Don’t use snap rentals

We booked snap rentals in December 2025. We booked the car for the sole reason that we could pick it up from Auckland airport. This is a shuttle service, we then had to pay an extra $100 for premium location fees. What a joke . . . And extra fees for out of hours as our return flight was at 6am, so another company had to do the return transfer. It’s now a month later and I’m still getting charged fees for the tolls we used. $25 per toll for admin fees, when I can log on and pay the tolls online at the nz transport website for no fees. They send each toll individually then charge admin fees for each one. The car we rented was so old that the gps was an extra box the size of a packet of cigarettes. So was unusable, the lady on the front desk laughed and said, ‘our cars are sooo old - I wouldn’t use them’.
The windscreen wiper was only one wiper and did the entire windscreen, but was so old it didn’t wipe the middle, so the driver had to slide down and look under it making the car unroadworthy.
The girls on the front desk were lovely - so yes the customer service was great, but obviously masked a terrible business model ( outdated, unsafe cars) and so many hidden fees - we’ve used hire car companies before and have never had such a bad experience.
