I am updating my previous review. I have been a Gold member for about 4 years.

Today, I searched ZapSplat for a sound to play in an alarm. My alarm comes with about 50 sounds in the app, but none fit the new alarm I set today, which will play every day at 6:00 p.m.

I wasn't looking for a particular sound; in fact, any type of sound would be OK if it fit the alarm. And this is why I like ZapSplat so much. When I don't know the type of sound I want, ZapSplat is so well organized and the sounds described so completely that I can move quickly between many sounds in different categories, letting the sound itself convince me, "This is the one."

After listening to many sounds, one fit my new daily 6:00 p.m. alarm perfectly. The quality is excellent.

That's another reason I like ZapSplat: I enjoy each sound I download.

Most of my ZapSplat sounds play frequently. High quality and perfect fit for the application are important.

I have always been able to find the perfect sound.

I'm actually wanting to edit my previous review. I made a judgement much too quickly and far too harsh. I made the assumption that their cookie policy was intentionally aggressive and misleading, and controlled by a company with more than enough employees to ensure mistakes of that caliber did not occur. After speaking with one of the team directly (which is what I should have done to begin with) I was informed that the whole thing is run by just three guys, and they've been struggling with the geolocation logic, causing the default banner to display when it should not. They were very kind and understanding (completely the opposite of any large company I've ever delt with!). 5 stars is honestly too low...

2025: 4+ months later you still haven't added filters, the design is terrible, what's the point of the new design if it's WORSE?

UPD: 1 year later, it's still barely usable. Filters are hidden, requiring pressing an extra button every time you want to change the filter. To change the duration you have to click 3 times instead of 1. Lmao. Useless, corporate and terrible in terms of user experience. Congrats, you made literally the worst experience possible. AI images as a cherry on top. YUCKY.

Excellent variety and quality of effects, easy to navigate and use, highly recommended.

Excellent quality, realistic, immersive & well made sounds effects for essentially any type of media. I use Zapsplat exclusively for my animations (I am current a hobbyist making CGI movies in blender) and have been a Gold Member subscriber on Zapsplat for several years now and every penny has been extremely well spent.

As I said I use Zapsplat effects exclusively and I have had no issues with the variety, quality, immersiveness and types of sounds available for Science Fiction use (from warfare to engine sounds, to handling backpack sound effect, footsteps in all types of terrain, metal stress noises, impacts, space craft ambience, weather, literally - you name it they have almost certainly have it with excellent professional recording quality).

All of my animations use Zapsplat sounds, the only editing I do is pitch, reverb, low/highpass directional channels (left/right) to make them fit into the scene perfectly. Almost all of the sounds have left/right channels so I can do directional effects with the sounds with no problem.
I would link my website here with my animations but I am anxious about sharing my website or if I'm even allowed to do it, but it would make a good showcase for my use of Zapsplat sounds.

Lastly, the value for money on their Gold Subscription is absolutely fantastic. as of writing I Pay £30/year for unlimited access to their sounds and this is more than worth it to bring my universe to life. Remember sound design is EXTREMELY important in any movie, and I trust Zapsplat sounds entirely I didn't need to look anywhere else honestly. I have autistic spectrum disorder and getting it just right is really important to me.

I found many sfx in this site, and it solve my problem. now I can easily find sfx in this site

I purchased the Gold membership, but for some reason, my sounds wouldn't pull over into my audio editor. Wrote to customer service, and a refund was issued within 7 hours of purchase. Top notch customer service, and if I can figure out what is wrong with my PC, I will definitely come back to these website for sound effects!

I have been a Gold member for a year. I always find the perfect sound. The quality of the sounds is excellent.

It's easy to find sounds because the owner of the ZapSplat gives super descriptions. He describes the sounds the way I would!

The website design is first class.

Today I wanted a new incoming email sound. I wanted a warm chime -- I found it is about 30 seconds.

Free and easy to use on my youtube channel. A good and unique selection of sound effects that can really juj up my videos!
