Rob dear Rob, you don't get it.

I think this could be a really good things but unfourtnately, it's managed by Rob. I attended some events through Meetup orgnaised by Rob years back and he was always "unrealiable". I bougt tickets (1 female) on Groupon and it says requires reservastion but resversation on Groupon is blocked and when you try booking on their website, your voucher isn't accepted so you have to email Rob & team which I did giving the event I wanted to attend. Rob got back to me straight away asking for my voucher which I gave him but I never heard from the human again. on the day, I emailed to say I'd not heard anything so I was assuming I wasn't on the list and asked for my voucher not to be redeemed. If you don't wan to honour Groupon vouchers then why promote your business through Groupon? When I saw that Rob was the organiser, I though I give him another try, I expected him to have grown since but no, he hasn't. So now I get to loose my money.

This review is anonymous, so at present we have no idea who you are or which booking you are referring to.

The Groupon redemption process is clearly explained. Customers are required to email us to redeem their voucher. If Groupon says reservation is required but booking is blocked on their platform, that is precisely because redemption is handled directly by us, as stated in the instructions.

Based on your own review, we replied to you straight away and asked for your voucher code. That does not support your claim that you were ignored. It is just as likely that you were being added to the event and the voucher code was being requested to complete the process.

Your comments about me being “unreliable” are also very odd given that you chose to book with us again. If your previous experience was really that bad, it is strange that you returned.

In any case, no money has been lost. If you did not attend and your Groupon voucher was not used, we can review the matter and potentially transfer you to another event. But we will need your actual details before we can investigate anonymous accusations.

Send us your Groupon code, the event requested, and the email address used, and we will check it.

Madness

I'm supposed to validate my car when I go to my gym outside certain hours, I didn't know this so rightly got fined £100 reduced to £60 if paid within a certain time. I appealed saying I was a genuine customer, first time, they "didn't" get my evidence so I put in another with the same evidence. They then said based on the evidence (of me being a genuine customer and attending the gym at said time) I'd have to pay £20 because the fine was still "issued correctly". Sorry, what? If it's issued correctly then why shouldn't I pay the reduced cost of £60? Could it be £20 because as a "genuine customer" I shouldn't be liable to any fine? I've now been referred to debt collectors, well, see you court! It may sound really stupid but I'd rather pay £500 because a judge says so than £170 because UKPC says so. COURT it is

FALSE ADVERT/PROMISES

I've normally found better deals on moneysupermarket which is great but my frustration is with the rewards program. I'm happy not getting rewarded, just don't make me think I'm getting a better deal because I'll get £10 cashback then you don't give me the £10. It's not about the money but rather the principles. My £15 disappeared, apparently I claimed it but I never got it! I got a Tesco credit card, it said £10 back, I never got it, contacted moneysupermarket, you chat with Finn, no £10. I've just bought pet insurance, supposed to be £10 cashback, nothing. It pays up to 60 days later which is cool but shouldn't it be "pending"? Absolute insult, so misleading. So far, moneysupermarket "owes" me £35. I only got my £15 for content insurance.

PARKING ISSUES

South Ruislip brunch, really lovely, modern equiptment, cleand but on the day on induction, I wasn't told about parking and £100 parking fine has just landed on my door! The parking is free but restricted late evenings 9.30 to early morning 7.30, I only saw free parking for 3 hours and missed the small prints! You enter your car reg within restricted hours at the gym to get "free parking", this MUST be part of the induction, how else should we know this with the big free parking sign and next to nothing stated restriction? £100? Please, note parking at all inductions, that's my one week's shopping bucks!

The car park is operated by a third party company in which we do not have any affiliation with. Therefore, we are unfortunately unable to cancel such tickets. Information regarding parking is available on the home page of any PureGym which offers parking. The correct parking procedures must be followed, to avoid a parking ticket. We would always advise that you appeal the fine and explain the circumstances. If you get in touch with Member Services, we can also provide you with an appeal document which will be an official letter from PureGym Head Office, stating that you are a member of PureGym and your attendance log for the date in question, will also be provided as proof to show you were in the gym. If your appeal is rejected, we would suggest submitting a case with POPLA. POPLA are an independent appeals process which works with the Ombudsman Service. They investigate whether this fine was issued correctly in accordance with the terms and condition of the car park; whilst reviewing evidence provided in the appeal. On the rejection notice, there should be a 10-digit verification code, and you will then be able to submit an appeal with POPLA via their website: http://www.popla.co.uk/poplaappealprocess. Although we cannot guarantee they will cancel the fine, we do hope for a positive outcome. Thanks, PureGym.

