Do not use Green Motion or Argus Car…

Do not use Green Motion or Argus Car Hire for Glasgow airport car hire! We booked thro Argus who subcontracted to Green Motion.

They wouldn’t give us the car we had paid for as they wouldn’t accept a visa credit card for the deposit despite it being one of the 2 types they listed on pre hire documents as accepted and it met all their requirements. They wanted us to pay cash and to triple the charge of the rental cost!

They wouldn’t refund us the £350 car hire we paid when booking. This is a scam! I’ve requested a refund through Argus complaints but no response.

We had to return to the airport and hire a car from a reputable dealer. TERRIBLE way to start a holiday.

We had the exact documents requested and exact card requested and met all criteria for the hire.

In addition, the Green Motion Glasgow experience was pretty rough:
The shuttle bus pick up point isn’t labelled and it’s not as it’s described in the booking

The shuttle bus is a grubby mini bus.

The depot isn’t with all the other car hire placers, you’re taken to a rough industrial estate and the company have a tiny unit that feels like a dodgy mot centre.

The place is filthy - you’re dropped off in a dirty gutter with your bags (properly filthy, dead birds and vomit!) and this is where you have to wait with your bags whilst trying to hire the car.

EDIT - the credit card WAS AND IS in the name of the main driver! There was only one driver and the credit card is in their name (my husband) and we also had a credit card in my name.

Edit 2: I booked the car through Argus car hire in my name and within 2 mins of booking added the main driver name as my husband and all his driving details were added - mine were not, I was never listed as a driver. All these is recorded through email confirmation with Argus and is also on your system.

Edit - the main driver was my husband and all emails were addressed to him? But we also had a credit card in my name and your desk didn’t ask for it - they didn’t once say that this was what they needed. Please stop falsifying reasons.

We are very sorry to hear that you were not able to rent with us on this occasion. After reviewing our records, it seems that you did not have a credit card in your name. I understand that you are in communication with our UK head office, who will continue to discuss your case with you. However, you will need to provide evidence of a credit card in the name of the main driver, which is yourself. Unfortunately, the card you provided evidence of is not in your name.

Update - Thank you for your update. Unfortunately, we must confirm that the booking was not made in the name of your husband, but your name. Due to legal reasons, we are not able to amend the name of the main driver at the rental desk for any bookings made through a third-party website. Therefore, we could not serve the rental if you intended for your husband to be the driver. Our location team have advised that you did not provide a valid credit card in your name. Thank you for your understanding.

Update - Thank you for your update. Our UK head office have advised that they have emailed you requesting further information for their investigation. We kindly ask that you respond to this so that we can resolve your case. Thank you for your assistance.

You’re left in a dirty gutter with your bags (properly filthy, dead birds and vomit!) and then told you can’t have the car because (even tho you’ve already paid) they won’t take your current account bank card or Amex or the Visa card we also had - all of which had plenty of funds on them! We’ve had to trek back to the airport and are now hiring a car from a reputable dealer. TERRIBLE way to start a holiday. Haven’t been refunded - website says we won’t be refunded so currently £350 down in Glasgow airport with kids waiting to start a holiday and no clear way of being refunded.

Edit - we had 2 valid credit cards in the main drivers name.

EDIT - GM, we provided all required documents and valid credit cards exactly as outlined in your contract. This was a mistake on the part of your staff I'm afraid.

Argus - i have submitted two complaint tickets through your booking manager system as advised by you via email. Neither have been acknowledged or responded to. Please let me know how to get a refund.

Firstly, I would like to offer my sincere apologies for this issue that you experienced. I can only imagine the stress and frustration that it caused you and it is not the service that we expect for our customers.

Unfortunately, to pick up the car, suppliers have different requirements to what type of cards can be used to block the deposit amount. these requirements were also given to you before selecting the car on our website in a section called "important information". In order to confirm the booking, you would need to indicate to us that you have read and accepted these conditions by ticking the appropriate box. Also, we do send an email called "travel reminder/checklist" close to the pick-up date where we advise again to check the mandatory documents and their requirements.

I am very sorry that we are unable to provide the solution you were hoping for on this occasion. I trust that you can understand our position on this matter.

Don’t answer emails or respond to claims

I made a claim 2 months ago and haven’t had any response from Many Pets. I’ve followed up with emails to 2 different email addresses and called several times but there is no answer. And yet they’re still charging me monthly and sending auto emails asking for me to rate how great they are!

Bought a phone through Phones 2 Pounds on eBay. It was faulty so they told me to return it through a link they sent. I did so and they haven't refunded me even though I've contacted them repeatedly for 6 months.

Useless and expensive

Took my cat to Norbury easipet as he had been nauseous and possibly in pain. Expected a quick check up and some advice. The young, inexperienced vet unnecessarily sedated him to take bloods (he’s alway had bloods taken without issue at his usual vets) which left him groggy and confused for 24 hours. They then charged me £600 for the sedation and blood test without any warning!!. I left without any clearer explanation of what was wrong with him other than ‘his bloods are clear’. When I pushed for a reason why he was unwell the vet said ‘maybe it’s a heart issue - this will be untreatable’. She then tried to get me to book him into a very expensive heart scan despite there being no apparent benefit. I’m booking him into our normal vet next week. Avoid this vet surgery.

my order has finally arrived and almost…

UPDATE;
The sales director of bathshack contacted me yesterday and gave me exceptional customer service. The company are issuing a full refund and investigating their processes. Very impressed and would buy from them again if they are able to improve their customer service provision as he has described.

my order has finally arrived and almost every tile is damaged. I have a tiler coming tomorrow so I will have to buy alternative tiles. Bathshack please let me know how you will organise a full refund as I can’t get hold of you by email or phone.
they were badly wrapped and packaged so were guaranteed to break and then handled badly by courier who dumped them at side of the road.

I can see your order was placed on the 8th December and from the conversation you had with Mark that arrived with you yesterday. I am sorry that the items were not delivered intact.

The delivery of the items to the UK is handled by a 3rd party courier and from the details explained by you, they have not been delivered in the packaging that they originally left our warehouse in.

Mark has scheduled a further call back for later this afternoon so that we can resolve the issue completely.
