Mostly excellent

These sheets work very well in general and leave a pleasant smell. As with many other dishwasher products, they don't deal well with tea or coffee stains left in cups, but do cope with most other things.

Excellent service from Thomas at Elite Wine and Whisky

Thomas made the process of selling my cask very easy. We needed a wait of two or three months to ensure that the market was buoyant enough to guarantee me a decent return, but he was able to give clear and helpful advice during the process. The sale itself was incredibly easy; I received the funds into my account the same day that it was agreed. In due course I shall invest with this company again. Professional and reliable service from Thomas throughout.

Excellent gym

Excellent gym, with consistently helpful and friendly staff. I go mainly for the classes and always find them very useful - Gus’s are SO tough, but rewarding. Two things: the app never shows who is actually taking the class (which seems odd). And I’m the classes the music is often too loud so it’s impossible to hear what we are meant to do! But overall a huge thumbs up from me!

Excellent work from Harrison

Having had an outrageous rise in the price of Virgin Broadband I decided to look elsewhere. I spoke with the excellent and charming Harrison at Money Expert and he has got a deal at TalkTalk for half the Virgin price offering identical service. Very pleased with this. Virgin's appalling price rise way over inflation speaks so poorly of the company at a time when we are all worrying about the cost of living.

Worrying postage timings

I have placed an order on 14th December paying the postage for 3-5 days' arrival time and the system says that the order should arrive by 09/02/2021! I trust that this is a glitch on the website, but it's very off-putting and worrying as a new client.

Dreadful automated voice answering mortgage calls

This is a review of the utterly useless automated voice that answers the call (and also a niggle that on a Monday morning I had to wait 23 minutes on hold). The initial 'dialogue' was time consuming and because fo the lengthy sentences of the automated voice didn't allow quick and efficient start to the call. Moreover, it seemed incapable of hearing the numbers typed in on my iPhone. I like the Halifax as a company and have only ever had v good dealings with their staff but they really ought to sort out this useless system.

Plaudits for Kay and Greg.

I had a call with Kay inn the sales team. She was helping untangle a complicated issue following the death of my father and keeping the account running in my mother's name. Kay was superb: she knew precisely the best options to pursue and ensured that we are now on the best rate. She has a really friendly and sunny telephone manner and made the whole experience (on a Monday morning) much pleasanter than the drudgery it might otherwise have been. Quick thumbs up also to charming Greg (Grieg?) who took the initial call and helped sort out an issue with the electricity reading.
