Sorry I am going to break with tradition here which goes against all the “good” reviews for YES glazing. I have been meaning to do this for quite a while!

After retiring last year my wife and I went about getting our dream kitchen built. It has a glass Apex canopy and open front glass overlooking the garden.

We got on board with Yes glazing with Toby who was the YES salesman. Full credit to him Very good and helpful but unfortunately he left which dropped us in it! Sorry to say the contracts guy who came to see us was not very helpful and overhearing conversations between him and our builders he was suggesting everything wrong!!!!

From the start in the Construction our building contractor found it a complete nightmare. I do have an engineering degree and full engineering chartership (FIMechE) which spanned 30 years so I do know “a little” about engineering and the details we got from YES we’re not the best!
Drawings drawn out of scale and no complete drawing to show exactly what we were getting and properly defined locations and heights for our building contractor!

We should have been able to see exactly what we were getting but instead all the bits came in various boxes and were hastily put together on the day of installation. Surprise!!! …yes it certainly was!

To the bit that REALLY niggles me which after paying £45k leaves me absolutely fuming!!! We have two opening windows with electric actuators which were the last things fitted the fitters came. Surprise!!! Oh yes!! The fitters knew this was wrong and very quickly bolted them on and left leaving the electric wiring dangling down external to the frames. We were told by YES glazing we don’t do electrics; sort that out yourself!
Well ok we sorted that out but left the £45k window frames (which do look superb) completely ruined by the site of the power wiring left dangling down.
So please take the lovely pictures of YES glazing with a “pinch of salt” because it will be completely ruined by the power wires (or lovely plastic conduit!) if you go this option!

To do the job properly, it needed more care from the fitters and on behalf of YES glazing pride in the job they were doing. The job should have included a trial assembly and the frames drilled out to conceal the electric wiring inside. 8mm rubber Grommets fitted at the interfaces for the wiring entering the frames.

Our Building contractor would write a book on the YES glazing if I let them. YES glazing completely wrong footed them meaning the height of the offsets onto the roof to be too shallow with the top edge about 2in above the felt level. Our building contractor also had to correct the roof line by two inches with a twist in the frame.

Enough of the building contractor.

I remain bitterly disappointed that our lovely windows are blighted by these horrible electrical wires which we have no choice other than sticking down the inside of the windows!
NO YES glazing the solution is NOT to stick a rotten bit of plastic conduit down the side of the window to hide the mistake you did not conceal the wiring inside the frames!

We had a replacement of a skylight, with an opening this time. The opening section is 2m and total length of skylight 4m. The old was taken off with care and new one impeccably installed. The guys were real professionals, took proper care to minimize any rubbish, damage etc. They cleaned up after so well, you wouldn't know they has been! This new one and previous one 19 years ago are both excellent products. Thank you all.

Possibly one of the best firms around for customer service. They obviously pride themselves on engaging with the customer and this shines through from the support team in office to the team fitting the product. A genuinely nice group of individuals and the products supplied are the quality you’d expect to match!
It’s unusual for a job to go without a hitch (30+ windows) and the measure of their success is how this was handled, prompt, with honesty and with careful customer focus. No hesitation in recommending and would use them again, although hopefully that’s all our window solutions sorted for life!

We have used Yes Glazing on two occasions now, and on both they have been extremely professional and helpful in the sales, build and fitting process.

We live in an older property with a lot of original Crittall windows and we replaced the more recent, and poor quality glazed wooden doors we inherited when we bought the house, with YES Glazing's steel look doors. While these have a more contemporary look they complement the original windows brilliantly, and bring a level of practicality, efficiency and security to the house which we needed.

The product quality and value is excellent and exceeds the other brands we considered, and the team at YES clearly have pride in what they do and want to deliver excellent customer service, which they have done!

We would especially like to thank the expert fitters James and Stelios who were so courteous and accommodating in how they worked. They managed to install the doors so skilfully that it was hard to spot any evidence of their work and we were over the moon with the result.

We'd recommend Yes Glazing unreservedly and will certainly use them a third time if we ever find the need!

Communication is the key to success and these guys have that down to a fine art. From the initial meeting, through quotation, surveys, product manufacturing to our installation today, they shone with an abundance.

Our scheduled installer unfortunately went out sick this week and rather than call us to re-schedule, the Managing Director of the company came to complete the installation himself. That is true ownership and accountability and the art of putting the customers first.

The only downside to the installation of a stunning new front door and side panel is that we are now spending more money to have the windows replaced to really finish off the look of our house.

I have no hesitation in recommending this company and very rarely applaud such praise, but this was well above expectations both in terms of the quality of the product, but more importantly, the outstanding service received from all the staff.

The whole team is a credit and should be applauded.
