I prepaid for a Hyundai i30 (or similar) via Booking.com for pickup at Athens Airport on 10 Aug 2025. On arrival there was no representative to meet me. When I eventually found the office, I was told my booking was cancelled because I was 2 hours late – a policy never disclosed to me.
Instead of the car I paid for, I was given a battered Nissan Note with 70,000 km, dents and scratches on every panel, torn seats, a rattling rear window, no USB/CarPlay, and air conditioning that barely worked in 35°C heat. Totally unsuitable for a long drive across Greece.
This was an appalling start to my holiday, causing stress and inconvenience. Customer service has been unhelpful, offering no immediate replacement or resolution.
I have rented cars worldwide for over 20 years, and this is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. Do not trust Green Motion!