The Pretty Woman Traders

WLMG Eascote.
I wanted an electric MG4 so I went in since this branch is close to me. I visited on 16th Aug or just about and we talked about MG4 SE vs Trophy and I settled for Trophy, however the car was in their Reading branch, it was to be collected for me to test drive on 20th. I called in on the 19th to see if I could go a day earlier, I was told that the car had gone to someone else, fair enough, shouldn't I have been informed? We agreed I test drive the SE even though I wanted the Trophy, I did the test drive and the rep was to send me some figures on the 19th Aug, I've never got it! I've never met sales rep who are this unprofessional. What makes a sales rep think someone isn't worthy of a sale? They asked for my budget, I said I didn't have a budget, I was happy whatever way. I've now ordered a brand new MG4 Trophy Long from some other place.
Big mistake. Big mistake.

Account closed after 1 day.

someone gave me a link, I was to open an account, send money (£10), I get £10 back they get £20 so I went for it (having got loads of money through referral on Topcash back). I opened an account, sent over £50, no £10 for me, no £20 for them. Don't get me wrong, it's NOT about the £10, it's about principles! If you say you're going to something, DO it. If you are not going to do it, don't promise. I called first time and I was told it'll appear when I next send money, I next try send money, nothing. I called and I was told no referral is noted on my account so what link did you give? I asked for my account to be deleted becasue I'd clearly joined based on false trading, the agent hanged up on me. I called again, waited for over 20mins and I've been promised that my account will be deleted as soon as possible.
Terrible customer service, I call about 9, recorded message that their offices was closed and opens from 10. I called at 10:10 recorded message that their office "is now closed and it opens at 10" but it's after 10!!! My second transfer was just over £21 and the transfer fee was £0.99 I sent it via Sendwave (my usual people) for free.

Best for beginners, amazing app

Robinhood has made the world of stocks and shares very accessible. Their app is so straightfoward, easy to navigate and the customer care is excellent, they stop you from buying or selling when they think it's not in your best interest. Transering funds is super-easy, the app's layout, you can easily find what you are looking. Definately the best app for starters, my 70yo mum is rocking it and she's only just started.

So far NOT good

So far, I don't like it! I'm new to investing, started with Robinhood but wanted to try UK company due to certain advantages.
I registered with my 1st and last names (as on my bank details) they recorded my full names including middle as per my driving licence meaning I can't link my bank account because the names don't match!
212 is so not user friendly, simple things that should be clearly displayed are a task to find. Unlike Robinhood, 212 app doesn't lock so if someone access your phone then...so far, I don't like it, too complicated for beginners I'll stick with Robinhood 80% then 212 20%

Absolute joke

I'm furious and utterly appalled by Genesis Estate Planning. The typos, missed instructions, spellings unbelievable and totally unacceptable. I called using my work phone, gave them my personal number but my work phone (which I never mentioned) was recorded and used for contact, why? I've given you a different number, why are you using a number I used but never gave you? My middle name despite me writing in down on a form was constanstly spelt wrong. I said it over the phone and wrote it in one of the forms I filled out but in my draft, it's still spelt wrongly. My son's name? Which I wrote down? Spelt with a small a (it's a name and names start with capital letters). I left money to my church, I told them the address but on my so called Will? The vicar's address is used, the church and the vicarage are two different things and places. There was restriction on one of my gifts, was it included in my Will? NO. What happens when I die? I said what I wanted but there was very strict condition, was this mentioned in my Will? NO! Something I never said nor dreamt of was included instead. What's the point of me making a Will that doesn't respect one's wishes? And the gift I left to my friend and family? Genis decided to devide it half half betweeen the husband and wife but my instruction? It's to the them never half half. Honestly, I'm beyond pissed off. This ought to be a joke! And they have all these information about me, my saving, life insurence, etc etc. Are they even real or just out to collect people's data? Fortunately, I got them through Groupon so paid a few £s for it but it's not worth anything. Go for them if you want to get upset and waste your time. The lack of professionalsim and care is just unbelievable. I've had two prior Wills all with Groupon vouchers so it's not about the vouchers but rather that this company is just totally useless. It goes without saying that this so called Will business with Gensis ends here.

From my previous reviews, when I left British Gas, they owed me nearly £200 which I chased and chased. I got an email saying my final bill was ready, looked at bank account, nothing from British Gas. I called and was told that when I left in Jan, my Feb bill was £216+ in credit HOWEVER I was in debit in Dec 21 and Dec 23 and my final bill? I now owe British Gas £60+
Debt of 2021 actioned in 2025, what if I wasn't leaving? How long was this debt going to remain unaddressed?
So I've gone from British Gas owing me £216+ in Feb to me owing them £60+ a few pennies in April.. I never judge a company by how big they are, I've had better experiences with the other smaller companies

Confused by the so many different prices

I've just made a booking with Vio, it was nice and easy BUT I'm left scared and praying that my booking won't be cancelled like for other reviewers I've read. Why? Different prices for the same hotel at different places. Vio.com via trip advisor was cheaper than vio.com directly and violl.com via some other place. There may be a perfectly good business explanation and I'm all about searching for deals as long as i don't sleep on the streets. I'll update after my travels, fingers crossed

