Glad they are closing knew they wouldn't last long. Bunch of cowboys
Very annoyed as joined them after a big push by Martin Lewis (Money saving expert) in October 2024.I find out today that all is closing by April (Why). We now have to find another new account for my Euro visits and transactions.

Terrible company. Stay away. Opened an account to use the card as a travel card. First day of using it they blocked the card and the app so I was abroad with no access to the money. No idea why they blocked it as they have never told me. They haven’t attempted to contact me about it and they have no phone number for you to call. Emails only but response is that they can’t help you. I didn’t even know it was possible for a bank to keep your money like this and leave you without on holiday.

Critical Review of Zing's Customer Service and Account Handling
I am deeply disappointed with Zing's handling of my account, which was frozen over a week ago. Despite repeated complaints and clarifications that my account is solely used to receive my wages, customer service continues to provide the same generic and unhelpful responses. This lack of transparency and accountability has left me stranded financially, with no clear updates or timelines for resolution.
Under the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Handbook, particularly the Principles for Businesses (PRIN), firms are required to treat customers fairly (PRIN 6) and communicate information in a clear, fair, and non-misleading way (PRIN 7). Zing's repetitive and vague responses directly contravene these obligations, raising serious concerns about its adherence to regulatory standards.
If the issue is not resolved by Friday, I will escalate this matter by filing an official complaint with the FCA. Customers have the right to be treated with professionalism and transparency, and Zing's approach to account freezing without adequate communication appears not only inadequate but suspicious. I urge Zing to uphold its legal and ethical responsibilities immediately.

I initially had a great experience using this service on holiday, but upon returning to the UK, my account was blocked for review on January 9th. It’s now January 21st, and my account remains inaccessible, even though there is money in it. The only response I’ve received is that account reviews are conducted periodically. While I understand the necessity for these reviews, it’s unacceptable that I haven’t been able to use my account for 12 days. If I were still on holiday, this would be my only payment option, which is extremely concerning. This experience has made me seriously reconsider my choice to use Revolut, as I have never encountered such an issue before.

Zing lured me in with a "Refer a Friend" promotion promising £30 after meeting specific requirements, which I fulfilled. Shortly after confirming I had met the criteria, they closed my account without notice, refused to pay the reward.
Their excuses seem designed to avoid honoring their promotions, exploiting customers for data and financial activity without delivering on their promises. Customer service has been dismissive and unhelpful throughout.
I’ve raised the matter with the Financial Ombudsman Service, but I wouldn’t trust Zing with a penny again. Avoid this company at all costs.

I use Zing mainly for travels. Rate and fee are good, haven't had any issues using it abroad. The card package was quite nice, like the vivid colour choices. The only thing I wish for is support for more currencies in the future.

Opened a zing account to use abroad (south america) and it's been nothing short of amazing. One free withdrawal a month and free use of contact less facilities. Well worth having

I am currently on vacation in Cuba, and have been unable to use my Zing card in all the time I have been here.
As well as this, I cannot move the money I do have on my Zing card to another debit card because the app does not work here in Cuba.
I have emailed several times and despite Zing informing me that the card can work here I still cannot use it.

Worst service provider
I just received 100£ from my friend for the first time and they freeze my acc and don’t let that money go.
I provided my pay slips and other documents but they still can’t satisfy and they are reviewing the account and it takes for weeks… and last, they even don’t answer my question in their “in-app Zing care 24/7 service”. How ridiculous. Seems like they like to stole my money. How useless. Never Use it

Have locked a good amount of money and frozen my account and then have given me no correspondence on how to get my account unfrozen
I referred other people successfully to them to earn £30 per referral. They then cancelled my account for no reason and I didn’t get the referral money that I earned.
They are an awful company to deal. They were promoted by Martin Lewis on his money show. He should not put his name to this company as it would destroy his reputation
Only used the app one - great so far. I have received my referral bonus as promised.
They have great marketing materials (i.e. I love how the physical bank card arrived in the post).

I’m not sure what’s going on with Zing. Opened an account 24th October. Deposited £10 to start the account off. Shortly after I received a message to say my account is under review. Fast forward to today 9th January I’ve messaged them twice heard nothing. Very strange, I’m a women in my seventies on a state pension. I’m hardly into money laundering. I have an exceptional credit rating.
I’ve asked them to cancel my account and return my £10. It may not be very much but at the end of the day it’s my money and I want it back!
Closed my account without any reason
