Review of Pure Pet Food

I’ve was sceptical but…

I’ve was sceptical about this food but it’s been amazing. Both my dogs went through phases of starting to leave kibble after eating it for a while. I would change flavours and brands but after a few weeks food was getting left.

I tried Pure after an offer was given and over 12 months later my dogs are still wolfing down their food the moment it is put down.

Over the past 12 months their coats are glossy and soft. Another advantage I find is my boy has to have supplements mixed into his food and with us making this to the consistency we want the supplements are mixed in easily.

Another plus for us is the size of the bags for the volume of food. One bag lasts over a week for both dogs, and as a result a bag in out campervan doesn’t take up anywhere near the space kibble or meat trays would.

I would highly recommend as my two, who can be fussy with dog food continue to enjoy it over a year later. I think the price point is really good for the quality of the food. Deliveries have been consistent with food coming well packaged. The added bonus last week of a birthday card and gift for my girl was an extra touch.

Review of Energie Fitness

Energie Fitness, Tunstall - Back to its best!

I have been going to Energie Fitness in Tunstall for a few years and this is not my first review, with previous reviews being negative due to the poor management and treatment we were witnessing of staff and member.

However I felt I needed to update my review following the removal of the area manager as the gym has returned to being the place it was when I first joined with the staff no longer being treated appallingly which has bought the fun and happiness back that sadly dwindled over time, even with staff, we loved and who left returning.

I give a lot of credit to Elliott who is Fitness Manager, but is actually the only manager so acts more in the General Manager capacity. Elliott has been at the gym, through all the good and bad, starting as an apprentice and he really shines in this role. He knows the members, knows what we like and need and goes above and beyond to ensure all the little things that had fell out of sorts have been put back to how they were.

The gym is back to being a community, and I've never been in a gym that makes you feel so welcomed by staff and members. I miss when I don't go as I miss the laughs and chats that comes from the classes.

The staff are fantastic - they do an amazing job at making classes enjoyable and fun (don't tell them this though) and do it with a smile despite us moaning and winging throughout!

The gym has really turned itself around and is once again a place you want to be... the owner should be grateful for the Team that has achieved this as at one point I worried that the gym wouldn't survive with all the unhappiness that was being created by one person, that was allowed to remain in post despite numerous negitive reviews and safety concerns being highlighted and posted.

Well done to the Team for making this gym feel like a community again and somewhere you want to be! Elliott you are smashing it, and I'm really proud of you and how far you've come!

I wouldn't even give 1 star...

I took Pet insurance out and 11 months into my policy my boy was diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia. Prior to the diagnosis he needed an x-ray which I requested pre-authorisation for which I did online.

Two week later I had heard nothing so called and was told that they don't do pre-authorisation as it was less than £1,000, no contact from them to advise me of this after I submitted and waited.

I booked my boy in and x-ray and medication was completed.

I updated my claim with invoices and waited to hear back. My vet submitted the past medical history and I was told claims were processed and money would be back in my account in 10 working days if sucessful.

After the 10 days I called for an update, they confirmed they had recieved all they needed from my vet and would begin to process the claim. I advised them that this should have been completed, which they then agreed this had been missed and would urgently ask this to be reviewed.

I continued to call and was told the claim was sucessful and was awaiting payment. Nearly 3 weeks have passed and I've not had any money back. I've been calling and chasing every few days to be told that there is a technical error and they would send an urgent message. I've been promised call backs yet nobody ever bothers.

Finally however the error after speaking to a Supervisor was resolved and I recieved confirming payment was on its way, however instead of the £199 excess deduction they took £287. On calling to confirm this I was told because the claim went over 2 policies they retained my initial consultation fee and first lot of meds fee as that didn't meet the excess charge. At no point over the past however many weeks has anyone made that clear to me, the reason the x-ray was delayed was because I was waiting their pre-authorisation which they never responded to taking my into my following policy. I even asked when I called as the policy renewed whether not knowing my boy had any issues if this was effect my renewal quote or policy for not declaring something and I was told this would be fine!

After speaking with the Supervisor who seemed geniunely concerned about what I had been through offered £100 compensation for the delay in my claim so was disgusted that 2 hours later that money was in effect taken back.

I have financially struggled without that money which I made them aware of as I was informed the money would be back the start of the month. I've had no money and as a result suffered series health consequences and needed paramedics which could have resulted in me loosing my life or having serious neurological defecits, all because this company do not follow their own outlined processes and timeframes.

I feel trapped now as with my boy having a condition I can't change policies so will be stuck with this inadequate insurance company with no alternative and I can't risk having no insurance knowing at some point my boy may require a double hip replacement!

Absolutely awful - no way of tracking or progressing a claim without phoning them, you speak to people who promise the world and none of them do what they said - I could put 1 person down to forgetfulness or inexperience but the volume of staff who have promised call backs and updates and haven't bothered it's clearly a culture issue with Admiral.

I will not be buying any other insurance product from them!

All change... for the worse!

For a long time, I loved this gym, the members and the staff were fantastic, all kind and caring and it was a proper little community. Then there was new area manager that has destroyed the place.

On reading the reviews on here I'm concerned and shocked by the appointment of the Area Manager who has fractured relationships with the members. Staff who we loved have felt they have had no choice but to leave, with members following in their footsteps.

Classes are cancelled with no notice, and members booked on get no warning so turn up to be sent home.

As described in other reviews from Wolverhampton the same thing is now happening in Tunstall. Why anyone would be promoted to managing 2 gyms with the reviews on here as they are is unbelievable and the behaviours demonstrated are concerning, especially when you learn of the reasons for his criminal conviction, yet they are continuing but now in 2 locations. I cannot believe somebody with a record such as it is, has been put to manage another gym, creating a toxic culture where members feel harassed and unsafe.

As others have mentioned members cannot contact anyone higher to report concerns... we need access to somebody in Corporate. I know the gyms are franchised but it is their name over the door!

Such as shame that after being a member for so long, feeling so supported and safe can be destroyed in no time with the complete wrong appointment of an area manager who clearly should be dismissed rather than promoted!

Great item at a fantastic price

Great item at a fantastic price. Delivery was quick and communication was excellent. Mirror was packaged really well and protected. Fills the space perfectly!! Would definitely use again and will be my first port of call in future! Highly recommend!

Review of Grass Direct

Easy to order

After doing a lot of research I placed my order with Grass Direct as these seem to offer great value, choice and price. Reviews were good.

I was unsure on what type to go with a found a shop was local to us. The staff member wasn’t particularly helpful - didn’t come over or approach us. They did have the range laid out neatly so we could choose what we needed and I came home and placed the order online.

The website was easy to navigate around and the hints and tips made sure I had every I needed.

Delivery was a quick and the driver was really helpful and friendly. Great notifications for delivery arriving too.

Excited to enjoy my garden without the fear of mud and dirt getting in the house!!

LOVE Vinted!

LOVE Vinted and this is my go to. I think the thought of second hand things came with a degree of snobbery but actually the items I’ve ordered have been in good condition and to me are treated like I’ve bought them brand new, because they are new to me!!

One of my favourite things about Vinted is my favourite leather jacket I’d had for years no longer fits so on the off chance I searched on here and found the exact same one in a bigger size for £20… in turn I sold my smaller one for the same!! What shop could you swap your sizes when you’ve been wearing it for years!!
