I have a property that I've exclusively…

I have a property that I've exclusively rented through HomeAway for over 6 years and their attitude towards the property owners in this time is disgusting. I'm taking a massive amount of cancellations which is understandable but are they giving any leeway to manage the return payments - no. They are recommending though that for guests who are not in the refund period we offer to move dates, if that's not satisfactory return 50% of the money if then they still push refund 100%. Most of aren't sitting with months of full refunds plus our empty running costs - property taxes, electricity etc. Now they've decided to move to an AirBnB model so they now get to sit on the money for months/years so I've had to turn off Instant book as I can't manage on bookings where I see no money from them for 6-9 months so I'll take my chances with later bookings. So it's guests first, close second HomeAway, property owners zero.

No issue

Ok from the reviews and star rating I was a bit dubious about booking but decided to go ahead. One thing about the booking process I had gained from the reviews was to be careful about the extras meaning the flight price was higher. I paid what I had seen as I was just careful to opt out on insurance, luggage etc. In a nutshell I got what it said on the tin. Would I use them again yes.

Avoid

Really bad experience. The job was not done to a standard with parts now having to be redone. Absolutely no interest in any part of the job I was unhappy with. They refused to provide an invoice and then made multiple small payments against my credit card without my authorisation.

Can't stop fixing what isn't broken.

These people drive me crackers. No sooner have they sorted one thing out they create another stupid rule.

They told me I had to carry out a move to newer booking system with out telling me they would then control the cancellation periods. Without having a no refund policy the next time period is 60 days before arrival. I used to set it up for 90 days before arrival but this is no longer possible, at 90 days I could refill the dates at 60 days I usually can't. They've told me to set it up as a house rule but guests will see the overriding policy as no refund. Why they can't leave it for the owner to decide is beyond me.

On top of that they've added a calendar telling guests how long they've got left to cancel!

Horrific...

Horrific...

I've had issues ever since I joined them. I'm on the line to their terrible tech and customer service people at least one a month usually more. Tens of minutes on hold, employees that repeat everything you say ten times but resolve nothing. When you get off the phone you want to hurl your pc, lap top, ipad, yourself out of a window.

Everything takes 24-48 hours to get done.

Save yourselves, go somewhere else, even if it's steam driven internet.

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid...

Shocking, just completely shocking, gob smacking.

Terriible service, terrible staff, complete denial. On going disaster since I signed up with them. Lost total internet yesterday. Web full of how many people also lost connections. Iprimus knows nothing about this. They know nothing about the fact their phone number said this service didn't exist. I had to do a total modem reset but to reboot after 24 hours. No one could explain why this was needed either.

NEVER BUY A FLEX TICKET

NEVER BUY A FLEX TICKET - bought a flex ticket. Came to change it and Qantas wanted hundreds of dollars more. Forty minutes on hold (no surprise there) because they are having an usually high call volume (again no surprise there) I finally get a 'uman. Firstly when I told her that the waiting time was completely unacceptable and as it's always the case they need to hire more staff she refused to even say sorry for the wait. Reason why? It's not her fault.

Got through to her manager after she made me re-list every reason. His answer on the price increase was there were three categories of flex ticket and I'm on the cheapest. There was only one flex price when I booked it. Apparently it's buried in the terms & conditions font size 1.

After that and the unbelievably rude service in international business class I'm off to Virgin from now onwards for domestic flights even if that does mean a few months without a lounge. Then any other One World player for my long haul.

Apple have now managed to complicate …

Apple have now managed to complicate everything to a level that every time I move to one of their technological "advances" it becomes a nightmare. Decided to take the iCloud route entire desk top has disappeared now twice. I don't actually seem to be freeing up space... I think Apple should remember that people in their 40's are often the ones who can afford all their products.

My experience with this firm was just …

My experience with this firm was just unbelievable. A guest was advised to leave a bad review after Expressbnb messed up the booking. One guest turned up to find the place hadn't been cleaned at all. The keys started being left in key box outside however I wasn't actually told any of this until a guest informed me. I was then told "this works better for both of us"!

When I finished up with them they told me they wanted to collect their linen. I said that was no problem but to give me an itemised list so they could be given back their linen and not mine or my new firms. They were specifically told not to enter my house or the development it was in. They managed to enter my property by deception and remove items without notice or have another person present.

Getting support is nigh on impossible

In Australia and have a Netgear modem. Can't find a single phone numbe, it's all check our response board and see what our other users have asked i.e. cheap support.

Trying to enact a parent block and yet all I'm getting from Netgear is another page opening with each support option and no telephone number.

Not scammed at all.

Ok I may have been scammed here according to Trustpilot. Annoyingly whilst the Trustpilot reviews appear on the main web page they don't show up on the shopping page which where I went from for a local distributor.

So I'm starting with 4 stars - online ordering was a little annoying and i had to use a few different cards to get something to go through. One of my cards which wouldn't go through called me later that day to say they had concerns. Bit late!

Day 2 and still my order hasn't been shipped but got hold of customer service quite quickly and they said it would be shipped today and go by DHL.

So we are on 4 stars and will down grade or upgrade as we go along.

Ok so good as their word I have received a DHL tracking number. Shipment is traceable and delivery is likely to be Monday allowing for customs.

I have upgraded to 5 stars. Goods arrived at 10 am on the Monday morning so 6 days from order. They were as ordered and the right size. I'd definitely try this firm again after my experience.

CitiBank Australia about the worst banking experience on offer...

Firstly you'll never speak to anyone in Australia only the Philippines that'a after you navigated their blood boiling computer system. You'll know your account number because online having cleared security all your account info is blocked out! Whatever reason you'll have called for you'll give up before resolution if you didn't get cut off before then anyway.

Seems to go out of it's way to not actually talk to it's customers. Always a repetitive cycle of unrecognised security numbers and codes, then the endless on hold because they always have an exceptionally high call volume.

Love this firm - transfers are easy, efficient and cost effective. Recently though realised that I had made a transfer mistake and sent in the deal amount minus the transaction cost. Quick phone dealer amended for me and the money was in the relevant account same day.

Had problems with my 5-6 year old iMac and Apple have been fantastic... the support guys went through loads of fix's with me... got call backs over two days and I don't have a support/warranty agreement. This is customer service that all firms should strive for...

Where am I going to get a laptop from? Apple of course...

Rude, incompetent with added attitude

Gocardless/Yapstone provide a rude, slow and incompetent service.

Updated 11/8:

Another terrible customer servicer experience. I'm forced to use this company whose idea of customer service is to answer the questions that suit them or answer un-asked questions and then not to give you responses /answers on the parts you need to get assistance on.

Laughably I'll probably get a response telling me to contact their customer service for help!

You may think they are great for your company but when they treat your customers badly how do you think it will pan out?

This company is a disaster...

This is probably one of the most arrogant firms I have ever encountered...

Customer service in the Phillipines can't answer the most simple question without referral.
No manager or supervisors are ever available - always in a meeting or not taking calls.
Harasses potential guests with emails sent on your behalf.
Impossible to reconcile payments - and the payment dept are just rude, if you can get hold of them.
Complicate absolutely everything from listings to avg price.
Zero interest in anything relating to standards, customer care, problem solving or professionalism.
All they want is your money and to do the bare minimum to for it (mostly nothing).
