Female staff member picking up vehicle rude and unhelpful. They had details of my flight which arrived about 4.15pm, rang at 4.30 and told too bad too sad no more shuttles get a taxi, office closes at 5 so Id better be quick! $22 later for the 5 min drive. I was not happy and was told get the rental or dont we are closing. Another person from the UK was in the office returning a vehicle and told bad luck too - get a taxi. I did take the vehicle and dropped off the other guy to his hotel - he was grateful. A week later when I returned the vehicle they apologized to me and refunded the taxi $. Didnt change what an awful experience it was when you have just landed into a city and it was still before 5pm in the afternoon! I use to live in Christchurch so knew my way around but for visitors I would be pretty upset
