Refused to Provide Legal Invoice

I booked a flight through BudgetAir and requested a proper invoice for my business expense reporting. BudgetAir repeatedly responded that, as an "online travel agency," they are unable to provide an official invoice and instead offered only a "payment overview." They claim this document is sufficient and cannot be modified to include invoice details.

This is incorrect. Under Dutch and EU law, all sellers of goods or services—including online travel agencies—are legally required to issue a valid invoice upon request. The invoice must contain specific information such as a unique invoice number, the company’s KvK number, VAT identification (if applicable), invoice date, and a clear description of the service provided.

Despite my detailed explanations and references to official Dutch tax authority guidelines, BudgetAir refused to comply and insisted their payment overview was enough. This document does not meet the legal standards for invoicing and is not accepted by accounting departments for reimbursement purposes.

BudgetAir’s refusal to provide a compliant invoice disregards consumer rights and legal obligations. If you require proper documentation for your purchase, be aware that BudgetAir may not provide it, despite continued communication and requests.

Bought a ADO Air 20, great after sale customer experience

Bought a ADO Air 20, pre-launch. Bike was sent to me around estimated launch time. I absolutely love the bike.

Since I bought the bike I damaged a part, the bracket that connects the disc brake caliper no the rear to the bike frame, and it is not a universal part that I could find online. I reached out to ADO via the facebook community, and they responded already the next day that they will send a new part. I told them I would pay for it because it was my own fault it got damaged but they were kind enough to just send the replacement part free of charge.

Pleasantly surpirsed

I was a little hesitant to use this webshop, because these reviews here doesn't exactly shine birght. However, I decided to take my chance I ordered a very heavy item. Less than 20 hours after I placed the order, a guy in a truck is outside my house with the heavy item on a pallet. He even moved it all the way to my front door on a pallet mover, I believe he was from postNL but I'm not sure, maybe an affiliate of postNL. Anyway, VERY happy with everything. Also got the invoice sent as PDF, as I asked for in less than 1 day after purchase. I will definitely use this company next time I need something, that they sell at a lower price than the competitors - which was the case for this purchase. about 10% cheaper on this particular item.

Do not pick this company!

Here's how they operate:

1. They raise parices yearly.
2. They remove benefints that you explicitly chose to pay extra for.
3. You still pay extra - even though you lost the allowance you paid extra for.
4. They inform you about such changes by sending a 21 page pdf written in cryptic legal terminologi policy language.
5. They ignore customer serviec inquries.

6. This is general... you cannot change insurance company whenever you want, only once per year 31st December. This puts them in an incredible powerful postion to screw you over for an entire year, should you fail to realize that they changed your policy, and that the price is now far from competitive. This company puts an honor in taking advantage of this privilege - they do NOT work in YOUR intrest.

This basically means that every single citizen has to review and understand the massive policy every single year to make sure they are covered according to their need and are paying a reasonable price for that coverage. I thought there were EU laws in place to protect consumers against this kind of screwtiny.

Beste Rasmus, we vinden het spijtig om te lezen dat je niet tevreden bent met de manier waarop de communicatie is verlopen.

Worked out as expected

Worked out as expected. No BS got my game immediately and was able to activate on steam very easily. Also accepted AMEX which diverted from from buying from a different site 1 minute earlier, as they didn't accept my card.
