Absolutely dreadful customer service. I received a call from an extremely rude delivery driver who said he was delivering my radiators. No prior warning or negotiation regarding the delivery. He was lost in town. I tried to direct him to my apartment where I would be able to let him in remotely even though I was at work and miles away. After putting the phone down on me several times and screaming at me that this was not his fault, he arrived at the front door only to say he wasn’t dropping them off and I would have to have another delivery date. I rang ximax customer services to complain and spoke to Liv who was one of the worst customer service representatives I’ve ever had to deal with. Extremely unhelpful, had a number for the courier but wouldn’t give it me, would only email them herself to verify the revised delivery date, wouldn’t let me speak to another person on a higher level because “he was off sick and not likely to return soon”, said this was the only person she could escalate it too as he was the owner, couldn’t explain why I hadn’t been contacted to agree the delivery date etc etc. Eventually I got her to say she would phone the couriers and see if she could find out when they were being redelivered but this was done very grudgingly and after I said I would find the details myself and do her job for her. Very very poor customer service. I’m still waiting to hear when the radiators will be delivered so after all this they’d better be outstanding quality because if they’re that same standard as their customer service they’ll be returned straight away
I ordered 2 radiators, they arrived 2 days before given delivery date. I was damaged. I arranged a return. An hour collection time was given, but they came at a completely different time. This meant another collection time was needed. I was told that the precise hour time frame was only approx, 17:42-18:42, but the same happened the next day, the driver arrived hours before. The radiator was collected on the 19th of June, but I still hadn't heard anything by the 21st. I phoned Ximax who were totally disinterested and wouldn't arrange a refund until they know where the radiator was. They told me they could only email DHL and await their response. They told me DHL doesn't have a phone number, which was total fabrication. I managed to ascertain that the radiator was in Edinburgh and when I phoned Ximax back, they refused to contact them directly and said they would wait for an email, despite me being financially out of pocket, they were completely disinterested in speeding up my refund. DO NOT USE. THEY ARE HAPPY TO KEEP YOUR MONEY, BUT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRENDOUS!
Similar to other people, I purchased Ximax radiators and they have begun to corrode where the fitting is. They have been extremely unhelpful, suggesting it was the fault of the plumber who installed them, a very reliable and experienced gentleman. I would avoid buying any radiators from them.
DONT BUY XIMAX ITS VERY EXPENSIVE AND DOSE NOT DO AS ADVERTISED.
We purchased and it doses not throw out heat. Total waist of money and all they say is it down to the fitting, just an insult to very good plumbers. Unless product
I bought two Ximax column radiators from Toolstation..
Absolutely terrible for heating up .
The other standard radiators I bought from B&Q heat up in a minute .
The column radiators take over half an hour just to warm up..
I will have to remove them, I spent over £500 on them.
Have to remove them and buy a different type of proven radiator because I can’t live in a fridge
Had a problem with towel rail brackets. Phoned ETS who sent me extra brackets at no charge. Excellent service, thank you.
faulty radiator cold spots everywhere got intouch with screwfix where i bought it and they contacted the manufacturer but they didn't call back after 3 attempts they just thought id go away however the radiator is faulty so i won't go away. Keep away from ximax oceanus radiators they arnt any good
I contacted Customer Services as I had heard nothing from them after I submitted a towel rail enquiry via their contact form on their website over a week ago. The lady I spoke to, whilst polite, couldn’t confirm whether they’d received my enquiry, had no way of checking and therefore suggested I send my enquiry again via an email address she provided.
I decided rather than waste more time, I would look up the details I had previously provided, obtain the details of my radiator and call back. I also suggested that their website should be amended ASAP if the contact form was not the best way of contacting them!?!?!?!
When I spoke to Customer Services again, I was then informed they did not sell the towel rail I required for my Bristol radiator. Why couldn’t I have been told this during my first call? What a complete waste of my time.
Customer Services is a right shambles and Ximax’s website is pretty poor, hence why I had to make contact as I was not able to self-serve and resolve my enquiry via their website
I have purchased 12 Ximax Fortuna radiators over the last few years via Screwfix, and all were fitted by qualified heating engineers, not myself.
Gave us the look we wanted, however after around 12 months about half have started to corrode around the fittings (which were supplied with the radiators)
Screwfix were not interested and referred me to Ximax customer services who I contacted and had to chase to get a response. They were completely uninterested said the fittings must have leaked causing the paint to crack and allow the steel underneath to rust.
I will not buy another thing from this firm and suggest other customers think long and hard before they consider these radiators.
Poor quality and even worse customer service.
I bought 3 upright Ximax radiators from toolstation, with the "flush panel" finish. After installing one of them, the radiators flush panel came loose because they didn't use adhesive that is heat resistant (!!) despite it being a radiator.
After a number of emails trying to resolve including photos etc, I was offered a "touch up paint" kit from Ximax (!!????) After rejecting that, Ximax responded, and I quote, "Because the radiator has been installed, it is not covered by the manufacturers warranty" Let that sink in - once you find a manufacturing fault with it in operation, it doesn't actually have a warranty.
Absolutely shocking and by far the worst product bought for a significant renovation.
These radiators are absolutely awful and the customer service is to match 7 designer radiators purchased from screwfix and everyone the paint is coming of and started to leak and the ones that are on rooms that are south facing have stated to turn a nasty yellow colour. These are £300-400 rads.
all i get from customer services is installation error. I’ve been plumbing for 25 years. Avoid these at all costs.
