Poor customer service agent…

I have today looked on the savoy timber website and subsequently ordered some doors. I required expedited delivery for the doors as they require fitting this week. I read through the delivery and home delivery options finding an option for deliveries on orders made before 10.30, this option should be selected at checkout. If the delivery option isn't offered at checkout telephone for an express delivery quote. I completed the order and made a call to customer services. The call handler stated the company do not offer an express delivery, he didn't know why I thought they did. I explained it was on the web site reply "no it isn't " a little argument followed regarding lead times. I then took him through the website page by page to where it does state it reply " oh, we don't do that on doors"
I pointed out that it was misleading he replied " no its not" . I informed him that his attitude as a customer service agent was not very good he replied " yes it is" I asked for his name which he gave as Dave, the conversation went downhill from then and was terminated by him.
Please be aware all of the 6000 products are not avaliable as an express delivery option.
I have received a telephone call from Anthony who expressed his concerns over what had occurred. He has made an apology on behalf of the company and assured me the website will be looked at and corrected where necessary,which I was happy to accept.
I have had good previous experiences with this company and hope that this is a one off.

Its sll about the staff team

Its sll about the staff team . I have purchased alot of furniture from you at your store in Handforth Cheadle recently and i have to be honest if it wasnt for the guys that served us Mohammed & Haaroon and their frienfly nature and cant do enough to help ,i would have gone elsewhere . I also bought a suite from another retailer and didnt get the same experience and so wish i had bought from you.
I also have got to add the guys that delivered our furniture were amazing ,nothing was to much trouble .
Icreturned to your store yesterdsy snd purchased a shelving unit Haaroon served us and even though he had recently experienced trauma to his eye it didnt stop his welcoming attitude and again so so helpful .
I have told other people to go to your store for good quality furniture ,good after ssles but in particular the sales people ,these are the people who sell your products for you and i hope you recognise their worth .

Parcel was delivered

Parcel was delivered, but driver stated parcel was handed to resident, which it wasn't. No explanation as to where it had infact been left. The parcel was left outside in the rain overnight. I tracked driver using app, the app never actually showed the van moving to my address, so I actually went outside four times to meet with driver but still managed to miss them.

Great choice good quality furniture at good value.

We met Mohammed Shafique last week at your Handforth store ,he didnt pressure us which is something I hate ,but he was there with his knowledge and guidance.
We purchased a large dining table ,bench ,6 chairs ,6 bar stools and the Aphrodite 3 piece suite .
Mo was calm, easy going & funny which all helped with our experience.
Mo answered all our questions and went out of his way to support us .
In all my husband and i would shop at The Furniture village again I found the quality of your furniture really good .

Buyer beware

I booked for my family to stay in Formosa 60 at considerable cost, it is advertised as one of their 5 star villas, it most certainly wasn’t. The home is spacious, has plenty of pots and pans, has good sunsets, plenty of advertised amenities, and had enough beds to sleep our group.However, the home is poorly maintained and dirty. We had numerous issues starting on the day of our arrival, with maintenance man repairing a leak on the aircon unit. Yes , it was repaired but sounded like a jet engine when it fired up. A quick inspection as we unpacked, we found the home to be dirty, dusty, items including medication, pins and sweets ( candy) found on floors, down the side of beds, a tooth retainer in one of the bedrooms. One of the en-suite toilets had been disconnected and wouldn’t flush, we reconnected it and found it had been disconnected because it continually ran. During our holiday we had numerous issues with the home and maintenance were sent confirmed the issues reported, took photographs and stated work orders would be completed. One of the most serious issues being a child’s ground floor bedroom window which we reported as being broken actually fell into the bedroom onto the floor fortunately it didn’t injure anyone. This window had another work order and photographs taken but was not repaired. An adult had to sleep in the children’s room with them for security reasons. The pool continually drained below the skimmer levels and tiles and edging blocks fell into the pool and green slime and residue around the pool. Users of the pool complained of sore eyes.On our return home, four of my grandchildren had to receive medical attention due to ear infections and one for a skin infection. On the occasions pool inspections and repairs were made, they just blamed other pool guys who didn’t know what they were doing. I could go on with further information about this home, including cockroaches in the home, unkempt gardens, daylight could be seen through one of the patio doors in one of the master suites, flooding outside every time it rained,over loaded electrical sockets, sparking light switches, faulty pool warning buzzers, tripping electrics, exposed sockets and plug/power outlets actually in a child’s bed. All of which was documented and photographed evidence has been kept and is available to anyone who requires it. One of the maintenance guys informed me the villa is owned by the owner of the company and they have been told it is a money maker any repairs should be made at minimum expense. None of our complaints have been disputed by top villas or their managment company, we were offered compensation which worked out as less than I had paid for pool heat and 3 hours late checkout, but as part of this settlement I had to sign a non disclosure document, no reassurances that repairs would be completed or the property would be re inspected to ensure it is as advertised as it certainly isn’t at the 5 star advertised. I wonder how many other have accepted their compensation and failed to report this poor service.
In response to you reply, it is incorrect we notified the management on the day of our arrival the property was dirty and on every subsequent day the incidents occurred. We told to report it to Top villas by FVH stating it was not their responsibility. The pool was attended to and allegedly cleaned but the pool continued to drain below skimmers causing chemical in balances.