Edreams, the gift that keeps on giving! After leaving me stranded and refusing to give me the full refund for my mother's flight (airline gave full refund, they only gave me part of it, they "kept the discount" which I paid for) I called on both occasions and made it clear that I didn't want my membership auto renewed, I was told on both occasions that my membership wouldn't be renewed automatically. Today, I looked at my credit card transactions, Edreams have helped themselves to my money WITHOUT my consent (apparently I consented back in Feb 24 much as I asked not to be auto renewed in April and August). Seriously, this company is unbelievable.
Don't be fooled by the "cheap deals", you get the same if not cheaper directly from the airline and if you miss your flight, the airline can put you on another flight when booked directly with them, through Edreams, there's nothing they can do for you! Spare yourself the grief. Today, I was told that notes were added to my account in August that there would be no changes to my account, why then did I call? To complain and make no changes?

Supersave club, a scam?

Gives good quotes but is the supersave club a scam? I never got the reward I earned! I was supposed to get vouchers last Dec, I've not seen. If you are not giving me a reward, don't promise it! It's not about the money but rather principles. You say I'll get £10 back, give me the £10. If I'm not getting it, don't promise. False advertisements.

Don't give you back what they owe you

Not the cheapest but when they were the best at one point, I joined and customer service was terrible. Refused to sort out my smart meter. Things are worst since I left. They owe me about £200 and pay it back. I can't speak to anyone because my customer number isn't recognised anymore. Such a big company with end money holding on to someone's pennies, it can't just be me.
Unless you are rich, stay away. A single working woman like me needs those pennies.

Simple but nice gestures

Not used BA in a really long time but my recent experience was good. Less than an hour's flights to and from Brussels, Iwas really thirsty and thinking of buying water on board but I was pleasantly surprised! Spring water and brownies offered. Not much but something. That's all I needed, water and it was nice to get it for free. Comfortable seats, flights departed on time, all good. After paying hundreds of pounds, it's good to see someone willing to give you something back no matter how simple.

Nice

Nice, easy and friendly. Exit at Luton a little confusing. I'd have given 5 star but 2 taken off for the unprofessional driving on the way back from airport. He was on a call via bluetooth, echoing loudly in the bus. Feeling very uncomfortable, I asked if he could not have in a way that we could hear, he responded that it wasn't a personal call. Personal or work, sir, your customers DON'T need to hear it! Finished the 1st, made a 2nd asking for shift for the next day, still loudly echoing all over the bus. DISGRACEFUL! No matter your job title, being on duty means being professional.

Another source of unnecessary stress

Please don't buy anything from Groupon unless you either want stress or are 100% sure (which nobody ever is). I accidentally bought the same deal twice, tried asking for refund via app but it wasn't working. Called the numbers provided, not working. Desperate for my money, I emailed 3 days after purchase, I only got automated responses. The case was never looked into. Days later when discussing something else with Groupon, I mentioned this case and I was told it'd be passed to a supervisor who refused to refund because I'd apparently approached then 15 days after purchase. When I pointed the fact that I'd sent emails, my case was apparently going to be reviewed based on the emails.
Weeks later, have I got my refund? NO! Any communication regarding the matter? NO!
Groupon, I asked for refund 3 days after purchase, please give me my £22.46 back. It may be a small amount but it's my hard earned money!
Some good deals but customer service from Groupon makes them not worth it. I wanted a facial not stress!

Opodo, the company that hates bad reviews! They had my review removed because apparently it wasn't based on true/my experience.
Booked flight and hotel to Toronto, deal made to look "cheaper with prime" but was only a few ££ cheaper than other places so Prime not really worth unless you book during free trial. At least it was easy to cancel the free trial.
And yes, Opodo, this is based on my experience with you. Booking ref included this time.

A bunch of big liars!

A bunch of big liars!
After the free trial period and being really disappointed with the poor customer services I phoned to cancel the free trial but I was offered a year of prime membership for £20 which I took. A few days when in trouble, I contacted customer services for support, again same, old rubbish customer services!
Edreams also makes their "deals" looks much juicier than they are so they basically lie! I'm looking at a trip right now, BA flight, same flight directly from BA is £167.79. Via Kayak £165 BUT edreams shows it as £211.99 reduced to £161.44 with Prime membership! Who can't do the maths? Who needs a eye test? And who's the big, fat lair? The flight, edreams is £167.79 NOT £211.99 as claim it would cost without prime membership!

What a load of rubbish

What a load of rubbish! I tried booking a holiday to Toronto which wasn't being offered by my trusted provider, Onthebeach. Went through everything, my details, flights, hotel and I had to hold....don't refresh, don't use the back button and I waited and waited while they "processed" my holiday. 25 minutes later still waiting! SERIOUSLY??? I got off and went to bed. I will never bother again.
Holiday now booked through Opodo
