retailers will accept their pre paid Mastercards.

Don't recommend prepaid master card from mistplay

I got a pre paid card off Mistplay. I have tried to redeem it on three different sites only to be declined. Did chat online. They won't transfer. Tell me the retailers aren't reading the card right and I have to wait 24 hours after they have unblocked the retailer. Did what they asked and no surprise still didn't work. 4th time contacting them and they said they after 40 minutes. Wish me luck but doubtful it will work.

Buying at major online stores doesn't work

Tried buying at Boots online (one of the most known drug stores in the UK). The payment was rejected twice. Atoya from customer service just said Boots rejected the payment without providing any other solutions other than "try again later" or "buy in another online shop"... I thought this payment method was available on any stores, especially the big ones. Should I not be able to choose where to buy rather than being suggested other stores?... such a weird suggestion.

Bug bugs and more bugs

Tried to create an account after activating a gift card. First, who requires usernames these days? Email addresses are the typical username. What is this a '90s video game? Next, the password requirements are stupid. Modern password requirements should be at least one uppercase, one number, and one special character. The site is literally forcing to me to be less secure by refusing special characters in my password. The grand finally is that I can't log in with the credentials I literally just created. Wow. Just. Wow. It goes without saying that the password retrieval form doesn't work. I was hoping to transfer my balance to my bank account. Not going to happen, apparently. Luckily, the stupid gift card did get activated and, since I knew the amount, I was able to reload my Amazon gift card balance with it. Sheesh. Gift cards suck!
