Delicious food, even better company

Had the best chilli/black pepper crab lunch at Homi Kitchen.

Been following Megan and Homi Kitchen on instagram for a while now and finally got the chance to try the chilli crab supper club. I asked Megan if we could bring our 3 year old along, noting that she wouldn't eat anything apart from perhaps plain rice. Megan replied "of course! we love children!" and then asked what my child liked to eat. I said she liked chicken, and on the day, Megan presented her with a serving of chicken rice. It's these little details that show Megan's sincerity and warmth towards her customers.

Communication with Megan was also effortless and straightforward.

The food was absolutely delicious - my favourite was the chilli crab; my husband's favourite was the vegetables ha!! There was heaps of food to go round, wtih leftovers to spare. I'm really excited to see what else Megan and Homi Kitchen come up with!

Super fuss free ticket swap

Needed to swap tickets for a different day and time. Filled in a web form and got a response within an hour. Made payment over the phone for a ticket swap fee and all good to go. Extremely easy to deal with - super helpful agents on email and over the phone. Thank you Lisa and Riana.

Left box in sun

Driver was rang the bell, left box of frozen dog food in the sun and was going to walk away…. To be fair to him, my dog was barking. But he was indoors….. I asked if he tended to just leave the parcel and walk away and he said it depends. I get it if the dog was running around the garden but mine was inside. Also he should’ve waited for me to come out and acknowledge it before leaving…

Will not order again

I ordered a bookshelf from Sklum - it looked beautiful on the website and to be fair, the design is indeed very pretty. After ordering, I decided to google Sklum reviews and stumbled upon thousands of negative reviews and got really nervous. I ordered on 6 Nov, and Sklum's website said "shipping in 5-6 days" which is pretty ambiguous because it could mean this product will ship from Spain in 5-6 days OR it will arrive with you in 5-6 days. When I checked out, I included a delivery note saying "please let me know asap when this will be delivered, as I do not live at the property it will be delivered to and have to make arrangements to be there."

Tracking information was very patchy but I did manage to find out that the package had left Spain on 12 Nov and arrived in the UK on 17 Nov. I received an email from Sklum on 17 Nov saying that the bookcase will reach me in 72 hours, and they provided a tracking number for their UK partner - UKMail. I had to google to find out UKMail was actually DHL. Keying in the tracking number proved futile as it kept saying "we cannot find your parcel".

On 18 Nov, I tried again and still the same thing happened. I tried calling DHL but it was hopeless as you don't even get to speak to a human being. At noon, I decided to refresh the Spanish tracking website and it said "out for delivery" from 9.57am. I thus had to cab down to the delivery location. The package was delivered at 2pm. And I felt so incredibly lucky it had been delivered (lol) - how can it be that a customer feels lucky to have something he/she ordered arriving??

Anyway I excitedly opened the package:
- wood laminate is torn
- metal legs chipped/dented
- wood pieces not glued together properly so there are gaps
- legs do not align
- cupboard door handles do not align
- instructions are awful. literally one sheet of A4 with no words and faded printed diagrammes. much, much worse than when I used to live in Hong Kong and ordered from some random Chinese sites that sold furniture for much cheaper than IKEA.

All in all, very poor workmanship, service and quality all round for £352. I will live with it, and I will not return it because I don't think I can deal with the hassle of the returns process that many have gone through before me. My husband will fix it with wood glue and I will look at the bookcase from afar.

I will not order anything massive/any substantial furniture from Sklum in future.

loads of stationery to choose from + brilliant service

i could never find uniball signo 0.38 pens in the uk until i came across cultpens!! was really pleased to find they do free delivery for a certain amount spent (the minimum was not hard to meet at all). pens arrived two days after placing order. even got a free pen thrown in.

It was easy shopping at boohoo - they really have a ton of nice stuff but I'm pretty broke so I only got 2 items but nevertheless I'm happy!!

The website's easy to navigate and delivery was prompt so no issues there at all. Will be back when I have more cash xx
