The whole team at Zen Windows were brilliant from start to finish, great communication with all the building materials arriving on time, a very professional team, I would highly recommend.

The staff are very helpful and the products very good quality. The fitters were excellent and did a very good job for us. We are so pleased with the results.
Wanting to replace a bay and French windows, we had started off with a large local company which we had used previously, and had been happy with the result. However, the person we were dealing with this time was uninformative, and it felt as if he would say anything for a sale. Based on the TrustPilot reviews, we contacted Zen Windows, and were impressed by the response and ordered with them. The ordering process, including the ability to discuss technical clarifications went very well. We got a positive feeling of a focussed small company and were already planning to order a further window (What we didn’t realise until later that this meant that both manufacture and installation would be sub-contracted).
We were informed that there had been a problem with the manufacturing, but that the unit could still be installed within a reasonably short timescale, with the top-hung vents functional but incorrectly detailed, to be replaced subsequently. We agreed to this.
The unit was installed on 17th April but left with the door catch not engaging, and with the skirting board damaged and not properly re-fitted. This was rectified soon after.
After that it all went quiet; no communications from Zen unless we chased them. To cut the story short, installation of the replacement vents was attempted on 10 July but only one fitted. The installation was finally completed on 18 August(!).
So a four month wait for final completion, with minimal contact from Zen. (Ironically, the invoice for the final balance was received the following day).
Zen is unapologetic.
Rating: Final product 5*, installation and communication 2* at best.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We're pleased to hear that you were impressed with our service during the ordering process and that you're happy with the quality of your finished windows.
We would just like to clarify a few points regarding the installation and subsequent remedial work.
Your windows were installed as scheduled, fully glazed and operational throughout. The outstanding issue related solely to decorative sash horns - traditional-style detailing which is purely aesthetic and does not affect the operation or performance of the windows.
As these are factory-fabricated components, the replacement sashes had to be manufactured by our supplier at their factory, rather than altered or produced by our installation team.
Unfortunately, the necessary components were initially on back order. Producing replacement sashes separately from the original window assemblies presented some technical fitting challenges, meaning that a further factory adjustment and second visit by factory staff were required to achieve the a perfect result.
We would also like to clarify the point regarding subcontracting. Your original installation was carried out by Andy, one of our directly employed installers, who has been a valued member of the ZEN Windows team for six years.
The engineers who attended subsequently were from the manufacturer's own service department, attending specifically to undertake the specialist remedial work on components produced at the factory. We believe their involvement may have led to the misunderstanding regarding subcontractors, as these engineers were representatives of the manufacturer itself, rather than subcontracted installers working on behalf of ZEN.
We also understand that some of the telephone messages referred to in your feedback were left with the manufacturer's service department rather than with ZEN directly. This may have contributed to some confusion regarding communication during the remedial process.
We recognise that completing the decorative detailing took longer than anticipated due the delay of these parts from Germany.
We take enormous pride in our workmanship, customer care and reputation. While unforeseen manufacturing complications can occasionally arise with bespoke products, we remain committed to seeing matters through and ensuring our customers receive the quality and specification they were promised.
