Had excellent service. I've done most of background work myself so was just looking for recommendation of contractors to install a heat pump at my home. I chose one of them (PlugMeIn) who did an excellent job and we are still enjoying a benefits of a nicely heated home with much less concern about the amount of fossil fuels we were burning up.
I contacted Your Home Better about getting an Air Source Heat Pump fitted. They come do a heat loss survey, which you pay for. This is then send to trusted installers. The installers respond to YHB with initial quotes, based on the heat loss survey. These are then forwarded on and the installer company then come and do a survey and provide a firm quote. I was not charged for the installer surveys.
I had three installers visit, which all took a while but its necessary to take advantage of the government grant. The heat pump was fitted mid October and is fabulous.
I wouldn't have contemplated taking the plunge without Your Home Better, thanks to you all.

I have met the Your Home Better team many a time.
What strikes me is their commitment to helping people across Manchester like me with energy advice, and how to refurbish my home to reduce my energy consumption and make it a healthier place to live.
Their advice service includes a touring lorry (it looks like a mobile library) offering home efficiency advice.
I went to a mobile session in Sale West on Wednesday this week to get advice for my mum and me about a mould issue we have. Simple things we can do plus also our family is looking at someone to fit solar panels once we have sorted out the garden. I think Your Home Better ticks all the boxes.
When you meet Your Home Better in person they are very friendly and put you at ease. You get the rare feeling that they enjoy helping people.