Top Villas first received your complaint in regards to the issues on August 6th, 11 days after your check in date. With regards to any issues, we advise that we are told immediately so we can best assist rectifying any problems found within the home.

Once Top Villas were made aware they worked with the property manager who advised that all the issues raised had been addressed during your time in the villa and the pool was cleaned on 5 separate occasions, including their regular visits which occur twice a week.

Further to this, Top Villas appreciate that your stay had been affected by the issues and continued to offer you a fair compensation offer for the frustration caused.

Once again we are sorry for the issues faced during your stay and if you would like to accept the compensation offer it is still available to you and your party.

This company only concerned with sales

This company only concerned with sales, will sell products they don't even have in stock. After I had problems with a washing machine last year, two family members have had problems with items paid for and not received at Christmas. Apparently items sold are not in stock but they were happy to take the money.
Been into branch but fobbed off by the manager who insisted it was not his problem. Buyer beware.

Poor experience and very expensive

We booked our staff Christmas party which was to include a Christmas Buffet and entry to the Nightclub after. The whole night was poorly organised with a lack of information and direction. The buffet was a basic hot buffet but insufficient for the numbers that had attended the venue as there were several other parties in attendance. The overall opinion was that the buffet was not worth the £35 per person fee. In addition to this a drinks package had been purchased, which the staff denied any knowledge, eventually someone confirmed it had been ordered, it was delivered one bottle missing from the order. The staff were poor and the facilities were also poor, the ladies toilet had no toilet paper, a party guest informed a staff member who disappeared presumably to get some never to be seen again. The guest then went into the gents and took some from there and took it upon themselves to hand out sheets of toilet roll to people who needed it. The overall cleaning of the premises was not really up to a standard that should be expected, a customer actually stuck to the bar. In addition, the drinks are day light ( night time )robbery, it was explained that the cheapest way to pay for some shots for our party of 17 was to buy a bottle, £92 for a bottle of Apple sourz ( £7.50 in Asda ), That was just an example, £10 for a bottle of beer, now I know there has to be a mark up but wow. I can not really recommend the venue and certainly will not be booking my companies work Christmas party at this premises again. It to us appeared that as we are not local or regulars we were treated differently to others. You live and learn.

I have been with this company for a…

I have been with this company for a couple of years maybe more, I have always just used them to renew my home and vehicle policies. I have never had to make a claim on any policy until recently, when I had to claim for a windscreen damaged by a bird strike. The claim was commenced via their portal using their recommended repairer. The repair has not been completed 6 weeks later. The call handler, after I eventually managed to find a contact number stated not their problem and I should contact my insurance company direct, after expressing my annoyance at the process the call handler who has been instructed to maintain the highest standards of customer service hung up. I feel I can not recommend this company, to contact them is very difficult, to navigate their website is difficult and some links don't work, I will find an alternative broker or deal direct in the future.

Poor service and correspondence.

I had a windscreen damaged by a bird strike whilst driving on the motorway on the 4th September. I arranged for a repair to be undertaken through my insurance company on the 5th September, pretty standard practice. An appointment was made for a technician to attend my home on the 12th September. Due to the damage sustained this appoint was to be at my home address, on the day of the appointment I was informed a technician would not be attending and I was asked to drive a centre for repair. After explaining my vehicle was too damaged to do so a second appointment was made for a home visit on the 15th September. The technician arrived and he apologised that he did not have all the parts to make the repair complete, but stated the part had been ordered, it would be a 2-minute job to fit and someone would call at my home in order to complete the repair. The technician replaced the windscreen and I had no issue with him. It is now the 29th September and the repair has still not been completed. I have emailed the company on three separate occasions, but nobody has had the decency to respond to me.

terrible service

terrible service, used a branch which showed stock as available paid for next day delivery. Nothing turned up, waited 4 days with no delivery. Contacted Toolstation via email only to receive an email 2 days later,so it was over a week to get an answer to a next day delivery, the email merely said due to stock issue your order was cancelled and you have been refunded. What was the point in checking availability first .pointless.

I am trying to get someone from your…

I am trying to get someone from your company to come out to look at the roman blinds i ordered. I have expressed my concerns over the plastic fittings not being strong enough to hold the weight of the heavy blinds .So now they have snapped and i cant use them.Also i have just received roller blinds from you they dont fit and the pull cord cannot be used as it is to short for the depth of the window.I have used your company so many times and found your service fast and good workmanship, i have referred you to other people who have used you, but this time i am upset and feel like no one is listening.
