Serious Concerns Regarding Dental Treatment Experience



I am writing on behalf of my wife regarding her treatment experience with Elif’s Smile, as her original review was removed.
She arranged her treatment by phone with Christina. The problems began as soon as she landed at the airport, where she was left waiting for hours without proper assistance. During that time, she called me very upset, and I had to rearrange my work schedule to travel to Antalya because she was clearly distressed.
The following day, she called me again in tears, explaining that all her teeth had been shaved down almost to the gum line. My wife had very healthy natural teeth before this — she did not need implants or extensive work of that nature.
When I arrived at the clinic with her, the manager/director agreed to speak with us. He appeared polite and professional; however, I believe he needs to pay closer attention to his staff and their practices. I personally observed members of the dental staff frequently leaving the treatment area, going outside to smoke, or being on their phones during working hours. This was concerning.
Five months later, my wife began experiencing pain and swelling in her left cheek. A UK dentist later informed us that due to the excessive shaving of her teeth, two teeth developed infections. She required root canal treatment and additional corrective procedures.
We are sharing this experience to warn future patients to be cautious and to thoroughly research before committing to treatment.
