The most incompetent and misleading dealership I’ve ever dealt with
I have had repeated and deeply frustrating experiences with Zeeuw & Zeeuw when servicing my Mitsubishi Outlander. Each time I brought the car in, they came up with new, questionable problems — often issues that had never presented themselves before — and charged me a fortune for repairs that either had no effect or made things worse.
One notable case was last year, when they insisted I replace a wheel bearing despite having no prior complaints or symptoms. Trusting their judgment, I agreed — only to immediately start experiencing serious issues afterward: an irritating whistling sound while braking and strong vibrations in the steering wheel above 60 km/h. For three months, Zeeuw & Zeeuw denied any responsibility and claimed everything was “normal.” Eventually, after seeking a second opinion, I was informed that due to poor service and improper installation, the entire wheel assembly — including the brakes — now needed replacing, at a cost of over €1500. After significant back-and-forth, they finally replaced the wheel at no cost — but the damage to trust was already done.
Despite that, I decided to give them another chance this year for an APK inspection. That was a BIG MISTAKE. This time, they claimed the condenser of the cooling system was leaking and pushed for an expensive replacement. When I refused, they tried to withhold the APK, which was completely unreasonable. After the service, a strong odor began circulating in the car, and again I had to return for clarification. Now they claimed not only the condenser but also the evaporator was leaking — and quoted €1600 for the repair. Thankfully, I consulted two independent air conditioning services who fixed the issue for about €50.
The level of incompetence, misdiagnosis, and upselling I experienced is simply unacceptable.
They repeatedly misrepresented issues, refused accountability, and pushed unnecessary and costly repairs.
