The opposite of helpful

I have a free unlocked account with a high credit rating but when contacted by the company that I am buying a car from, they failed to supply the required information resulting in my order being cancelled.
Impossible to contact Experian to ask why?

Have now established that the problem is due to Experian asking for a password when my account is unlocked

Too many BAD deliveries

My complaint isn't with the company as such but with deliveries. Despite leaving clear delivery instructions to ring the doorbell or to leave packages inside my enclosed porch if there is no answer, many of their drivers never read them or completely ignore them. Too often packages are dumped on the driveway in full view of the road even when its raining & claim package was "handed to resident" Why lie when they must see there is a Ring doorbell recording their every move.

Massive hike in premiums & unable to…

UPDATE Tesco insurance have sent me a letter which did not address my complaint in fact their standardised response, seems to prove that they have no explanation as to how two related same breed same sex neutered cats living identical lives within a cat protected garden, eating the same food & belonging to the same vet practice could result in a much higher renewal premium for the younger cat.
In my two years with Tescos I have never made a claim so I have no idea if this company is good or bad at paying out claims but based just on their massive hike in premiums & failure to properly answer my renewal premium queries, I would urge you to think carefully before taking out pet insurance policies with them.

2 cats same breed & same father one born Sept 2016 the other June 2017
2016 last year was £181.83 this year £278.88
2017 last year was £191.72 this year £294.72
No changes & no claims but cost increased by £200 and the younger cat's premiums were more expensive
On comparison website after inputting identical details for a new policy with Tesco, 2016 was only £225.24 and 2017 tumbled down to £197.76 from £294.72. How can this be fair?
it makes even less sense than the massive increase in the cost of renewal

Excellent equipment & helpful staff

We took our disabled adult son to the Caerphilly branch this afternoon where we were given a tour of the facilities by a member of staff. He was friendly, taking time to understand our son’s disability issues & advise us of how routines can be used to improve his health.
Another positive is that membership is monthly so as you are not tied into a lengthy contract, you can leave at any time.

Ring withholding refund

Dpd confirmed that their driver returned Doorbell to Ring on 14/10/24 but as Ring can’t find it, they are refusing to give me a refund until it turns up.
Daylight robbery!
Do not order products directly from Ring, order instead from Am.zon because if something goes wrong returns are usually straight forward. If you order from Ring they will hold you responsible for its loss not themselves or the courier & refuse a refund.

Update
Ring Logistics are still refusing to provide a refund even though they have lost the package but after 2hrs 30 mins of phone calls to Ring, a very helpful customer service agent is going to try to arrange a refund using invoices from other purchases in my account.

Great customer service

Late Tuesday evening after 8pm (3/9), our elderly Fluval Edge aquarium developed a serious leak. I immediately placed an order for a replacement & the new tank arrived lunchtime today (5/9), outstanding service. Complete Aquatics also gave me excellent advice on how to care for my fish until the new tank arrived for which I was very grateful.

Reliable company & competitively priced

Looking for a new supplier of Worlds Best Cat Litter as although a certain well known on line company is cheap I was fed up with the bags arriving damaged as they never packaged them, I thought I’d give Petshop a try. Excellent choice.
The price is competitive, customer service excellent & even though I’d selected free p&p the item arrived the next day & was securely packaged.

Excellent product

I have been using this company’s microchip feeders & cat flaps since 2015 and although quite expensive, they really are worth every penny.
Recently a feeder purchased in 2016 stopped working & despite the product being years out of warranty, Sure Petcare took the time to talk me through the problem & get the feeder working again.

Vile hybrid beef/plant burger

Purchased a pack of Birds Eye quarter pounder beef burgers as I have been doing for years so I didn’t think to read the packet, big mistake. The recipe has been changed to include rehydrated plant protein and just 55% of the burger is beef, they are awful & will no longer be on my shopping list. Fortunately in looking for an alternative to what was once a family favourite, I found a certain supermarket that prides itself on high standards of animal welfare sells a box of 4 quarter pounder beef burgers containing 85% beef for a cheaper price than the beef plant hybrids now sold by Birds Eye.

Short use by date & not of the best quality

As happened to another reviewer, we pre ordered a taste the difference free range turkey for collection on 24th only to find the use by date was the 26th which was the day we would be cooking it. £40 for a short dated, poorly prepared crown, never again.

missing ingredients

Both ceasar chicken & bacon wraps served without any bacon & hardly any lettuce or dressing, the two scraps of chicken were disgusting. I had to remake the wraps adding my own ingredients to make them edible.

Pretending to attempt delivery yet again

Yet another DPD driver claiming to have tried to deliver a package when they have not been anywhere near or by my property. With more & more houses covered by smart doorbells & cameras, these drivers must realise they will be caught out
Update
I am now being told that my parcel cannot be delivered because it is perishable and has been disposed of, it’s CAT LITTER!!!!
Also, no apology received or explanation as to why the delivery driver lied about attempting delivery. This company has no respect for its customers

Failed to deliver, usual story

Glorious weather but stuck indoors waiting for a DPD delivery only to receive a notification late in the day that they had attempted delivery & would try again tomorrow. We have CCTV & a Ring doorbell & can say with 100% confidence this awful company came nowhere near our property. Surely delivery drivers must be aware that quite a few households have camera doorbells etc these days but they continue to try to claim that they attempted to deliver.

An insurance company that cares

This is an insurance company that is 100% on your side & cares about your pet. The support & advice that I received during a recent claim complicated by an incorrect date supplied by my vet was outstanding. The incorrect date resulted in my claim being disallowed but Animal Friends listened to me offering advice as I appealed their decision. On receipt of the correct information my claim was reassessed & paid in full (less agreed excess) immediately.
